There is a huge group of JUDDDers on this site. Combining low-carb and JUDDD with IF is my version of bringing out the big guns. lol

princessmommy – I have spent many a minute looking at bags o wings and I found one that is 3 carbs per serving. Foster Farms - Hot'n Spicy Wings. As far as I can tell they are legit. But I only eat then on days I know I am running to give me a bit of a buffer zone in case Ii screwed up. I am so untrusting.

BTW I thought I was just being too frugal but I noticed 2 things last week. 1. Usually I can find something in the managers special to buy like some sort of steak and 2. The price of beef and maybe others seems higher. Am I wrong? I bought some cross cut something or other that was like 2.50 a steak, had a huge bone in it and a lot of fat. I figure it the stuff no one wants but its fatty so how bad can it taste? Ill find out tonight

GyspySixpence without going into weights and possibly switching to a gentler source of workout plan I will say Lemon Grass Oil is good for joint / ligament repair. Make sure you don’t use the wrong techniques, permanent injury’s suck!

MtherGoos I am jealous I want to try Yoga but so far have not carved out any time for it. Lavender is good for skin, rashes, cuts, wounds, also for sleep which I should have done last night. You can add 1 to 3 drops to bath water if it’s pure to get the same effects. You tube is the best source I found because it by people who actually did it. And I know by reading Atkins first book that he never intended what is happening now. He wanted to get as many people healthy and diabetic free as possible. Not sell candy that will only possibly work in OWL. Ohh if you a little stuffy put a drop of peppermint oil in the palm of your hand rub hands together inhale fumes and you will clear right up for your Yoga.

BTW dont take offense if you use Atkins or whatever product. Its just personal belief that a company etc should not push this stuff on a lifestyle diet as much as they should be teaching you about food. Honestly I dont care for processed food low carb or not. I think it is why we have some many problems health wise right now. Our elderly today are not the same as the ones twenty years ago and no where even close to the ones coming up as far as diabetic issues, weight, issues, etc. It wont be long before soilent green is the dish of the day!

Thank you for the info James! I made a reed diffuser yesterday with some peppermint oil too and put it in my bathroom, just as an air freshener. I know there's so many uses for them, and I'm excited to keep learning more. I wish there was some place closer to us that gave a class like the one you attended!

And I just couldn't agree more about the foods and processed foods! I've been reading a lot lately about Alzheimers now being referred to as Diabetes Type 3 as they learn more about it. They're finding such a huge link between the foods that we eat and Alzheimers. That's one of the many reasons that I make sure to get at least 1 full tablespoon of MCT Oil each day. I just think if we stick to real food, without all the frankenfoods, it's so so much better for us.

So most of my size 8 pants are ridiculously baggy. Some fit great when first out of the dryer and then a couple of hours later the butt is all saggy. On my way to the grocery store, I stopped at my favorite thrift store to see if I could find a size 6 pair of jeans. Found a great looking pair (and a new belt, I don't have any that fit anymore) and bought them. Got home, opened the bag. Um. Yeah. They're a 4. A 4 that I can actually get over my rear end and almost meet to zip up. Maybe 5 pounds would do the trick. I won't be taking them back!

jblanken Welcome, you seem to know what your doing so good on you.

So that cut of beef is called a beef shank. I did the calorie calculation on it and it said 800. After I cooked it and tried to eat it I am very skeptical. I would not recommend anyone get this cut it was awful, full of gristle and shrinks into this weird art creation. If you live close you have the other one I bought.

So all in all I am at 1,535 calls 10 carbs for the day if my beef was really that high. I may have 2 fingers of Scotch before bed. I need to have a good nights sleep since its been three days of cant breath sleeping. See ya all in the morning.

Morning all my friends (I love that "smiley")

Hope you all have a great day. Wishing you a non-scale victory today. Go try something on you couldn't fit before. It might just fit!! If not, know that it will very soon.

Morning Sandy and Arb. I guess everyone else is still getting their zzzzz's.

Sandy, I predict tomorrow you will see 159.8.
Arb, sorry to hear you might have got a bug. Lots of "C" and wishing you shake it quickly.

Oh, I get to visit with "George Clooney" today and get all my test results. Hoping for nothing but good news but would be interesting to see if I'm deficient in any minerals which might explain the nightly leg cramps.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning all. James, I hope your baby is better. I should read back I guess, I didn't know but it sounds like you adopted a baby from a mom with drug issues? If so, that is such a wonderful gift to provide an innocent baby. Life will be challenging for all of you but worth every minute of it. My husband does P90X and he didn't buy anything, he just jumps around down in the basement and I can hear him grunting like a lunatic. I did pick him up a yoga block at a discount store that he mentioned, but that was it. To all of you losing and holding, you inspire me every day. I'm stuck at the same weight these last 3 days but think it's that darn lasagna, and I ate a bag of those Atkins peanut candies yesterday, just needed a chocolate fix. Will try to stay less than 10 carbs today, that always moves me. I think I eat waaay too much cheese, that seems to be my go to food when I can't look at another egg. Made a melted cheese thin crepe like thingy in a non stick pan the other night, rolled it up and put salsa on top. It was amazing but probably just too many calories. Made another one yesterday too now that I think of it. No wonder my scale isn't moving. Have a great day everyone.

I'm still here but won't be around much for the rest of the week probably. The cold and the cold medicine are kicking my butt. I'm not eating great but not eating completely horrible either. I'm not weighing because I just don't care at the moment. Hopefully I will be well by March 1st so I can tackle next month's challenge. Everyone is doing great!

HockeyMum – Don’t think I ever spelled it out but basically my wife cannot have babies, have 2 adult children from a previous marriage. Foster to adopt for 7 years of which resulted in multiple failed adoptions because Colorado sucks in this particular area and leans more to rights of genetics in place of what the child would be better in. Ohh and Indian law which I can rant for hours on. Gave up completely and started a private adoption out of Texas which cost about $20,000 to get to the point where we were. Then we got a call from a Colorado county about 100 miles away from us that had two boys that were siblings but never had lived together, parents were crack heads, and losing rights. They wanted the boys together but had no families locally to take them.

After many meetings and them convincing us they were not like my counties social services, meeting the kids, meeting the grandparents, and meeting the crack heads who did not want to give up their kids (talk about a very awkward lunch) we decided to give government one more shot and agreed to go through the process. It did work out. Baby had drugs in uteral, the oldest did not. We have an on going relationship with grandparents etc but none with the mom and dad. I believe both or at least one is in prison for (GASP!) drug related charges. Heroine is a not a monster I would ever tackle. Don’t know why anyone would start.

Ok I have a meeting but there you go.

Well that waist of time is done and I have a few minutes before my next project starts.

I did not have the scotch last night after all but I did jump on the treadmill because it was snowing outside and I hate when snow flakes go up my nose or in my ears. I decided since I had an unscheduled break from running to jog 4 miles. I jogged about 2 of them and started kicking it up a notch every half mile until I was doing a 10 min mile to finish out 4 miles of running and it felt really good. My foot problem did not flare up and I felt sufficiently tired to go to bed. I did pull a muscle however and just too some Ibuprofen to hopefully get the muscle to release. If not I will see my massage girl. I just dont feel like getting naked today. I even put on a tie today!

Anywho, EVERYONE STAY ON TRACK! YOU ONLY HAVE 2 DAYS TO MEET YOUR GOALS!

James

February 18: 152.4 (rest day) TOM
February 19: 151.6 (180 squats/arm weights)
February 20: 150.4!!! (185 squats)
February 21: 149.8!!!! (190 squats/arm weights)
February 22: 149.8 (rest day)
February 23: 149.2 (220 squats/arm weights)
February 24: 148.6 (225 squats)
February 25: 148.4 (230 squats/arm weights)
February 26: 148.8 (rest day)

February goals: Complete the 30 day squat challenge that I was crazy enough to join to with my crazy friend!

Arm weight routine every other day (as tolerated). Damn tennis elbow is still with me.

Weight goal: 147...but to be honest, I will be thrilled to see anything in the 140s. I haven't seen the 140s since early 1998!

Up a little today, not sweating it because I know it's water from muscle repair and a bit too much salt yesterday. My legs are sooooo sore today. I've had a bit of muscle soreness during the squat challenge, but today, OUCH! Glad it's a rest day!!!! Now to get up the energy to clean the house!

Afternoon All:
I guess I screwed up posting the link to the geocaching site
So Monday I made my way over to the gym to practice the new fitness test we need to pass. One of them is basically sprints to 10m with burpees at each 10m point. You have to cover 80m doing that every 10m all within 51"
I did it in 52" & the turkey tells me I looked slow dropping to the floor. I asked him if he remembered me mentioning the fractured wrist????
Anyhow, all that practice did was give me a goal & aggravate my wrist some more. My DS suggested using something called Voltaren ? on it but it's not helping much. Might mean another trip to the DR to see what I screwed up
Was out last night meeting up with the other geocachers for a monthly function & had a diet pepsi with some chicken wings. Who knew you didn't have to order alcohol
Went for a swim yesterday & wrist didn't bother me till I had to put my socks on. Geez.
Hope all of you are well. I'm off to the gym tonight to tackly cardio; the turkey who told me I was slow dropping to the floor also mentioned that my cardio sucked. I did remind him I wasn't a spring chicken anymore

What field are you in? And if its a sprain or ligament damage consider lemon grass oil.

Nothing but good news at the Dr. He gave me the "full monty" and everything came back normal, BP, cholesterol, thyroid, liver.... yay!! Couldn't be healthier if I was 26!! So happy to hear that.

BulldogMom: Hope you're feeling better soon.

Mthergoos: Watcha doing today???
