Heaven help me. The next two days are what we call-in my husband's family-Cookiepalooza! It's two days straight of baking and decorating cookies with my daughter, sisters-in-law, and my niece. I have instructed them all to hit me in the head if I so much as a look like I might be remotely thinking of eating a cookie. I love getting together with them to do this (and they use their family's cookie recipes-and I really like my family's cookies better). I just have my fingers crossed that I won't mindlessly pop a cookie into my mouth without thinking.

I have my breakfasts and dinners already planned for those days. I think I will go over to the McDonald's by my one sister-in-law's house to get their Bacon Ranch salad with grilled chicken (they're 10 carbs total-not sure what the net carbs are).

As a side note, has anyone heard from mydear lately? I remember her well and always found her so inspirational!

Gypsy: Awe man I envy you NOT!!! That would be tough. Best of luck, you can do it. I know you can. Sounds like a good plan to plan your meal. I have not heard from Mydear since I have been back. I miss her also, she was so nice and very inspirational. Glad you are back.

Finally made myself get on the scales. Good news I weigh the same thing I did in June. Bad news....I weigh the same thing I did in June. But I am starting my diet and fitness journal this morning. I am considering this day one since I didn't weigh until this morning.

Dec 1.....185.2
Dec 2.....185.8
Dec 3.....185.4

I hate dealing with the challenges of hormones. It seems that out of a month, I get two weeks of good losses and 2 weeks of bouncing around while being bloated. I'm just going to ignore whatever the scale does this week.

MissyDee, I think my ultimate goal would be to lose a 2 month old horse. Wow that's a lot!

Kemp, I needed a laugh this morning! I'd like to be there when you explain to someone that you lost an elephant penis. LOL

Shelly, Woohoo! Hope this loss sticks and you're heading back down again!

pcaltman, I feel your pain! Maybe by the end of the week we'll both get a whoosh. Did I mention how much I hate hormones!?

Candid, Being able to maintain is a big challenge in itself so good job on that! I'm sure you'll do great with the losses. Here's to day one!

Last10, welcome! Glad to see you here!

Avaleigh, Great job on the loss!

Lori, Happy Belated Birthday! I don't blame you for indulging one bit!

Gypsy, If you do indulge in a cookie, eat a lot of protein with it. It will help minimize the carb damage. But I know you'll be strong!

Pinkcadillac, great job on the loss! I hope you're feeling better!

Trinigirl, Great job! Now that you've hit goal, will you be doing anything different?

Great job to all of the losers and maintainers!

Good Morning Everyone! Didn't weigh today, after my whoosh yesterday, I didn't want to press my luck by weighing again today! I'm afraid I'll see a bounce and I'd just rather not know. Ignorance is bliss! I did double check my scale accuracy though by jumping on the scale at home just before walking out the door to see the Dr. Clothes, shoes, everything, exactly as I'd be weighing at the Dr. Office. I actually weighed half a pound LESS at the Dr office. So I think my scale is pretty accurate. Which I means I do actually weigh 190~

MissG, it WILL get eaiser. The first couple of weeks can be tough, but the longer you hang in there, the easier it gets.

Pink ~ WTG!! Congrats on hitting goal!

Gypsy ~ Stay Strong! You can do this! No cookies! It's not worth the set back!

Last10,

Pcaltman, you know it's water weight. TOM just sucks.

Kemp~ You'll be passing me up in no time! You are amazing!

Candid ~ Making it from June to December without gaining is a victory in itself. Not it's all downhill from here!

Bonny Jean ~ Sometimes it takes a few days for the weight loss to show, so it could be that the dancing did help, but just hasn't shown yet.

Trini ~ How is maintenance feeling? I'm so very very happy for you that you're at goal. I can't even imagine that to tell you the truth!

Laura, How are you doing? Are you and John getting all settled in?

Hope everyone has a great day!!

miss g: fitbit is a electronic pedometer. it keeps tabs on all your daily steps, calories burned, steps climbed, sleeping time etc. I love it. It is not perfect but it does a great job for me. I like to run about 3500 negative calories a day and this maks that task easier.

I ended up seeing a different doctor yesterday, and she was absolutely shocked by weight loss. It really made me laugh. The majority of my appointment was her asking me questions about what I eat. She said she'd never seen anybody's ketones that high in their urinalysis and I told her that for me it was a good thing! LOL She said that my lab results looked better than hers and that maybe she should do this to lose the 50 pounds she needs to lose.

Of course, then that conversation went on to her saying that she didn't think she could give up bread, and that you really can't do this way of eating more than 2 months or it will destroy your kidneys. I asked her how my kidney function looked on lab results and she said it was perfect. I told her that it was still perfect after 10 months of this way of eating, so that kind of ruins her theory. Why is it that people insist on finding lame excuses NOT to do this way of eating when they realize what they're going to have to give up to do it! LOL
