Good Afternoon everyone! First my stats

2/1~~218
2/2~~217.6
2/3~~218
2/4~~217.6

Talk about yoyo'ing! I do plan on running at least 30-45 minutes at least 5 days a week so I am excited about kickstarting that and hopefully seeing these numbers drop even faster plus toning up.

And something that has made me sooo happy is having to get rid of about 2 pairs of my pants because they haven't gotten waaayyy to baggy! I almost cried seeing my pants hang off my increasingly slimming waist.

You all are super chatty this month! I don't know where to begin so I'll just say congrats to all of the losers!

Mthergoose, you look great in those overalls!

Its another dreary day but instead of snow, we have rain. I ended up having to take a nap.... and I don't think I woke up skinnier Bonny! LOL I'm so ready for Spring. I'll do a weigh in on Friday or Saturday. I don't want to face the scale just yet.

Mthrgoos : I have to agree you looked good in your dungarees, it must have done you good to be able to get into them again, really motivating, you have come a long way.
Cudabear: where did you go on your holidays? my son is in Calgary where you live only he is working on the oil rigs.
Katrina: did you see I peeked in at your journal, I am so nosy lol, yes I think 72 is going to work better for me, I hadn't heard of it until today, its so good having all these people to guide me and put me right, can't wait to drop more weight, thanks again.
The vibrating alarm is one of my favorite features ~ I have it set for every 30 minutes so that I am reminded to get up and walk around, and also to get a refill on my water, LOL.... I find the sleep tracker to be really accurate.... all in all the best 100 bucks I ever spent on fitness equipment.

We're supposed to get 10-16 inches of snow overnight and in the morning. I made a run to town for bacon (how on earth did we get down to only 4 strips of bacon left in the house???!!!), butter, eggs, cheese, heavy cream, spinach, toilet paper, pork rinds, and lunch meat for the kids. Filled my gas tank. Hit the liquor store for vodka!!! After this horrible winter, I am ready for my first Diet Cran-Grape and vodka cocktail since early December!

Thanks BulldogMom! I'm sorry you're having such a rough month. I know winter can be so hard when we're stuck indoors and it's cold and dreary. Don't give up though, we're here for you and you can definitely get through this.

Laura, I don't want you to give up either. You've had so much going on! Between work being crazy, and things at home changing, I know it can be overwhelming, and taking care of yourself takes a back seat, but don't give up. We're here for you. One choice at a time you can get back on track.

Hi all.
Sorry to be so late. So far it has been a good day for me. Had a nice walk this morning and then worked in the yard digging up some bearded Iris that where about to take a flower bed over. It's been so nice and unseasonably warm ( not rubbing it in ) I feel for all of you that have to put up with the cold and snow.
I also dug out some fabric that I had and started to sew, keeps me busy and away from food.
Having grilled teriyaki chicken breasts, fresh green beans and salad tonight. Getting hungry just thinking about it.

Hey! Crazy hectic week for me so far and it's only Tuesday! Crappy weather and we're supposed to get major ice storm tonight. If I'm home from work with the kids I'll have time to get caught up then.

I must say though, LOVE the overalls mthergoos! You look amazing!

Congrats to our losers and everyone staying in plan. I haven't been perfect, but not terrible given my week!

Thanks Julie! I don't envy you all the weather you're having! It's definitely much harder to stay on plan during the winter, but especially when you're trapped indoors with too much time on your hands! Stay warm and safe!

Good luck to all of us tomorrow, it would be nice if every single one of us had a loss and then we could have a party lol.
So if we all lose I will bring the Bacardi lol.

KWay, I copied this from the 72 link I posted = "..on pg. 126 he wants you to take in double the daily minimum multivitamin requirement with at least 800 units Vit E, 1000mg Vit C, double the recommended Vit B complex. He says not to go over recommended dosge for vit D and Vit A. He also says to take in additional calcium if you experience leg cramps and extra potassium for fatigue, and salt for weakness from rapid weight loss."

I don't think it matters what multivitamin just that you get the appropriate dosages. From what I remember reading on it, the dosage amounts recommended are due to the diet not getting a sufficient amount of those vitamins to sustain weight loss and without losing muscle or getting fatigued.

Added: I wonder if that could be why weight loss slows down for many of us?? Just thought of that. I may start following his advice on the vitamin intake and see if that makes a difference. I knew there was a reason I should continually re-read my books.

Ok... well then I have the Bacardi, could you bring the coke with you lol. but we all have to lose otherwise I am calling the party off.

Kway (Katrina): you asked about vitamins, remembering I have only just started low carbing so am not up to speed on it all but I just looked it up and what I read was when low carbing a multivitamin and omega 3 supplement are recommended.
Which is interesting as I haven't got any multivitamins but I do take omega 3 fish oil, so I am glad you brought it up, think I might get some tomorrow if this rain ever stops....did you know most of England is flooded with all the rain we have had this year, when we take the dogs to the park most days the seagulls are swimming as the grass is like a lake lol, and last week walking at the beach the swans were swimming on the sidewalks lol, no kidding, it does make me laugh, they say we haven't had rain like this in three century's, I think most of the country side is under water....sorry I am rambling and getting boring now lol.

Yeah we were writing at the same time Sandy. Always respond when you can. It really helps to get multi- opinions and most time I am quoting from the books I read and some experiences. We all learn from everyone and that is what keeps us going strong!

Just a warning on the fish oil from experience - anyone that takes any antidepressants for any reason this includes the ones used as smoking cessation aids do not take fish oil without talking to your doctor!!! Fish oil tablets - Omega 3 is used to help people coming off the antidepressants because they also alter brain chemistry similar to antidepressants. If you take them while using AD's you can have some serious side effects.

Missy dee....really, wow that is so cool, I love learning new stuff, it is so funny you mention it as I have been trying to get my sister to take omega 3 and she is on antidepressants...oh my gosh...I always think most things happen for a reason so I am so glad I posted now as I honestly didn't know that and its an important thing to know...I will stop bugging my sister to take them now....wow I am still in shock, I could have made things so much worse....thank you so much for letting me know...now I think I need a Bacardi lol.

The lamb didn't fit into the slow cooker so my DW used the same pan as we use for turkey. We reduced the dripping afterward & boy it was good

Missy: guess Kemp & I don't have anything in common except for starting weight; at 6'3", 270 doesn't look that big.
Never tried homemade pork rinds; will have to search for a recipe.

MotherGoose; congrats on the overalls. Proof of the pudding for me will be when the warm weather arrives & my "dickies" shorts fit without cutting circulation off to my ....

Anyhow, off to the gym tomorrow afternoon to see if there's a work around for my uncooperative wrists. Not looking forward to knuckle pushups

CDN, 6'3 and 270 that's not bad. What are you trying to get down to? For pork rinds I just take off the skin on chicken after cooking or pork fat/skin, lay it on a non-stick foil covered baking sheet and then season it however you want. Put the oven on 350 and bake for an hour or two until as crispy as you like. I've made bacon jerky in a similar way but on 170 overnight with a pan of water under it.

No worries Sandy. I don't know if everyone has that effect but better safe than sorry. I found out by accident as my mother told me try them for IBS symptoms and boy did I get shocked literally. It was like an airplane continually crashing in my head and my body felt like it was vibrating. The noise was so horrible and I thought I was going crazy. It took a few days after stopping the fish oil tabs for the noise/vibrations to stop. When I told my pdoc about it, that's when I found out about the interaction and side effects it can have. If I had stayed on them I could have done some permanent damage.

Hi everyone! I hope you had a great day. I'm going to weigh tomorrow then start weighing in weekly on Wednesday mornings. The day-to-day is proving to much of a roller coaster ride. I'll call them "Weigh-in Wednesdays" to help me remember the day of week I've picked for tracking purposes. So here goes:

2/1: 169.4
2/2: 170....retaining water from eating too many nuts
2/3: 169.8
2/4: 169.6

arb34 I would be right there with you and your fitbit if my phone did not do it for free.

Today went well for me. Has a LONG day at work. This morning I had a lot of rumbling in my tummy and it’s was not hunger. Spent more time staring at the bathroom wall than I am used to but by afternoon I was right as rain. Want to run tonight but my feet feel a tad bruised and my muscles hurt so a day off is in order.

Oh yeah I should mention that when someone says they like the slimmer shirts they dont mean that on a fat guy! Unless you really like looking at fat rolls.

Oh I forgot. Not only do I have to go out once this weekend for an early Valentines (Sat), we have kids and a busy life, but some other family member want to meet for lunch (Sun). I know one is Bone Fish and it looks like I could order any steak or fish either naked or with lemon butter sauce and I should be fine. The other is Red Robin. I found on this board that chicken alla caprese is the way to go and it sounds interesting. So I think I will be alright and if I go no carb around these meals and run both days I should be able to stay in induction. I hope.
