You're such dears BUT Mthergoos you lost what... 100 lbs before things started to slow. Really. You did what before... 10-12 a month... every month??? You're at 125 lbs down in just over a year, is it??? Wow!

You know what, I'm some what okay with what I'm eating so until it stops I guess I'll just shut my mouth for awhile and chill.

Thanks for humoring me. It's a blessing have you's to talk to.

Congrats to all those losing!!

Bonny, I only lost 4lbs last month. As long as you are still losing a lb or more a week, I don't think any other diet or woe will get you to lose more. The only thing I can really think of helping would be to go completely off plan and out of ketosis for a week and then start again fresh with induction. That may make your body think it is a restart and you could get those big drops.

Me I have lost NOTHING...... Ugggghhhhhhh There should be no way a digital scale stays EXACTLY the same for a week.

2/1 162.4
2/2 161.6
2/3 161.6
2/4 161.6
2/5 161.6
2/6 161.6

You are welcome. Mthrgoos...it was like a revelation when I saw your numbers. Because in my mind, I want to have a huge loss every week, but I realize that may not happen all the time, but slow and steady definitely adds up. When I get closer to goal...and the #s start to slow down...I will keep this post in mind.

Belly Fat

I do have a question for you all who have lost. How long did it take for you to notice that your stomach was shrinking? I am hoping that I am not sabotaging myself by doing ab workouts, especially knowing that working out is not absolutely necessary. I just want this big ring of fat gone from around my waist...

UGH, Kway let's not discuss stomach fat. For me, I definitely carry my fat all over. It's distributed all over my body, but my stomach is definitely a loose saggy mess. I don't really think that exercise would help me much, for the most part it's loose skin that used to be filled with fat. Hopefully it will continue to shrink some over time, but if not, I'll just live with it. It definitely looks WAY better in clothes than it used to, so even if it's not the stomach I want, at least it's better than it was.

Bonny, LOL. You are right, I did lose quick in the beginning, but I started at 300 pounds! YIKES!!! I was just pointing out that you and I are at about the same weight and losing at about the same rate. When you don't have as much to lose in the beginning, you don't lose as much in the beginning. You know what I mean? You started at 228, so you didn't have as much to lose as I did to get those bigger losses for more time. Now, at the same weight, we're losing at about the same rate.

Missy, my BF has suggested doing that too. Taking just one or two days and going off induction and then jumping back on, but it scares the crud out of me to do that. Did you get a new battery for that scale yet?????

For me I noticed that my belly "bloat" was gone in 1.5 weeks. Just the Bloat mind you - my amplified muffin top. I am down 9.5 pounds since starting up again on Jan 24.. Today I had a couple of co-workers comment on it, so that really helps keep me motivated, hehe

FYI ~ MtherGoos is right, the more you have to lose, the bigger your initial losses. I started at 296 7 years ago and lost 130 within a year.... then I just stayed there, pretty happy until I went completely off plan... three years ago I put on ten lbs.... then another 10... then an other..... well, you get it. Losing these 40 lbs has been much much slower than my first trip, but I am starting 100 lbs less.... that is ok though. I see them going, even if it is ounces at a time Those ounces add up

Finally lost .6 at weigh-in today: I am down to 153.2. I hate when it slows to a crawl after going so well. But I also know it's normal. NOT GIVING UP!

You made me laugh Seriously though, I personally know I will never eat the three big no-nos - potatoes, pasta, rice ever again so that would not be a suggestion. But maybe for a three days to a week eat other foods from NANY phase 3 or 4 - beans like navy or black beans, fruit like bananas (1 banana has 21 ncarbs) or peaches, corn, grits, carrots always throw me out of ketosis for some reason and they are only 10 net carbs for 3/4c. You've been staying under 5 carbs per day most days so I would go to 40 or higher per day.
And again just a suggestion only. Warning: may kick you out of ketosis

Mthergoos, nope haven't gotten new batteries for the scale yet. I had a bad afternoon. I wasn't around when one of my rabbits delivered and the babies were all passed when I found them today. Usually if I am around I can save them and then handfeed if needed. This was actually the second try with this doe - not a good mother so she will be leaving soon. We weren't expecting litters as it had been over a week since they were due if took. I guess the cold snap we had delayed delivery. This evening another doe gave birth so we brought her and the kits inside. Only one more to check on in the morning.

Missy Dee, either that scale isn't working correctly or you are due for a big whoosh! Regardless, you're still good!

Bonny-Jean, this woe is definitely for you because if you up and leave this group....things would just fall apart! LOL But really, what other woe can you lose weight without exercising? You're going to hit goal so just keep plugging along.

Kway, I belong to an online group of fit moms who bust butt in the gym every day trying to get perfect abs. Even they all agree that abs are made in the kitchen and not the gym. When I first started LCing, I noticed the bloat gone within a few days but it took over a month before I could really tell my stomach was going down. You're doing great with your losses so you'll be seeing results in no time.

Mthergoos, I guess you could say that I'm testing that theory out of going off plan and then hitting induction again. I'll let you know how it goes. I'm going to do weekly weigh-ins instead of daily. Today is the first day that I've been on plan even though I've probably eaten a few too many veggies. I'd say 2 cups of boiled cabbage, 1 slice of tomatoe, 2 lettuce leaves, and half a pickle. Tomorrow I'll just stick with the cabbage and do my weekly weigh-in.

Congrats to everyone losing and staying on plan!

Today I woke up feeling mentally better than I have in a long time. I stayed on plan today with no cravings except for a cheeseburger. I indulged without a bun so all is good. I get a lot of motivation from you all but also a moms fitness group that I belong too. Seeing before and after pics helps tremendously. One lady posted that she lost 40 lbs in 37 days by doing the paleo diet and walking everyday for about 2 hrs. She did in one month what has taken me a full year. I guess my bum needs to get running again.

I've ordered Dr. Atkin's Diet Revolution circa 1972. I think it being more simplified will help me with losing weight. I just hope it doesn't increase the chance of gout or hikes up my cholesterol.

Good Morning!!! We had a little bit of snow last night but not enough to cause any problems.....I was too busy cooking for the family, a great big lasagna, garlic bread, salad and you know, I didn't even want any of it...the happiness of seeing a little bit of a loss each morning is better than the taste of that food...Missy, watching the amounts of protein to fat seems to be doing the trick for me....no big whooses but steadily lower and lower each day.....Thanks for the input!!! Bonnie-Jean, don't you go anywhere...We would miss you too much!!!

Mthergoos, BulldogMom, Kway, Avaleigh, Missy:

Ah, thanks you guys. I'm wrapping myself up with all your kind words and support. I FEEL THE LOVE!!! I'm not going anywhere soon, well certainly not at this rate!!! I just wondered if changing diets would help but come to think of it, I can't think of any other that would allow me to eat meat and I'm a carnivore so I'll have to consider kicking myself out of ketosis, which I'm not 100% sure that I'm even IN!!! I was really hoping to lose at least 30 by May 22 but obviously that's not gonna happen, certainly not without exercise. Ugh, so don't wanna go there!
I went to my doctor on Wed to get a full CBC & Chems and he refused to do it until I had a physical cause I haven't had one since 2008! Oops! Not a big deal unless your doctor is 20 yrs younger than you and looks like GEORGE CLOONEY for God's sake!!! Holy Hell!!! I'm just sick about that happening. I told him what was doing was EXTORTION!!! I know he doesn't give a rat's patootie about that but it bothers me. Ooohh, the things us women must endure!!
Well, I hope today is kind to you all. Love Ya More!!

So after this last carb-fest, I know my weight was higher than 195, I just decided not to weigh myself again. That was on the 5th. Yesterday was one full day of eating on plan just a few more veggies than I normally would. So we shall see if going off plan shook my body up enough to want to drop weight faster or if I took too much time off and my body says its going to lose much slower because this is round 3 of induction. Either way, I feel better without the starchy carbs.

Bonny Sometimes I find a cheat day can help me out of a stall, I eat and drink what I want.. Only problem is sometimes I have multiple cheat days.. So dont do that stick to one and hit right back on it the next day. It will knock you out of ketosis but you'll be back in soon.
Althea Wow.. Amazing will power!! There is no way I would have been able to cook that all day and not eat any.. Great mind set you have going!! Congrats!
