Arb34 lol so that's where my pound went lol, I will tell my hubby that one it will make him laugh...that's a busy house you have I now really envy you lol.

Shelley....I am so sorry you are going through a bit of a down time lately, have you ever thought of taking omega 3 fish oil.....I know it sounds daft that something like that can help you, only I went through something similar a few years ago and it was my son that had done research on it so I went and brought some not thinking for a minute they would work, but they really did and I noticed the difference really quickly....now I have been taking them for about 4 or five years, and on the weeks I don't take them my hubby notices straight away which also proves to me that they work....anyway if you get any time just research omega 3 and depression to see what comes up, there has now been studies done etc, anyway it was just a thought, take care and be good to yourself x

Sandy: I wasn't here a month and the old bachelor came over and invited me for a drink some evening. Yeah, like that's gonna happen! Eeewww.

ARB: No, don't think I'll trade ya. I'm a light sleeper with an incredible sense of hearing so I'd be getting no sleep in your house!!! Oh my, that's a lot of round the clock noises. No, that wouldn't fly with me but you know you have life and family in your house and sometimes that's a good thing albeit the noise. LOL.

When you write a post, you will see "go advanced" at the bottom, click on that. Then you should above the box you write in, "sizes", over to the right is the paper clip. If you are responding to a post and don't see the option for "go advanced" at the bottom of the screen, then you are already there and the paperclip should still be in the same spot, to the right of the word "sizes". It really does make adding pictures easy going this route.

A little late getting started for February, but better late than never they say.

Returning to this board from a couple years ago. I lost 80 pounds doing Atkins and have let 40 come back. I always feel better when I eat this way so I think emotional eating is my problem. I comfort myself with food, its a bad habbit that makes things worse not better. Trying to refocus.

I've been on plan for about a week. My test strips are dark purple.

FEBRUARY
2/9/14 - 206.6
2/10/14. - 206.6
2/11/14. - 205.6
2/12/14. - 203.6
2/13/14. - 203.0
2/14/14. - 203.0
2/15/14. - 203.0

February 3: 158.4 (squats/arm weights/crunches)
February 4: 157 (squats/crunches)
February 5: 157 (squats/crunches/arm weights-just deltoids and triceps...elbow is killing to much for bicep work, 90 minutes of shoveling snow)
February 6: 156.2 (finally a day of rest...not really, I need to shovel some more)
February 7: 156.2 (100!!! squats, arm weights, push ups, a lame plank)
February 8: 155.8 (105 squats, about 10 pushups, another lame plank)
February 9: 155.6 (110 squats, arm weights-focused on triceps)
February 10: 156.2 Sigh (Today is a rest day! No squats for me! Woot!)
February 11: 155.4 (130 squats/arm weights)
February 12: 154.4 (135 squats)
February 13: No w/i (140 squats/arm weights/push-ups)
February 14: 156 (rest day, but shoveled heavy snow for an hour) TOM
February 15: 154.4 (150 squats/arm weights) TOM

February goals: Complete the 30 day squat challenge that I was crazy enough to join to with my crazy friend!

Figure out a planking/push-ups routine for my ab work.
Arm weight routine every other day (as tolerated). Damn tennis elbow is still with me.

Weight goal: 147...but to be honest, I will be thrilled to see anything in the 140s. I haven't seen the 140s since early 1998!

Got the call just before 4am that MIL passed away. I am happy that she is finally at peace, but I feel horrible for everyone. She wanted no calling hours and no funeral. We will scatter her ashes in her beloved lake in the spring.

Welcome, StrgzrLily! Anyone is welcome to join the monthly challenges at anytime during the month. People begin when they're ready and that doesn't have to mean the first of the month! I look forward to hearing about your journey. I think most of us are emotional eaters when you think about it. We're born, we cry, we're fed and it not only feeds us, but comforts us. I comforted myself up to almost 200 pounds at my highest!

Hang in there, Shelly!

The dog pictures and stories are cracking me up. Pets are hilarious.

Ok that dog is so cute. Kaiser my Doberman does not want anything to do with water. Mary my pointer loves it, all kinds. I have had to push the Doberman out the door in pouring rain before. What a baby he is.

Mthergoos, I love that tidbit about your significant other. You have to respect a guy that loves animals....even if he lets him on the table. LOL

Bonny-Jean, I'm a stress eater too. I think its an addiction that will always be there. We just got to do the best we can and realize how easy it will be for us to slip. I seriously believe that 20 yrs from now, I'll still be posting on one of the challenge threads. Your neighbor sounds fun. I'd be spying just for the laughs.

Sandy, nice drop! I love the sound of wind and rain. The stronger and harder the better. The sounds of crickets and frogs on a summer night unnerve me. I know I'm strange.

arb, The bounces are normal and you know that little extra weight will go away again.

Man those winds last night! Had to put in ear plugs to stay asleep. Well I have a bust day today. I have a pile of chores of which some require me to drag the boys with me alone. Hopefully they can contain themselves. Found a new puppy app for the baby if it goes south. He is really into puppy and kitty things right now.

Shelly, Do you have PCOS? A lot of what you are experiencing are some of the symptoms.

Sandy, I'm with you! I love coming here to see what the new day has brought everyone. I love hearing about everyone's lives, challenges, success, etc. We've been stuck indoors a lot this winter so this group has helped the time pass. But I'm ready for spring!

Welcome StrgzrLily! Nice drops!

Welcome jblanken!

pcaltman, A little wine should be okay. I know you can do whatever you set your mind too.

My oldest had her snow day make-up today, all day long. But she was excited to go because the teachers were going to make it a fun day. Which leaves me wondering what the point in going today was? We're paying a lot for gymnastics lessons and she'll miss a month's worth of classes. But my youngest went and we stopped at Burger King. I ate a bunless whopper. I didn't realize how messy it would be. I'm wearing condiments all over the front of my shirt. LOL

I'm not sure how just having one ovary would impact PCOS. Like if it would diminish the symptoms or not. If your thyroid is checking out okay, maybe its your other hormones that need to be checked. Your symptoms could be PCOS acting up, but could be so many other things too. I have to find a doctor that I can convince to keep me on metformin even though I'm not a diabetic and I'm not trying to get pregnant.

Sandy that's what hubby brought home for me for Valentine's day a Kiss and a chocolate bar. We had a piece each last night and 3 strawberries. It was so nice I will only have a piece every so often but it really works perfect for a treat.

Shelly I am like that everyday

Baddabing it's very windy where we are too. We live right at the base of a mountain and wow. I really thought the siding was coming off the house. Up all night too worried. Plus the dogs had to go out and my princess was sick. I figured I might sleep tonight. Ok maybe

Oh my that sounds amazing...dark chocolate and strawberries....that is going to be the first treat I have as soon as this feb challenge is done and before we go into the march one, so on the last day of feb a nice treat of chocolate and strawberries....tonight hubby brought chips, so I racked my brains for something I could have and came up with pork scratchings, they are different to the one's you buy in Canada, for some reason the one's in Canada are like puffed air, really strange..... over here they are proper kind of crispy skin and quite fatty, not sure how to explain it lol....not as nice as chips though...I can't wait to get into that chocolate though, and the bite of strawberry will just take the bitterness off.

I only have like 3 pictures of myself in the last 10 years so although this one is pretty gross, it's the closest I have to a "before" pic. It's my cousin and I wearing our gardening hats. We went out in public a couple of times and forgot we had them on but everybody had a good laugh. Maybe I'll show you the same pic in May when she's down from Vancouver again. Thank the Lord and this WOE that my face doesn't look much like that anymore.

It's pretty scary, so be forewarned!!

About a year and a half ago I spent my Saturdays hiking or doing the Incline which is a mile long staircase straight up the mountain. Maybe catch a movie, ride my motorcycle just whatever. Cut to today....

Scrambling to get to the tailor to pick up my suite jacket by 12 then planning to get to the grocery store because I am out of everything. My five year old informs me that my 2 year old has thrown up. I figure take off his sweater spritz some smell good on him and we will be good to go. I pull up to the tailor and now can look at him and see that there was not a square inch of him not touched by bile. So now I am calling the tailor to do our business in her parking lot then going straight home. By the time the naps are done dinner etc the days shot. Definitely a different life.

His car seat is now in the trash because i am not going to detox it. I want to buy a bigger one anyway so I guess now I have to.

Switching to daily weight ins for a bit just cause I am curious how long tomorrows gala will take me to recover from. Then in the future I will know exactly what kind of damage to expect if I choose to do this again.

Bonny, you are beautiful even in your before picture! I have tried that milk. It really doesn't have much flavor at all to me, so I usually added a dropper of vanilla flavored stevia to it.

Baddabing, sounds like you had a really full day! You should definitely be ready for a break tomorrow!

Happy Sunday everyone....well I am paying the price for two Bacardi and diet cokes, and 2 small bags of pork scratching, and a stir fry with soy sauce, well that's what I think has done it, I think it might be the salt.
Bonny Jean I loved the picture of you, its lovely to be able to put a face to your name....you are beautiful.

Hello! and thanks bulldogmom Sandy1 - so glad I found this site. This is truly the best option for me. I've done alot of reading to find out the options available. I just wish I had done this years ago. I've never felt so good and also have mental clarity(if that makes any sense). I have been on the carb/sugar yo-yo for too many years. I have lost 85 lbs since 2006 and now want
to go the rest of the way to goal!

Good Morning... Welcome to all the new folks....you have found a place with some Great and Helpful people here!!!!! Well it looks like I will have to hit the Greenway today and take a long...looonnnngggg walk!!! And I haven't been logging my food each day so probably haven't been as careful as I would have been if I had. Sure miss having a little spontaneity in life I bet this is also due to the wine we enjoyed while snowed in the other day
