Hello! Sorry you're not feeling good Shelly! Hope the antibiotics kick in fast!

Welcome back luvleliz!!

I did well today. I did cave and had two pieces of Russell Stovers SF candy due to the very overwhelming smell of Krispy Kreme donuts coming from the kitchen at work. That smell kills me and my office is close to the kitchen. I'm thankful I stayed strong!

Gotta get the family fed and do my chores. Hope everyone has a great night!

So sorry Shelly about your Sinus and ear infection. That has got to drive you crazy. I hope you feel better soon.

Well, I went with a ginger and orange sauce for the chicken. I had just the chicken without coconut for supper, but I did taste the finally product. It was delish and only 5.8 net carbs per serving!! I will definitely make it again once I stop 72' induction.

ok, so got a call to go pick up my son today from day care. all I could think was great first day back on diet and im going to be home where all the temptations are. I brought my lunch back home with me so I wouldn't derail. I went to sam's club and ended up with chicken sausages, chicken meatballs, and a rotisserie chicken. Son was fine all day no fever etc. hopefully he will be good to go tomorrow. But I stayed on plan for the most part. I think by the end of the week i'll be able to lower the carb count significantly. I think I hit 42 today. when this diet worked before I was doing 20 a day for almost a year.

I hate to say this when everyone is experiencing such horrific weather conditions, I'm located in southern California and spent the day swimming yesterday. so I was afraid my son might of had an ear infection. Unfortunately it's been the hottest January in years and we are suffering drought conditions and high fire conditions. I'm praying for the cold weather states! My brother and family live in NY.

B: 2 eggs 2 pork sausage, coffee
L: green salad with chipotle ranch and homemade hamburger patty with cheese
S: brat, string cheese and atkins bar since I was craving chocolate
D: rotisserie chicken - if I'm hungry before the nights over maybe some more salad. I premade a huge container full.

Morning
Not sure what to make of this last week. It's bad enough I only seem to be losing 1-2 lbs a week, this past week I was yo-yoing between 188 and 187 so I finish the week exactly where I started??? If I was near goal I could understand this but I'm barely 1/2 way there. Forgot my lunch again and had to have salad so maybe it's the Ranch??? All of yesterday I only ate the greens with Ranch and 8 split wings for supper, that's it!!! Ugh.

Morning all. Was up all night not feeling well. My ear, throat, and head hurts UGH!!! I also got a call for my daughters school yesterday that she had a bad head ache. She never goes to the nurse. Must be a little bug going around, but man I would love a good night sleep.

Just a reminder to all about hidden sugars. Rotisserie chicken, salad dressings even canned tomatoes if you can believe it. And I am not talking about natural sugars from the tomatoes. I decided to check all the cans in the pantry and was astonished that they all have added sugars. I mean "come on" a tomato is a tomato I don't need added sugar on it Really makes you think about what you buy at the store. I guess I will be making my own spaghetti sauce with really organic tomatoes from now on. Geesh!!!!! Just trying to get all the sugars out of my daily foods. Dr. Atkin's is right it's in everything. Don't know why it took me this long to start to check can goods. I guess I thought they wouldn't have any in them. Guess again.

Not weighing in today again. Trying to give my body a few day of pure 15-20 carb all natural eating. Might weigh in Wed and Thurs before the start of the new month.

I didn't exactly eat on plan yesterday. I ate a bowl of the most delicious strawberries.... won't apologize for that one! But I also ate half of an Atkins bar. I got hit with cravings yesterday so those two things aren't bad considering what I normally get into. The snow amounts predicted for us are now 10+ inches. You Northerners can laugh at the panic that's going to ensue, but remember I live at the beach. I'm prepared because I've gotten my groceries and will stay at home. I have something like 4 dozen eggs in the frig. LOL

Hope everyone feels better! Someone has been sick in the house for the past few weeks. I think we just keep passing it back and forth.

Hello! Stupid TOM is making me have terrible cravings and also making me feel crazy bloated. Today I grazed all day and was really wanting sweets. I had a few slices of ham, HB egg, Russell Stover SF chocolate, LC chili, 1 strawberry (couldn't resist), LC cereal with almond milk, almonds, SF Greek yogurt, 3 coffees with HWC and SF DaVinci, 2 diet cokes, and 1 slice LC cinnamon bread toasted with butter. It was a day filled with LC sweet substitutes, but I guess it's better than going off the rails completely! I don't even want to think of how many calories or carbs that is. My tummy is killing me --- either from all the fiber or the sugar alcohol from the SF candy. I also had more coffee than normal and I typically avoid diet sodas. Just thankful that I'm finally full and the day is almost over! Tomorrow will hopefully go better!

Get better pcaltman!

Hope you survive the southern blizzard bulldogmom! Funny we both caved for a strawberry today! Like minds!

Bonny, hang in there! You've been doing great! The scale will catch up soon!

Shelly, those mushrooms sounded good!

Hugs to everyone else! Have a great night!!

If I calculate properly and eat what I input I'll be right around 30 carbs today. Let's pray that's what I do. Not hungry and even went to the luncheon I had already ordered for a week ago and didn't eat the fries or the bun that came with my hamburger!! YAY for me! It also came with a small salad so I was good. Proud of myself. If I hadn't gotten through day two I would be plenty upset with myself.

I think i'm down a pound....not giving it to myself yet.

Today was a rough day here too...snowed in with two teenage boys did pretty well though and went back and took a look at where I was when I started with Weight Watchers a couple of years ago....from then til now I have lost 59 lbs......can't believe I was that much heavier....and really cannot wait to get down to the point that I can get some smaller clothes...that will be a thrill...I know I feel more successful with this WOE but I think the biggest difference is all the support on here.....look forward to catching up with everyone's daily successes as I have time....Thanks for being here!!

8 months ago my ds (27) moved home to attend college and he dragged his gf (22) home and I foolishly allowed it. There have been issues with this living arrangement and she's not happy here. I'm walking on eggshells in my own home. Yesterday a situation brought everything to a head and my ds and I got into it. He and I have never fought like that about anything.
Sorry, TMI!

Anyway, in the last 24 hrs all I've had to eat was a small can of salmon. Way too upset to eat supper. Thought that was finally gonna get me to 186.... no such luck. Been bouncing the 187 for almost 2 wks. No cheats??? Ha, so much for fasting!!!

Only a couple of days and we're out of the "January Funk." God Bless.

Bonny, Sorry about what you are going through. It will get better. Good drop though, almost a full pound!

arb, pcalt, and shelly - Doing good!

We got about an inch to an inch and half of snow here. It is pretty and of course everything is closed today. The snow is not to great for making snowmen though - it doesn't stick together. My internet is dropping in and out since last night.

I had a bowl of strawberries again yesterday but its almost like my body doesn't know. It would be awesome if I could indulge in those every day. Its crazy here so I won't be able to respond to everyone. We got a ton of snow yesterday and this house just isn't big enough to be snowed in with 2 kids and 2 dogs....all hyper!

Bonny-Jean, I am so sorry for the stress you're going through. Your son and especially his gf need to realize that its your house and your rules. They shouldn't take advantage of your kindness.

Bonny, I'm so sorry to hear that! It may be time for them to move on, before your relationship with your son is damaged. We're here for you if you need to vent!

I agree, January has NOT been a good month for weight loss. My goal was to get into the 170's, and I did, but not as far as I'd like. No cheats, but still my weight is just bouncing around and I think I've only lost about 5 or 6 pounds this month. Probably one of my worst months for actual numbers lost. I really hope February is better!

Bonny I really hope things get better with your son.
I'm in the process of making a pot of LC chicken tortilla soup. Without the tortillas Lol. Found the recipe on lcf via google. Sounds super good so i'm excited to try it. I Love soup! Gotta go through all those recipes I got from Mthrgoos!

Shelly, I think you'll LOVE those recipes. When I make a full crockpot, my BF will eat the whole thing in 2-3 days! Speaking of which, I always spend Monday getting our food ready for the week, and since he's already below his goal, he eats a lot of foods that are further up the OWL Ladder that I don't eat. Yesterday he ate Lasagna, Pancakes, and Cheeseburgers and was down half a pound today! LOL Have to love the low carb recipes!
