Thanks for encouraging me to stay here everyone, and glad to be one of two Ontario folks now. I kept my carbs to less than 10 yesterday in the tracker and was down 2 pounds this morning, which is great. So I'll do that again today. I just get sick of eggs and meat so I try to find something else to eat, and I love vegetables. I bought my zoodler on ebay for $30 or so including shipping (had it shipped to the US where my 17 year old lives for hockey). My husband loves the zucchini done in an alfredo sauce, just parmesan and hwc and some olive oil for frying the noodles first. And he usually HATES vegetables.

Have a weekend of hockey coming up, -- my son's team is in town for a road trip -- Peterborough tonight, Owen Sound Saturday (and hubby's birthday), and Guelph on Sunday, so have to plan my meals. throw some atkins bars in my purse for emergencies....
Staying with friends on Saturday night and she's a terrific cook. Hubby asked for her famous lasagna for dinner. I have to figure out how to eat just the meat out of it without anyone noticing or insulting her. Hopefully she'll have a great salad and I can say I'm stuffed from that.
Anyway, so excited for those of you who continue to lose, and sending hugs to those of you persevering through blips and bumps.

Sandy, at the very top of the page, there's a link that says "Tools", and if you click that it takes you to a list of trackers, both on the computer or for your phone or tablet.

You have me so confused about this tracker thing. I dont understand why anyone would care if you mentioned which one you use. I spent the better part of a week trying to decide which app I would use for the same purpose and finally found one I like.

As for the lasagna thing you could take a page out of my 5 year olds book who still does not realize his parents raised just shy of 20 kids under the age of 4 before we adopted him so we see EVERYTHING! But you hosts may not have that kind of experience.

Just seperate your food on the plate. Woman seem to have a knack at pushing food around a plate pretending they are eating anyway. Once you have the noodles in a pile you cane do one of two things.

1. scoop them in your mouth and then pretend your going to wipe your mouth with a napkin but really spit out noodles into napkin or....
2. scoop noodles in your mouth and them proceed to go to the restroom in one or many trips where you later place food in toilet and flush.

or flat out lie and say you have Celiac disease.

James, many of the trackers are on sites that sell products, that's why you can't mention them. Netrition sponsors this page, so it's not really fair to promote sites that their competitors may be selling on. I believe that's why we can't mention the actual names of the trackers, but there are many good ones listed on the Tools page.

HockeyMom, honestly, rather than stress about it, or take yourself off plan, I would just talk to your friend before you go. Let her know how much you would love to have her amazing lasagna, but that you're on a rather strict eating plan and won't be able to partake. Let her know that you can bring your own food, or just have the salad. The time spent visiting and enjoying her company is the important part, but you don't have to go off plan to do that unless you really want to.

Sandy, I'm glad you're enjoying them! Yeah, it's amazing how fast the carbs even just in veggies can add up!

OK, now I understand. Just as a side note the app I use is kinda funny because you can tweak your food goals but it will not let you drop your carbs even close to 20 but all along the edges of the web sight is Atkins ad's

If I get rich and smart I will personally build an app etc for this web sight that is better than all the rest. But as my wife has been saying. She has been waiting for me to get smart for a long time.

Heeeeyyyyyyy everyone......Trying to catch up on all the posts I have missed since last week. I am staying on plan, currently out of town for work in snowy Iowa...hoping to get back home tomorrow and back to a regular routine. I have been eating out since Monday and I am SICK of it. I hate not knowing what people put in the food I am eating!

I weighed before I left on Monday and will weigh again on Saturday morning. I am losing more inches than weight. I am learning to accept it right now and have decided to do at least 45 minutes of cardio 3 days a week.

I also got measured last Sunday after 3 weeks. He are my stats. I am trying to ensure that I get measured in the same are every time to ensure consistency. So far, I am pleased.

Just popping in to say hi. Hope everyone is well! Had a good day on plan. Had a yummy pork carnitas salad from Chipotle for lunch. Love their guacamole!! Planning for bunless cheeseburger for dinner. Ready for the weekend as it's been a hectic week at work.

Hope everyone has a great night!

I have a strange feeling that they're fixing my car due to such low mileage as they said last year but my car shows miles not kilometers so the odometer says 55K miles but in Cda it's like 85K in kilometers. It's an American car that came from Arizona!! Whatever?? Nobody asked??

Funny story: I said old cause one day I'm sitting in my car, beats just banging on my stereo (some real bassy rap) have my face turned away and 2 young guys are walking across the lot, hear the music and when I turn my face towards them it's all they can do not burst out laughing. I just sat there and LMAO cause I knew EXACTLY what they were thinking.

Congratz luvleliz

Today I have had hunger pains which is not normal. I know I am in Ketosis because I can taste it but it still sucked! The grazing I observed at worked continued on through today.

So I am keeping track of my calories and I guess I always knew wings were high calories but I dont think I knew how much. For dinner I was wanting about 600 to get me in the 1200-1500 zone for the day. and the bag of wings which I would normally just eat alone was way above that. This time I did 12 wings, probably would have been fine with 10.

One time I went to Hooters and did the unlimited wings. I got thought 49 wings. As hard as I tried I could not choke down that 50th one. That must have been an insane amount of calories.

Anywho, 1,500 cals, 8 carbs. No exercise, Yesterday was a doozie and I meed my muscles to recover.

Dont really have a lunch for tomorrow so I am going to have to get creative. Maybe some beef jerky?

Hi all,

Reread Atkin's 72 a bit, not like I don't know what I should eat or not. Just not eating right these days. Yesterday was ok but I had natural peanut butter. Even if it's all natural I still have to take that out of my menu. So it's gone as well as the wine So sad about that, but need to do it right. I did notice that 72 doesn't allow you to have cream cheese. I was planning on making deep dish pizza this Friday and next for dinner so I hope that's my only deviation from plan. Still working on keeping things below 20 carbs. I am cooking up a few chicken breast to snack on if I need. I get the munchies and have been grabbing bad foods, but no more. Looking forward to Spring and being thinner but can't get there until I change. Still have time.

Thanks all for being here

Goal - to be less than I started LOL....

Workout = 1 hr shoveling snow

Weight:
Feb 1 - 169 (tom)
Feb 2 - 169 (tom)
Feb 3 - 171.5 (tom)

Feb 14 - 168
Feb 15 - 168

Thanks Sandy.
KUTGW Pam.

I have been wondering if I should consider changing my choices of meat? I know it's supposed to be okay to choose fatty cuts but I'm wondering if leaner choices might be better.... if nothing else it might shake things up as I've basically been eating the exact same foods for 5 mons now.

My breakfast / lunch combo is usually 4-5 eggs w/mayo or once a week I have salmon w/mayo. I regularly eat 8 split wings or 8 oz pork steak or 4 ribs for dinner. I chose those as they are the highest fat content. I think March will just be lean cuts of pork and chicken. Will get back into the beef when the bbq thaws out.

So what do you think?? Worth a try??

Bonny you're killing me with the no veggies.

I think if the meat is not Organic the extra fat might contain hormones and other bad things you shouldn't be eating. I go both way honestly because of the cost of thing, but I try. Maybe add a few asparagus with butter to dinner, or creamed spinach (just a bit) for a side. All have extra added fats. Hubby just picked up a bunch of asparagus yesterday (on sale, gotto love spring) so we will be having them with pork chops for tomorrow night dinner

Today for lunch:
2 thin chicken breast diced over 1 cup lettuce, 1/2 oz extra sharp cheddar, homemade balsamic vinaigrette. Yummo.......

I am still sticking to the 2 cups of lettuce or veggies per Atkins 72'. So with the one cup for lunch I can add a few veggies to my deep dish pizza for tonight.

Ok now GO TEAM USA HOCKEY:jumpjoy :

Good Morning! I don't think I could live without the veggies! EEK

This morning I had scrambled eggs with sausage (sauteed in butter).
Lunch is shephards pie made with feaux-tatoes, bacon, turkey (ground), onion, cream of celery soup, and green beans, yum!
Dinner, prob ordering out bc it's Friday, so I like to get the Buffalo wings and blue cheese. YUUUUMMMMM

Happy FRIED-DAY!

Morning, man that wind is out of control. I was skipping all over the highway on my way in. I stopped by the store for some beef jerky but had some trouble finding the one that would not have too many carbs. I ended up finging one made with Cholula hot sauce that was only 3 carbs per serving 9 for the who package so I plan on snaking on that while I work my 6.5 hours for the day. If anything I will probably end up increasing my liquids just to put out the fire.

Just got a call from the wife. The baby went from pink eye to croop to now having tiny red dots all over him. This kid has been sick for weeks. He, and we are miserable.
