I ended up eatting a pork steak for supper. That's all that sounded good Lol

Do it! If you don't use it, they make great racks for hanging clothes.
I do love my treadmill though. You can easily do 10 minutes here and there.

I noticed Kemp in one of the threads; can't remember which now...damn memory. Anyhow, on the way home today, I got my DW to make a detour to the local library to get her book. While there, I checked the little book store they run & yes, managed to find the original DADR.
My buddy came over & we had some tequila (1 shot for me). Hopefully it doesn't knock me off the top of the sand dune aka ketosis.
As for the treadmill idea, our JRT forces us out the door & for the limited cardio we do, my DW has kettlebells to swing. Whatever works.
Thanks for the BD wishes

I'd like to swim again but that'll have to wait 30 more lbs.

Bonny, if you enjoy swimming, don't you dare wait for 30 more pounds to do it! I wasted so many years not doing the things I wanted to because I was too darn fat. Not that you're fat, but at 300 pounds I definitely was. Once we moved out here, where it gets to over 120 degrees, I just said Screw It! I spent the last several summers out there, in my bathing suit, at 300 pounds, and having too much fun to give a rats rear what anyone thought. Do what you want to do and enjoy!

Good morning all my little darlings............

Thanks Missy: Yeah, things are moving a little better... maybe???
The only thing that's changed is I started adding more fat like butter in the scrambled eggs and coconut oil in anything pan fried. This is gonna sound bizarre but:

Stopped eating leafy greens w/2 tbsp Ranch at lunch.
Started drinking 1-2 Diet Coke per evening.

I now split my salmon or egg salad between breakfast and lunch. I've also cut my pork steaks in half. I seem to be better with several small portions as opposed to 3 reg meals a day. I just can't eat much at one sitting anymore. I'm not confident the 40 lb loss I hit today will stick, as it seems to take 4-5 days for a new number to stick but I'm happy finally getting there. Realistically, I'm half way to goal but my "want" goal is an extra 10 lbs. One day I might be in the same boat as Shelly..... fighting for that last 10 lbs!!!! I'm pretty confident that once she gets the nicotine and other toxins out of her body and things settle down for her, she will see the scale move again.

January's goal was to focus mainly on eating back on plan, which I have done. But it still would have been nice to see some losses for my effort. Today will be my first full day without hwc. If there is no significant change in a week, I'll add it back in. I already know that I'm sensitive to dairy so maybe this is what has been holding me back.

BulldogMom: Oh, this is so frustrating, eh. Trying to find the food culprit is like trying to find a food allergen in a dog!! What an time consuming and over powering process!!! It could take awhile with removing this for a week or two and then removing that for a time. You have to try something, right??? We can't keep doing what's not working for us. Good luck to you hon and please keep at it. You will conquer this. I know you will. Please just stick with it and us. Maybe Shelly had a good talk with the man upstairs cause my prayer was answered right on time!!! LOL. All the best young lady. Fingers crossed that things get going for you.

Happy Belated Birthday PaleoGuy!

Nice drops everybody! Too many of you to name.

Thanks Bonny-Jean for the support! I have a feeling its past time for me to get back on the treadmill. I'm just having a hard time getting the motivation in cold weather. Which makes no sense because I run indoors, but I seem to stay cold anyway. I'm targeting hwc because there isn't much else in my diet that could be the culprit aside from the Splenda. But I also don't know if I just haven't given my body enough recovery time from that December long carb-out. Whatever, I have lots that I can work with and I have a plan.

BulldogMom: I'm glad you have a plan. Winter does something to our psyche, I swear by it. Try to remember what it was that got you going in the first place. For me it was seeing a picture of myself with co-workers pulling a DC-9 for charity. OMG, I was sick when I saw how fat my face was. That was it for me and I keep remembering that picture and sometimes go back to have a look. The face is slimming out but what am I gonna do about that wattle?? Eeewww, it gives me shivers.

I hope you find your incentive and run with it. Again, I'm wishing you all the best and hoping you have some happiness with this very, very soon!

I forgot to mention I've also stopped using that Garcinia Cambogia and things started moving again. Did I mention that before how my body seems to do the opposite of others??? That stuff was supposed to help with weight loss and mood. Yeah, sc**w that, eh!!! I also am stopping my 1 a day vitamins. I honestly never did believe in them and what I've heard the last few days is they don't really work anyway. Just my opinion.

I honestly never did believe in them and what I've heard the last few days is they don't really work anyway. Just my opinion.
Its funny that you mention this. I added CoQ10 recently plus I take other vitamins. I've had horrible headaches since I started the CoQ10 so I stopped taking them today. I guess we'll see what the next week holds for me. Tomorrow I'm going to a hockey game and I'll have to bring along a protein bar. Too bad I can't sneak in some deviled eggs.

I played hookey from work today and watched "The Doctors". It was scary to hear all they had to say about vitamins and supplements... especially supplements. You should look up the show and have a read. Several people died after taking the same supplement. I can't remember what they found in it but it was deadly. Apparently they are called "food" so they don't go thru FDA regulations that prescription drugs do. Be very, very careful with them. I'm done. Not taking another one again.
