Girl, right now you don't worry about coffee or anything else. You have a momentous task trying to quit smoking. That has to be enough on your plate without worrying if you had an extra cup or two of coffee.
Chillax my girl, one battle at a time.

"I'd say check your mattress for popped springs or flip it around.

As for the PVC, I have it and suffer MVP as well. But all's well with my heart so far, thank God. Just have to live with the skipping sometimes rapidly. I haven't had any increased issues with them on induction, but my PVC is benign. "

Still Learning how to quote. It wouldn't allow me to select the button

Thank you for your response. My mattress is in excellent working condition. I must have just pulled my back. My PVC/PACs have been rather under control here lately. I will knock on wood that it stays that way for you and me! Thank you again!

MissDee, MtherGoos, Bulldogmom... The stress will lesson when the weather gets better. Part of my job is making sure the plant has enough bottles to run all the products and to start the next shift off well set up. I also give the moves out to our yard dogs to get trailers for components, and finished goods into the door to either load or unload. With the weather everyone wants to know where there trailers are and don't seem to remember that it's nasty and slick outside... you know the stuff they just drove through to get to work. So anyway I have everyone on my ass on top of all the questions, and problems I already deal with. On top of all that I'm also back to doing distribution again some how. It's just a mess and I stress ate 3 times over the last week, resulting in a 4 pound gain. Not bad I guess for what all I ate.

1/4 - 190.6
1/5 - 190.6

I buy the grab and go already premeasured at 23g protein. I mix it either in a cup of unsweetened almond milk or my coffee with hwc. It comes in so many delicious flavors. So far I have tried the Strawberry Mousse, Fuzzy Navel, and Chocolate Truffles. MMMMmmm good! To me it's like a treat. But you could mix it in anything you drink even water. Hey maybe the hwc with ice blended like a shake, now that sounds GOOD...I may try it that way tomorrow. If you have Amazon Prime account it is free shipping and the cheapest I have found. Just make sure it is the Syntrax Nectar version - other protein powders have carbs and/or sugar.

Not like crazy that can hurt you but staying very hydrated. It is quite possible I hurt my back in my sleep, but I figured I would check in with you all.

One more question while I am at it.
I have PVCs. Most do, I am just a freak and feel them. My heart is sound. No issues there. I have been holter monitored in the last year. All is good. Are there any other out there who have PVCs and do they increase when you are on induction? In the past they have for me but this time they haven't and I am just curious.

Thanks,

I did have low back pain for a couple days the very first time I went LC/Atkins. I think the switch to burning fat for energy was had on me. It passed, for me, in a couple or three days. It was worth the suffering to start losing

I'll probably be up tomorrow. I had a crummy day and ate too much. Actually I probably didn't go over 20 carbs, but I just could not stop eating. We shall see...

Good morning everyone!!

Welcome back, Kemp!!

My scale hasn't really moved in the past few days, but I think it's because of all the exercise I've been doing. I'm taking 4 classes per week of pretty intense spin, row, TRX, weights, etc. I love it. And the best part is that I've gotten 2 compliments this week on my weight loss. I keep smiling and saying thanks, but it feels weird since the scale isn't down. But maybe my inches are?? I don't know, I'm just going to go with it and enjoy the journey.

Since y'all were talking about coffee, I thought I'd throw in the reason that I tried to eliminate it (or have a random cup here and there). I was using 2T per cup and having 3-4 cups per day. Those calories really added up for me. But my body is super sensitive to calories. I wish it wasn't so.

I'm in another online group for women who are looking to get fit. I'm part of the group mainly for the exercise aspect and because they post ALOT of before and after pictures of themselves (its a good thing for me). One lady posted a picture of herself at 136 lbs and a few months later she was 139 lbs but looked so much smaller. Its pictures like that, that make me see how the number on the scale really doesn't matter that much. So our weights may fluctuate, but how are we looking? I bet everyone here is looking great!

Gypsy, you're having an AWESOME month! Way to go!!!

BulldogMom, you're so right, having the toned muscles looks so much better, and so much smaller, than the flab. That's where I'm at right now. Lots of flab. BLEH! However, I'm so close to my scale goal that I really feel like I want to hit that before I add in exercise. That's the internal debate I keep having with myself anyway. To exercise now or to wait until I'm at goal? I go back and forth.

I'm having the same internal debate about lifting weights to tone up. Its not my favorite thing to do but I don't want to be left with droopy skin either. I hate my arms and I don't want them getting worse. But then again, I like seeing the scale move downwards too.

Oh BulldogMom, I have given up on having "nice" arms. I will never be able to wear tank tops. If I ever got to have skin removal surgery, my arms would be the very first thing I would have done. However, I know that I could definitely add some muscle and toning to them. They'll never be good, but they could be better. Of course, my real goal, is to start running and be able to run that half marathon in November with my daughter. I'm hoping that I can get almost to goal by around April, if my current losses continue, and then I'll start the training. I'm hoping that April-November will be enough time to get in shape for it. If not, I'll just do the half of a half. Anything is better than nothing, right?

Here's a tip for the flabby skin - I have used it since day 1 starting this woe and for me I think it has helped keep the skin a little more toned and not too flabby.

#1 When in the shower take a back scrub brush or a hand wash brush, soap it up, and scrub (not to hard) all the flabby areas for 1-2mins. This is supposed to increase circulation to those areas and somehow make them tighten and shrink.
#2 Right after getting out of the shower while still a little wet - apply Nivea Skin Firming Moisturizer or its generic brand (I use Equate's version). The Coenzyme Q10 helps firm and tighten loose skin. One of my doc's told me I could use it instead of paying for their prescription brand and said it worked just as well. Well really it was the nurse that told me not the doctor.

I can say although I do have some flab, I think the above two steps done daily has helped it stay firmer and more toned than it should be. And as everyone here knows, I do not do any type of exercise at all so my results are not from workouts. It has even helped with stretch marks I have had since I gave birth to my dd 8yrs ago.

Hello everyone and Happy Friday!

It's been a long, long time since I've posted, but great to see some familiar people! Kemp, Amber, Laura and Chelsey !!! Missed you all! Hope you are doing well.

Been living (mostly) LC for the past year. I've gained about 6lbs from my lowest, but happy to say I'm restarting Induction 27lbs lower than last year.

Have gotten the whole family involved: my dad has lost 40lbs, my mom 21lbs, and my boyfriend about 20lbs. So happy for all of them.

My January goals are centered mostly around workouts--which I've neglected something awful in the past 6 months!

Hoping to see the 140s by January 31!

Hey Kat!! Welcome back!!!! I'm about the same as you - down about 30 of where I was, but up 25 from my low. Working back to that point again.

Bulldog - Thanks for mentioning that about women looking smaller as they workout, even though the scale may go up. I am working out HARD and loving it, but the darn scale is not my friend right now. I'm going to just keep doing all of the right things, including working out, and see where it gets me in another month. I feel sore everywhere and love the empowerment I feel after a long sweat session. So I'm going with it.

I wish that I could share the picture because the difference is amazing! I'm not sure if I'm allowed to mention the "book" website where people connect their "faces", but there is a private group where moms are sharing their exercises for the day and a lot of progress photos, starting out photos, etc. The only thing is none of them are low carb, they are all doing the conventional diet of clean eating, low fat, low calorie etc so I stay away from any conversations about nutrition. Its a very large group so its okay to get lost in the crowd and not participate. But if you are interested in the group name, I'll be happy to pm you so that you can check it out.

Thanks for posting this. The only thing I'm not doing is the CQ 10 which I'll be adding. I'm taking biotin right now (when I can remember). That's supposed to be good for skin, hair and nails.
