Light Headed and Foggy Brained

I'm headed into week four and have lost 15 pounds. The last week, I have felt light headed and somewhat foggy, almost like wheat brain. I've been sleeping 9-10 hours a night. I'm making sure to eat salt and drinking. Anyone else have these reactions?

Have you changed your activity levels?
Are you keeping hydrated...Florida can sneak up on you in the sunshine department..
15# in 4 weeks is quite amazing...even at the beginning!!!
Do you have history of BP issues...have you checked it?
Be gentle to yourself...does it happen at a certain time of day? ...or before/after you eat?
Each of us has to 'trouble shoot' our own body...and just when we think we have it figured out...our body changes..

NEVER GIVE UP ! !

Post some of your menus. In particular, I want to see the percentage of fat you are eating.

It looks like you are eating the right stuff. I would make sure you add fat with lunch and dinner. Maybe put some butter on top the salmon and or asparagus.

Are you using one of the on line tackers? If you put the menu in there with the amounts you will get the calories and there percentages of fat, protein and carbs. We try to stay around 60-65% fat, 30-35% protein, and 5% carbs. I sometimes feel off if I end up not eating enough fat.

You also might not be eating enough calories. While we don't count calories on Atkins, our bodies do need calories to operate. Make sure your calories are up around 1,600 or more. I'm a guy and I typically eat around 1,800 without really worrying about it when I eat Induction Foods and stay in the fat, protein, and carb ratios above.

Light-headedness seems to be subsiding. I've been eating more protein the last few days and even dropped 2.5 pounds this week.

Fantastic! This way of eating is counter-intuitive a lot of times. Sometime you really need forget what you have learned about dieting in the past and just trust this way of eating. A lot of people struggle because they don't eat enough fat or protein when they first start. Fat is usually the one people don't get enough of because we have been taught for a long time that fat is the enemy. Well it isn't, sugar is.

I've started to use *********.com to track food. This tracker seems to be the only one that can tracket net carbs and very easy to use. New habit to develope.

Hi Nevis! How are you feeling now? I have been feeling really pretty sick all day. Been really wanting sweets also. Weird.
