My last

So my food comes tomorrow (instead of today) and all this week I've been enjoying "my lasts". Yesterday was my last MickeyDs, tonight will be my last delivered pizza with sugary soda, and tomorrow I'll have my last Mac'N'Cheese.

I'm hoping very hard this will be my last of these things forever. I know how unhealthy these are and even if I was at my target weight, they would still be poison to my body.

So what was your "last" favorite meal? And what's your new favorite meal??

My last mean meal was a fat burger, fries and a 12 pack of coors light. I felt so miserable and nasty when I was done and could not sleep all night. I was in Vegas and couldn't fit comfortably in any of the cloth's i had bought along to wear, I was so embarrased and distraught. Me and my girlfriend went for our b-day's and she looked so nice and put together in her cloths, that was one of my wake up calls and reality. I'm now on day 10 of induction and can't believe how wonderful I feel, I can see the pounds coming off already and some inches. I'm just loving myself right now. Good luck HeyPretty.

last "meal" before my weight loss journey was a 12 piece Frys Chicken and potato salad. 100% clean until this past new years eve dinner with a 3lb patties hamburger and fries. It would be free if downed within 30 minutes.. i failed but it was good and only gained a 1-2lbs. been clean since then.

Last bad meal: Stuffed chicken caprese with mushrooms, garlic mashed potatoes and Tuscana soup with a big glass of white wine.

New favourite: Spicy, bbq, baby back ribs (just 4, not the slab) with a big glass of water. LOL.

Mmmmm pasta...I think I'd have to add some to the last favorite meal!

And now what I like more than anything is a juicy steak with some melted butter on top! Not that I didn't like a good steak before!

Welp, my powders are finally here! Sheesh that only took 12 days!

Since I hate cooking (part of the reason I'm so heavy), I decided to go with mostly protein shakes for now. Bottle + Water = Meal.

If I get a hankering for real food, I intend to cook up some meat or eggs.

But I'm pretty sure with my research that I won't go hungry with the shakes.

So the protein shake is 5g Fat, 3g Carb, 35g Protein per shake and I decided to add fiber so I'll be adding another powder that is 4g Fat, 1g Carb and 3g Protein.

Grand total: 9g Fat, 4g Carb, and 38g Protein per shake.

That means I can have up to 5 shakes a day and still be at 20g Carb or less.

The protein shake is called "ON Complete Protein Diet" (Mostly Whey protein, Safflower Oil, Olive Oil, Borage Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Bitamins and Minerals.)
The fiber powder is called "Now Certified Organic Fiber-3." (Golden Flax Seed Meal, Gum Acacia, and Inulin.)

I still want to up my fat content more (Since this only puts me at around 18% Fat, 8% Carb and 74% Protein)... Anyone have an easy solution?

I would just add some MCT oil to the shake. It stays liquid and has no flavor.

I am really interested in if that is something that will be doable for you. Specifically if liquid diet with all the stuff you need overcomes you stomachs need for substance.

Well I failed on day one. And failed hard. Had my first shake an hour after I woke up and it tasted okay. Not as terrible as I had imagined. But about four hours later I was craving my ultimate comfort meal badly. So I went to Mickey D's and bought TWO double quarter pounder with cheese. I hate myself right now.

Tomorrow is another day, right?

I see so many posts on here where y'all are at month 8 and I can't even make it 24 hours? I hate that fast food is soeasy to get here. I need to move to Ethiopia.

HeyPretty, Don't beat yourself up. I know I wouldn't be able to do it on shakes. I need real food. Why don't you save the shakes for when you get closer to goal and just follow the list of induction foods with real whole foods? Going to just shakes has to be really really tough, I know I couldn't do it.

HeyPretty: One of the joys of Atkins is that you get to eat REAL food!! Follow Induction foods and you'll feel fuller for longer.
You mentioned at the end of January that you had McD's and pizza and mac & cheese. Once you get your head in the game, it will get easier. Plan your meals and maybe only use the shakes for emergencies and busy days. You have to think of this as long term not just to lose the current weight or you will be yo-yoing forever. Commit yourself to a new way of eating and not dieting. Good luck to you. Every day is a new beginning so don't feel too bad, just get it going tomorrow. You can do it!!

Aww..... shakes only is a tough way to go ~ Why not try scrambled eggs in the microwave with some good melty cheese on top? Takes about 60 seconds and it is so good....... Remember that most places will give you your burger protein style (wrapped in lettuce). It is possible to do this even with fast food, you just have to get a little creative. Taco salads from most Mexican places are good, just have them hold the tortilla chips and beans ~ (Mmmmm, carnitas....)

Most important ~ do NOT beat yourself up. We all tumble off the "wagon" now and again.
