Well just when I thought the cold bug had bypassed us like the plaque, I managed to get hit. Mostly a runny nose but I'm NOT impressed! Have been dosing with extra vitamin D.
Still planning on hitting the pool in the morning. Wrist is still screwy; my physio is going to think I'm accident prone
All I can say about braces is thank God the work insurance picked up some of the tab; both boys have/had them.

I have No clue what we'll do about the Braces. One Good thing is that she doesn't Have to them right away. She "needs" them But they can always wait a yr or so if we have to. With only 1 income right now there's No way we can swing it. I still haven't heard anything out of either job app I put in. I've talked to the store owners a few times so I guess if they do hire anyone maybe they'll keep me in mind. I'm Praying when we get our tax refund we'll be able to get my truck fixed so i'll have a reliable vehicle to drive.

I know Shell. Life can be a money bleed. My son didn't get his till he was 25. Turns out you can't even buy insurance for braces for anyone over 17 here in Canada. I tried several private insurers and it was the same story everywhere, so we were on our own. Would your ortho consider a payment plan?? You also might find another with a better rate, completely certified, of course.

So I have made it through the day of just green tea with coconut oil, water, and my morning vitamins!

I was never actually hungry. I just made myself cups of tea all through out the day. Very curious to see what the scale has to say in the morning!

Epilogue to my previous post: I never got particularly hungry, but now I am totally nauseated and worried that I'm going to toss my cookies. Not actual cookies...oh y'all know what I mean!

Maybe a bowl of chicken broth?

I think it was that last cup of fatty tea. Sometimes, if I have too much green tea, it can upset my stomach a bit. I am still a little queasy, but a lot better than I was 90 minutes ago.

I am not sure there will be a Day 2 of this experiment or not!

Good Morning everyone on this lovely Tuesday.
It seems my fat loves me so much it doesn't want to go, it has been so motivating though to see you all stick at it when the scales don't move, I am just thankful I am on this thread.
But I still have lost just over four pounds in 11 days, so even if I went back to what I was eating last year which was fruits and salads I never lost more than 2lb a week anyway, at least I am eating totally lovely food right now.

Gypsy hope you are feeling a bit better today...I know those scales will move for you.

Morning All:

Still having anxiety whilst grooming myself for my physical with Dr. George Clooney tomorrow morning. I wish I was exaggerating but I'm not. Oh well, at least it won't take very long!!

Not sure if I was due for a little loss or it was due to removing several things from my daily intake?? I guess the next week will decide that. Sure missed my coffee after work and green tea just ain't the same. Clear water all evening with no MIO. Oh well, as long as it works, that's what I'll do. One pound in 11 days is nothing to celebrate but I'm glad it's moving.

Sandy: 4 lbs in 11 days is awesome!
Gypsy: Hope you feel better today.

Baddabing Health Care wise we Canadian's all get the same coverage but that doesn't cover dental. Most employers have a group plan for their employee's but you can also buy private insurance (like Blue Cross) if your employer benefits arn't sufficient.
I think that’s what you’re asking about!
Paleoguy Well done still getting to the pool.. This cold has kicked my butt and I just got back onto a machine yesterday (took it slow) after taking 4 days off.

KWAY be really careful....don't let this go on for too long, maybe try taking something a little stronger? I got myself in big trouble back in November due to this and I never want to go through that again!!!

Cudabear - That was exactly what I was asking.

I feel kinda ehhh today. Maybe its not seeing the sun in a few days, maybe its that fact that it is only Tuesday, I dont know. Hopefully the funk will clear up soon.

CUDABEAR & BADDABING

What I was telling princessmommy is that our gov't medi-care and even our private health care companies DO NOT offer any kind of insurance for braces for anyone over 17. That's all I was saying. I don't know about Alberta, but Manitoba Health Services also do not cover prescriptions, ambulance, semi-private rooms, etc., etc.

Still trucking along. Saw a glimpse of 226.5 at home this morning. Hoping just to get past the 225 hump soon! at least this month. lol. Small goals so that I don't get discouraged.

Everyone seems to be doing good. Stay on track and share recipes and menus if it helps. Sometimes I write down what I have and i'm like, no wonder I didn't lose. Anyways, so far i'm just not as hungry as I used to be. Had to force myself to eat dinner late last night. But if that's the case, i'm just not going to eat next time. I'll eat when i'm hungry right? I'm so used to that mind set of have to eat 5x a day. um, no you don't.

B: coffee with hwc
L: planned green salad either with chicken in it or a hamburger patty
D: don't have one planned yet. probably more salad or maybe chicken w/mayo and pickle.

Good Morning everyone! Well still no losses for me. I've been bouncing up and down between 177-175 for 2 1/2 weeks now. I get to 175 and then bounce back up to 177. I really believe it's just a plateau for me, because I haven't been under this weight in over 10 years. You all know how I feel about exercise! LOL I believe it's great for your overall health, but not necessarily beneficially to scale losses. My plan has always been to start exercising when I got to goal, but since my scale isn't really moving anyway, I figured I might as well get started. The scale is going to do what it's going to do. I'm totally faithful to my eating plan, no cheats, so there's really nothing more I can do to make it move. I might as well ignore it for a while and start my exercise. So yesterday I put on my new running shoes, my good running bra (girls are still a DD, even after 125 pounds lost!), and started my workout routine! It's not much, just 30 minutes on the treadmill, walking at 3.0 for 5 minutes, and jogging at a 4.0 for one minute. JOGGING! ME! A year ago, walking across the WalMart parking lot left me out of breath. When I would climb a flight of stairs, I'd have to do that little fake cough thing when I got to the top to try and hide the fact that I was totally out of breath. So, let the scale do what it wants, I'm going to go ahead and start exercising!

Bonny, that's an awesome drop! Apparently your changes are working!!

Where's Missy? Did you get a new battery for your scale?

Laura, we miss you!!!

DQ, Hope you're having fun in Florida!

Kway, When nothing else works, I'll drink a tea called Smooth Move and it will ALWAYS get things moving. If it goes on too long, you might try that to get things started, and then the magnesium every day really should help to keep you regular after that.

Congratulations to all our losers!!! And for hanging in there to everyone that the scale isn't being so kind too! It's so great that we all hang in there together!

Slow and steady

Hang in there everyone!
Sometimes it just takes longer for the weight to fall off.
It is so frustrating, since we all try so hard and then want to see results on the scale.
I am finally seeing some progress on the scale & am motivated to reach my 140 goal in March.
I do really hope it warms up soon, so that I may begin my morning jogs again. This winter & sub zero temps have halted my workouts & stalled my weigh loss. I find that slow jogging takes off the weight the best. I gain too much muscle when I do workout DVDs and the scale goes up! I will not do any workout DVDs or weight training until I reach my 140 goal. For now I will just power walk or jog slowly in the mornings.

Congrats on the exercising!! I have just started back at it again recently and notice some pretty decent losses on the days I have exercised.. Hope you get the same results!

Twisted Tuesday for sure,

I am in full ketosis, nice dark pink stick and dragon breath~ following the plan to the letter, but this mornings weigh in showed a +.6 gain.

Pfffttttt..... I think that means that I am just going to enjoy a really nice whoosh in the next few days.....

That will be my mantra til it happens..... that and I'll probably dial back a little on portions.

Off for my power walk, have a great day!
