LC Smoothies and Shakes *Induction*
Can you please share some good LC Induction Smoothies or Shakes?

I would love to know of some good shakes too...I just can't do eggs, ham, bacon for breakfast...not a brekfast person at all!!!I have a plant based protein mix..4 carbs a scoope. I use the unsweetened almond milk...has 1 or 2 carbs a cup...can this be used for breakfast on induction??

diannemc, For me, I wouldn't use the mix or the milk on induction. I'd keep my induction as clean as possible, but it's all about finding what works for you. You don't have to eat eggs and bacon for breakfast. Your breakfast can be anything you would normally eat... steak, chicken, tuna, etc.... Don't be afraid to shake things up.
I myself, love smoothies and shakes. I recently broke down and started doing them if i get a sweet craving and so far I've only made them like 3 times but this is my recipe i came up with. Not sure exactl how many carbs but its def low carb.
in a blender..
handful of spinach
a 1/4c of coconut milk (from the can with the high fat..lower in carbs)
a scoop of whatever whey protein isolate you chose. I like the vanilla myself.
a couple sprinkles of the crystal light appletini juice mix
another handful of ice
a few dashes of cinnamon (optional)
depending on the thickness you might have to mix it up some midway through blending and/or add a splash of water.
it takes just like a fresh pina colada to me :)
Here is how I make my low carb smoothies:
- 1 cup unsweetened coconut or almond milk
- 1 scoop whey protein powder (target brand)
- 1 cup frozen fruit (target brand)
- 1 tsp of unsweetened cocoa powder (if craving chocolate)
- 1 stevia pack
Check & measure each ingredient to make sure the smoothie is 10g carbs max!
This is what I made on Christmas Day.
I added 1 slice of avocado.
Chocolate Cherry Smoothie
...just 10 g carbs
- unsweetened coconut milk (1 cup)
- Baby spinach (handful)
- frozen cherries (handful)
- whey protein powder (3g carbs max)
- 1 tsp cocoa powder unsweetened
Okay made this last night and it was amaz-balls!!!
1 tablespoon flax-chi combo
Half a cup, greek plain full fat yogart
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
3 pumps sugar free divinchi syrup vanilla
1 big scoop whey protein vanilla
4 ice cubes
No picture sorrry, drank it way to fast!! Yummy :p
