Thanks Missy. I'l try that. I do have an issue with light-headedness when I'm due for some food though. I have been trying to up the fat by adding butter to scrambled eggs and adding coconut oil to pan fried steaks. I guess I have to just suck it up and have more patience. Tks again.

Thanks all,

Just being a little emotional I guess. So I have decided not to weigh myself until Jan 1st. Need to feel like giving myself a fresh start. I am 100% until then so hopefully the weight will go down before I get on the scale. I might just weigh in weekly as well in Jan. Just to mix things up a bit.

Having fun with hubby painting and working on this house. We love doing things.

Good Morning Everyone! Kemp, you look AMAZING!!! You should be very proud of yourself!

Bonny, what works for me when I get stuck is to stick to beef and eggs for a few days. That's not all that different from what I usually eat, but just cutting out everything else and sticking to beef and eggs will almost always get the scale moving again.

Hope everyone is having a great day. Not feeling so good today, a little stomach fluish, but I'm at work til 5, so I'm hoping it doesn't get worse. Bleh!

Wow, can't believe I was the last to post and the first today!! I really gotta get a life. So I'm finding that everytime I exercise I show a .25 to .50 gain the next day. Explain that one to me, Kemp??? Whether I manually shovel or get out the snowblower, the days I do that I see a rise on the scale the next. There's definitely a pattern here! LOL.
Except for the odd treat over the holidays, most days I think my caloric intake is about 800 and carbs are about 9 so I don't understand how I'm not dropping at least 2 lbs a week?? One of those things, I guess? MEH!!

Lol Bonnie, that's exactly why I don't exercise! It works the same for me, I see a bump up on the scale every time I do. So while I know it's good for my overall health, it doesn't equate to scale losses for me, so I'm waiting til I'm about at goal to start exercising.

Yeah, WTH, eh?? So bizarre! It's kinda strange how I'm soooo healthy and have perfect numbers on my CBC & Chems, yet was 80+ lbs overweight, smoke and don't exercise? Hmm, go figure. Then as soon as I start exercising there's a little gain and the more fresh air I get the more I start coughing. I guess my doctor is right when he called me an "anomaly" My body is so bass-ackwards that somedays I really don't know what to do??

Bonny-jean: That is just your body saying, get back in the house and sit on the couch!!! LOL I get the same thing went I start to exercise. It is just your body holding on to water to repair muscle overnight. Your body will equalize and the water will go away. If I hit the weights really hard at the gym I will stall for two days with water weight. If I hit the cardio hard however it will just keep falling off after the first few days. Don't give up keep moving. It has such great health benefits that it is worth it. And a slight bump in the scale over the course of a little time is nothing. Unless you do extreme makeover biggest loser workouts the scale will not move from working out, but the body shape will start changing quickly.

No change in weights in 4 days. I feel like I should have been back into ketosis by now, but am having no ketosis onset symptoms. My ketone strips are still showing negative, and I am having no hunger control symptoms from ketosis, no weird taste on my mouth, not overly thirsty. I am hoping to get back into ketosis soon. This month has been a wash I feel extremely disappointed in myself for caving on Christmas. I'm also just confused as to what happened in the middle of the month. Trying to stay positive. Still limiting dairy to just HWC-2 tbs for the day. Limiting splenda to just 2 packs a day. 1 coffee at the start of my day. Maybe I need to scale back on fats a little. I dunno. Still trying to figure this out. Right now I'm just eating eggs scrambled or fried, broiled beef, and boiled broccoli, butter for prep in eggs and on broccoli, salt and pepper for seasonings.

Bonny, you are losing pretty good. I know it is frustrating, but look at your numbers. The are steadily going down even if it is not a fast drop. So overall I say you are doing wonderfully! If you had a food chart, I could enter it into my program and tell you exactly how many pounds you should be losing base on calories, fat%, carb% and protein% daily. But I can tell you that if you are averaging at 800 cals a day, you definitely should be losing more weight than you are, even doing nothing but sitting on the couch. So something is up - If you want me to do a work up for you and you have the daily info, pm me here. It has been right on target for me and a few others I have done one for. It will tell you what your body needs nutrient and calorie wise daily to lose X amount per week and the expected date you will meet goal. (on a sidenote) -Where you originally from the south? I thought my family was the only ones whos said 'bass-ackwards'!

Ava, I feel for you. As you know I gained after my Christmas Blip for two days. I got fed up with the gain and did a fat fast day -only coffee with hwc and water. Now I am finally losing again. Don't give up. I would not decrease fat, increase it! That is what always works for me. If you can do a liquid fast day, it will reset your system immedietaly and you will be back on track. Do you keep a food log? If you do you should look back at the 16-18th and see what you may have eaten differently hose days for that little gain on the 19th. With me I have found it takes between 1-3 days for the gain to occur depending on what I have eaten. Some show up faster.

actually, it's not that bad.
about 1 carb per ounce--
in 3.5 oz there are around 90 calories and 3 carbs.
btw, extra brut is sweeter than plain old brut. It doesn't make any sense, but it appears to be true.
I buy freixenet at around $10 a bottle.

Thanks DQ! I haven't decided if I even really want anything to drink or not Lol. The Hubs drinks Keystone Or Busch light but i'm not a beer fan. The kids will have some sparkling grape juice. That's their tradition. We're just planning on Pizza, Hot wings and Movies for NYE.

I loved seeing everyone's pictures! You all are looking good! I'm sorry for the ones who struggled. In a way it makes me feel better knowing that I wasn't alone. I wasn't good at all this month. I had quite a few out of control moments. What I learned is that I can have one baking session and be fine. But to have an all day bake-fest or baking every day is my undoing. From now one, I'll buy baked goods to take to a party and gifts will just have to be bought. All the junk is finally out of the house except for the kids' candy, which doesn't tempt me. Today is the 3rd day back on plan and I feel better already. I weighed in this morning at 189 so not great but not as bad as I was expecting. I think January's goal is to focus on staying on plan and not a weight.
