Gypsy, my fingers are crossed for you!

Shelly, even though you don't actually have TOM any more, don't you find that your body still goes through the same sort of cycle each month? Mine definitely does. And I have that one week each month where I'm retaining water and hungry. Maybe it's just in my head, but I don't think so because I never see any scale losses during that week every month.

DQ, so nice to have you back with us! I know you're so crazy busy that you don't get time to post very often, so it's really nice when you do!

Trini, love the picture! You are so beautiful!!!

Lori, Can't wait to hear how the C25K training goes! I'm seriously considering getting started as soon as we finish the flooring and my treadmill gets pick back up.

I'm not weighing, since the house is all torn up my scale is sitting in the garage until the flooring is done, but it should be done in the next couple of days. I was feeling thin yesterday though, so when I got up, I grabbed my size 6 jeans out of the closet. THEY FIT. Seriously. I was even able to wear them all day yesterday, without even a muffin top.

I have heard that too. If you still have ovaries, you still have a cycle.

Off to the store...wish I had thought to tell DH to get more bacon when he went yesterday!

So what kind of flooring are you putting down?? With the dogs, my aunty's cat and the bird, I just laid some beautiful hickory laminate throughout the entire house including the kitchen, but not the bath. Even when we play ball in the house, the labs were never able to scratch it. Size 6 pants!! Can't even imagine how good that must feel!! Good for you.

Thanks Ladies! I was pretty excited!!!

Bonny, we're having the 18x18 squares of travertine tile put in the entire house, except the 2 bedrooms. The bedrooms will have carpet. The carpet that was in the house was SO BAD when we moved in 4 years ago, but we were so focused on getting the business going that we didn't do anything at all to the house. With 3 really big dogs, I just couldn't see putting carpet back down. And we live in the desert, so there's not any grass, just all dirt and rock, so the dogs are always tracking dirt in. I'm really hoping we like the tile when it's all said and done, but I have to say, we had Home Depot handle the whole job from start to finish, and they have done a terrible job so far. One problem after another. Definitely not what I expected.

Lori, Nice drop! Good luck with the C25k! I did it before my foot injury. I need to get motivated again.

Shelly, I still get TOM symptoms. Its frustrating because I had irregular cycles to begin with, so now I'm just left guessing when I suffer the hormonal effects. I don't know how long ago your hysterectomy was, but I heard it can take up to a year before your body gets back to normal.

Mthergoos, size 6!!!! Woohoo!!! I'm still about a size 14-16. My pant sizes haven't changed much since going LC.

Bonny-Jean, I know you'll lose those 2 lbs in no time!

Mthergoos: Wow, Travertine tile... okay, Miss R.B.!!! That's pretty nice. Gonna look amazing. Don't let them get away with anything. If they have to redo and redo, too darn bad!! Sorry the install isn't going as planned. I think you'd be able to work with Home Depot better than a private contractor. Good luck with that!! How's the scorpions there??? EEwwww, creepy!! Just gives me shivers thinking about them, oh, and snakes!!! All I have to worry about is mosquitos. LOL. Thank God most buggies can't survive our winters!!

BulldogMom: Put on hold... ha, that's funny. Thanks for the vote of confidence. It will go, I know but dang, this is soooooooooo slow!! How are ya doing btw?

Shell: I had a feeling you might have a link to the man upstairs. Thanks for the prayer and one for yourself for sure. You're doing so good and are juggling more things than I ever could. Good luck with everything, hon. You deserve all good things that come to you.

You guys are the best. I thank God for sending me such wonderful friends.
I love you all.

You are right!!! Why do we forget the successes and only concentrate on the rough patches in the road? Now if only every week could be like that first week! But we'll take what we can get~~~onward and upward....Thanks for the reminder!!!

Shelly, I'm certainly no expert....I gained 60lbs when I quit smoking 15 years ago which I'm still trying to get rid of....it's hard not to honor that hand to mouth fixation.....maybe try chewing on crushed ice instead of sugar free stuff? and upping the water??....lots of toxins still in your body..AND your body is going through nicotine withdrawals.....probably causes lots of chemical imbalances right now. HOWEVER, be soooo proud that you are dealing with it now rather than carrying around 60 lbs of the bad effects 15 years later!!! You are doing so well! Keep it up!!!

Shelly - I am the same way. Was going up and had no idea why. Got so frustrated had to change something.

I do have a confession everybody. I blew the Whole30 already. Not on food are anything just the cream in the coffee. I don't mind black coffee from time to time, but love the cream in my coffee so I broke down today and put a tbsp. in. Not too worried. I do think it made me think about how much cream, cream cheese, and cheese I was eating. I will still keep out all other stuff and eat basic, but will have the cream in my coffee. So not 100% Whole 30 compliant. Oh well.....

Doing good. tummy feels flatter but I will not weigh until Monday am. I figure something has to give someday right? I have been going on walks as well. Boy do my legs hurt. My shins more than anything I need new shoes so I wont hurt as bad, but one thing at a time. Just happy I am getting out and about.

I am a little worried about the weigh in on Monday because I have been eating ham and bacon. Lots of salt. I am done with the ham now so maybe over the next few days things will clear out of my body.

Keep it up all, you are doing great

Bonny, you will get there. I know you will!

Mthergoos, Home Depot doesn't have their own team of contractors. They sub-contract it out to local contractors - And they have no requirement except the company must have 1mil liability insurance. So just about any company can work for them. I used them before and now won't ever again after finding that out. Now I google local contractors myself and look up their BBB and customer reviews and hire my own. Ask the people doing it what company they are from so you know not to use them.

Very Good losses arb!

Laura, what's going on with you? Are you still overworked and stressed?

Bulldog, give the new food a week or two for your body to adjust. The weight will go up at first but then come back down as your body adjusts. If it doesn't after two weeks, you will know that food item is not good for you. At least that is what I have found out for me. Also, I've recently noticed with me that when I have a day of higher carbs (above 10) and higher calories than normal (above 1200) and then drop back down to my normal routine, I lose better. It's weird but it seems my normal 700-900 cal days have started causing my body to hold more weight. So when I throw more cals into it, it releases and I start to lose again. Currently I do on average one day a week above 1200cals, one day a week under 500 cals and the rest between 700-900 cals. I seem to notice a nice drop after the higher cal day and two days after the low cal day.

You're right. I might try and do something similar to what you are doing. I've fallen into a routine of eating the same foods at the same time of day. I believe that cycling works with everything from working out to eating. Its just a matter of actually doing it.

Scale might not be moving as fast as I'd like but at least the tape measure is, a little anyway.

Hips are down 6"... waist down 4" and bust down 2"... how odd? I'm losing like in a pyramid shape??
