February 1: 156.8 (squats/arm weights/crunches)
February 2: 158.4 (crunches)
February 3: 158.4 (squats/arm weights/crunches)
February 4: 157 (squats/crunches)
February 5: 157 (squats/crunches/arm weights-just deltoids and triceps...elbow is killing to much for bicep work, 90 minutes of shoveling snow)
February 6: 156.2 (finally a day of rest...not really, I need to shovel some more)
February 7: 156.2 (100!!! squats, arm weights, push ups, a lame plank)
February 8: 155.8 (105 squats, about 10 pushups, another lame plank)
February 9: 155.6 (110 squats, arm weights-focused on triceps)
February 10: 156.2 Sigh (Today is a rest day! No squats for me! Woot!)
February 11: 155.4 (130 squats/arm weights)
February 12: 154.4 (135 squats)
February 13: No w/i (140 squats/arm weights/push-ups)
February 14: 156 (rest day, but shoveled heavy snow for an hour) TOM
February 15: 154.4 (150 squats/arm weights) TOM
February 16: 154.2 (155 squats) TOM
February 17: 153.2 (160 squats/arm weights) TOM
February 18: 152.4 (rest day) TOM
February 19: 151.6 (180 squats/arm weights)
February 20: 150.4!!! (185 squats)
February 21: 149.8!!!! (190 squats/arm weights)

February goals: Complete the 30 day squat challenge that I was crazy enough to join to with my crazy friend!

Figure out a planking/push-ups routine for my ab work.
Arm weight routine every other day (as tolerated). Damn tennis elbow is still with me.

Weight goal: 147...but to be honest, I will be thrilled to see anything in the 140s. I haven't seen the 140s since early 1998!

HAPPY DANCE!!!! A weight I haven't seen since spring 1998. I let out a long silent "Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!" and did the flapping hands/arms thing that beauty contestant winners make when they want to cry but don't want to wreck their make up! That makes 25 pounds gone since my Thanksgiving restart. 45 pounds from my highest. 14.8 pounds to goal. A goal that finally seems not impossible, but that I could really do it. DH weighed in at 238.8, so he's 28 pounds down and thrilled to be well into the 230s!

Good drop, Shelly! Maybe try finding your daughter some men's size 9 soccer cleats? Or eBay?

Great job making your February goal, Luvleliz!!! And you still have a week left of February!

Hello everyone and congrats Gypsy (just realized your name is spelled Gyspy?)

I still haven't weighed! Tonight I have a gig and I may weigh tomorrow morning!
I went to trade joe's yesterday and got some interesting thigns, including pork belly. Let's see what else- some very spicy egg white egg salad, plain roasted turkey, uncured pastrami and prosciutto. Yep, I pampered myself a little! everything is deelish, too! I'm keeping it all at work to snack on today and over the weekend.

Watching the US-Canadian hockey game - it's very exciting!

I typo-ed Gypsy when I first joined the boards. I didn't notice the mistake until I'd been here for a few days. And the powers that be wouldn't let me change it. So Gyspy it is. :/ I also answer to "Hey you" and Michelle!

Good Morning Everyone! Well I guess it's not morning any more, even here, but it's the first chance I've had to post. I haven't weighed in the last 2 weeks because the scale was being very stubborn and making me nuts, but I finally weighed today.... down 5 pounds to 170.4!!!! So excited. I'm only 20 pounds from goal! ME! The one that weighed 300 pounds a year ago and wore a size 3X is only 20 pounds from goal. So crazy to think about that!

The only things I've changed in the last 2 weeks is that I increased my fats, lowered my protein some, and started walking for 30 minutes each night. My fasting blood ketones this morning were 4.6! Yikes! LOL I'm only 4 pounds from no longer being obese!

Bonny, sometimes shaking things up is just what you need, so I would say to give it a try if you'd like. But I don't think your diet is too high in fat at all. I only eat the fattiest cuts of meat I can find.... and I haven't had veggies in almost a year. But it can't hurt to try and see how the leaner cuts work for you, but I would only give it a week or two and see how you do.

Gypsy, I'm so excited for you!! HAPPY DANCE!

Shelly, YAY! Looks like you've found your groove and are happily moving down!

DQ, I've never been to a Trader Joes, we don't have one here, but my daughter promised to take me to one when we go to Kansas City next month. Can't wait! I'm planning to stock up on anything that we might want to try.

James, hope the baby gets to feeling better!

Hope everyone is ready for an awesome and on plan weekend!

I forgot to mention that this morning I had to go down another notch to keep the jeans I wear on "jean Friday" on. A little tight but the previous notch was just a little too loose. Ill have to see if my designer 36's fit when I get home. I suspect I am still a week or two away from those.

My nanny who happens to be a retired nurse is on baby watch and she said for us not to run to the doctor just yet. We are going to wait for this afternoon to decide. I suspect it will clear up but I imagine we are days away from seeing a kid who is not dripping nose juice everywhere. BTW we are not rich. She is a client that trades this service for hair services at out salon.

ALSO I finally figured out what I am going to do with my 400 bucks I won during the Superbowl. I am going to take it and my old XBox 360 and turn it all in for the brand new shiny XBox One that costs too much to just go out and buy. (wait did I just hear every woman on this board groan in unison?) I may even come out ahead and I will put the rest of the cash down on whichever phone I decide to get when my contract is up very soon. Either the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 or The Samsung Galaxy S5. Did I mention I like expensive toys?

Also going to look at some running belts as a better way to carry large phones on a run. The clip thing is tearing my skin up and sometimes the phone falls off.

LOL. I am still not a believer in exercise being good for scale weight loss. I think everything just finally came together. I'm still down just 6.2 pounds for the month which is about my average. I've been averaging around 7 pounds a month.

Congrats Mother Goose and Gyspy. I just pictured you fanning your eyes with your hands. I know that feeling when you see a number you haven't seen in years -- it's amazing, no matter how little or how much we are trying to lose. I hope that baby gets better, there's nothing worse than a miserable child who doesn't understand why they feel so bad...
I was very low on carbs again yesterday, although I did have 2 glasses of wine, okay 3, at the hockey game last night. (My son scored, I had to celebrate , I was under 15 carbs and down another pound this morning, although that might have been dehydration from all the alcohol! Thanks for all the advice on avoiding the lasagna tomorrow. I don't know the woman very well, her husband is my husband's friend, so I think it'll be the pushing stuff around the plate option. I'm taking some cheese and crackers and sliced salami for hors d'oeuvres, so I'll try to eat those, except the crackers.... So if I can finish out February under 130 I'll be happy. I have a small build, and when I went to the company where you count points years ago, they said I should be 118. I eventually got there, but was always hungry. This WOE is just so much better!

HockeyMum, you just lost some street cred with me. You were elevated hight because you actually like a sport, put your kid in the best sport, and actually go to games BUT! You cant watch a manly kickin, hittin blood splillin sport while sipping a nice Chardonnay from the rolling hills of California where you contemplate the delicate fruits and such that were used to produce this light delicate drink! You need to think like a crazed man, maybe a pirate or something. I am thinking Rum or Devil Cut! Something that will put hair on your chest! Oh look I can finally leave and go home now. TTFN

Funny Baddabing.... yes, I am the odd one sipping Chardonnay at hockey games! I can't be the only one, seeing as they do actually sell it at most of the OHL rinks. Maybe I can regain some cred with you by telling you that my husband coached for years, our dog's name was Coach, my daughter just committed to a Division 1 school for Hockey (that's her on the right in front of her future school), and I have spent years driving to every arena within a 10 hour radius of Toronto. My husband hated the travel with our kids, or had to stay home to coach the team he ran (not our kids So I think I've earned my wine. Hubby more than made up for my sipping sissy drinks last week end in Michigan, it was Ice Blast Weekend and the $2.50 beers were calling his name. He's usually a Rye drinker - Whisky I think you Amurricans call it

Also had anyone had a reaction from sugar alcohols? I try not to eat these, but need a treat on my LC days. I find if I eat candy with sugar alcohols I have the same reaction as if I eat a high carb sugary food. Heart flutters and/or palpitations. I have done some research about this and I guess this is pretty common, but haven't known it to be so.

Sandy and Arb: are you eating enough? Strange thing about this Atkins. If you lower the calories as well as the carbs, it seems to stall or you have a gain. I tried that a few weeks ago, I was hungry and my scale wasn't moving. I gained a pound for no reason last week but it's gone. Sad I lost a week but again, when you look at the last month or several it's usually pretty good. I wish I was blessed with 3 lbs a week but it's not gonna happen so.

Curious to see what my scale says to me tomorrow or Sunday.
Supper was the Ultimate Feast at Red Lobster but no potato, no cheddar buns, no drink so hopefully things won't be too bad. Lots of sodium though.

Jblanken....sounds like you are doing great with your weight loss....way to go....I have no idea about those sugar alcohols, the only thing I have read is that they can make you keep running to the loo, anyway you are doing really well....

BonnyJean....yes I think I am eating a fair amount, 4 pieces of bacon and 2 eggs for breakfast/lunch as I can't eat first thing so that's around 12 or 12.30 ish, dinner at 5ish tonight was shepherds pie, made with lamb mince, a few spices and topped with cauly mash and topped with cheese but not to much as it makes me feel yuk if there's to much I opted for no veg with my dinner again as trying to keep the carbs low, although the cauly was on the lamb lol, anyway I am so stuffed lol....I would eat more if I could lol, but this way of eating totally fills me up.
You are the lucky one...Red Lobster, oh my gosh if only they had one of those over here, my fav place in the world....yum yum.

Nothing like Red Lobster, I got used to the best, the last one I tried over on the mainland we had to wait over an hour and a half for our food, I think the chef had walked out lol, it was not fun....I haven't really tried anywhere else since then, I have this worry of people not cooking shellfish properly so I have to know its really good to go there, and I haven't heard any brilliant reviews of anything on our island....still next year we are coming back to Canada for three weeks so I will go have my lobster then, oh lobster with garlic butter, what lovely memories lol.

Well, I hope you get your lobster fix next time you're over here. LOL.
Why don't you just grab some tails at the store and do one or two up yourself?
I tried making lobster and crab at home and I guess my water is different cause it sure didn't taste like restaurant food!!! Yuck!!
You live on an island?? Cool??
So where and when are you coming to Canada? Be careful not to trip over all the GOLD medals. (just bugging the Olympic followers, as I'm not one)

We were back in Canada last year for my sons wedding and a few days before the wedding they had a lobster fest and invited all the family, but I had a real problem with them throwing them in the water live....daft I know but it really bothered me, and then one day after the wedding when we were just chilling at their house they asked if me and hubby could pick up some lobsters which we did...only silly me decided to name them...well then later my lovely son threw my new pets into the pot....it really bothered me.....when I got back to the uk I was doing some research into lobsters...I have to research everything and I found out that in Italy it is against the law to do this to lobsters, so now I love the Italians...ok well I probably shouldn't have written this as everyone will think I am totally ridiculous, I wouldn't even tell my son I didn't like them thrown into a pot lol, he would have thought I was mad....I guess its not good to name them lol......but then after saying all of that lobster is my fav food in the world.
I have never seen lobster tails in our supermarkets, weird isn't it....as they were in my local zehrs supermarket in Ontario....next time I am over on the mainland I will have a look as you just never know...
Oh those gold medals lol.....my son skyped us tonight and had the hockey on pause but I could tell he couldn't wait to get back into it lol....yhea Canada whoop whoop lol.

HockeyMum, OK I will give you back your cred if and only if your son signs on with the Colorado Avalanche, ya know the greatest team ever bar none. AND I will even buy you this sissy wine when you come to a home game if they sell it at the Pepsi Center thought I don’t believe they do. Or if they do the transaction occurs behind the bathrooms.

jblanken sugar alcohols can and usually do in candy form cause me a minimum rumbly guts and at most projectile diarrhea!

Bonny-Jean I am with you on the weigh in, except mine will be Monday morning! I can care less about most breads, I see then as a way to hold the crap I actually want to eat together with the exception of those cheddar buns. If they brought them to my table I would be pretty miserable.

Sandy1 can you send me some of that Shepards Pie. I think I would like it but I don’t want to make it!

I personally feel Lobster belongs in a bisque Crab belongs on the plate. Nothing better than crab……. And that’s low carb……. I think I figured out where I am going for the next date night! Here we have red lobster and Joes Crab Shack I thought I heard Red Lobster was closing. They are owned by the same corporation that runs my fave steak house Saltgrass Steakhouse. You cant get a better ribeye anywhere.
Waiting on the wife to get home so I can go and get my new toy!
