Your thoughts on limiting cals?

Okay, so this is like my 4th? attempt at low-carbing, and I'm doing well and feeling well. I'm not doing Atkins exactly, but Atkins induction is very close to what I'm doing, so I'm posting this here.

I'm trying to lose the dreaded last 5-10 pounds, and I find I can't eat tons and still lose the way I could when I started losing weight at 240ish...

I seem to be stalled (stalled since before xmas even though I didn't cheat over the holidays with the one exception of some cookies on New Years Eve). During this whole time, I've been eating only about 1000-1150 cal/day and no more than 25 carbs, usually around 20 carbs. I walk over 10,000 steps (often 14,000) per day, but do no other exercise. I'm VERY sure there are no hidden carbs in anything I'm eating as that was my first thought and I've double checked everything. Anyway, even if I were eating pure carbs, I think I'd be losing with so few calories. I also include ALL calories/carbs in my totals, including those in coffee and diet soda that I know are rounded down to zero in the labeling...

Eating LESS than 1000 seems like too little, and exercising more without eating more also seems like it would be getting drastic in terms of net intake. So could I be eating too little?

I have heard that with low carbing there is, for some people, a "bottoming out," sort of eternal plateau weight (which can be higher than the person's aesthetic preferences). I'm hoping this isn't the case for me because while I am currently healthy and not overweight, I would also like to fit into "that" pair of jeans, if you know what I mean... and I'm SO CLOSE.

I'd love to hear experiences of people doing something similar to the induction phase but with the intent of dropping the stubborn last few pounds.

Have you tried JUDDD? It might mix up your metabolism just enough to get it going again so you can get rid of those last 10 pounds. And you can do it while low-carbing and maintaining your current level of calories, or possibly even a little bit more.

Alternatively, you could do a 3 day fat fast to get back into really deep ketosis and then reduce your carbs to <15 for a month or two. I bet the last few pounds will just melt away.

Thanks. I'm going to try cycling my intake amounts but averaging basically the same calories and carbs per day overall... We'll see what happens! *hopes*
