Really ON TRACK today. Had 2 bacon, 3 eggs but lots of coffee.
Supper is just 4 med pork back ribs and then maybe some green tea.
I think I'm getting most of my fat and calories from the hwc, probably not good but nothing beats a nice cup of coffee on these cold nights.

Shelly: What's an ACT??
Is your bladder better or do you think your back pain has something to do with that? Can you stomach handle a muscle relaxant?? Maybe a heating pad?
The "gas" is a pretty good reason to give up the SF candy, eh?? LOL. You get better, Cutey Patootey!!

BulldogMom: How are you feeling today??

pcaltman: Think we'll crack a bottle of Black Tower (white) for Christmas dinner. Not the best choice but it can't stay in the fridge forever, right!!

Ah Bonny your a Doll! ACT is a Test kids here in America take if they plan on going to college. The Highest score you can get is a 36. I figure the higher the score you get the better scholerships etc ya get etc. Sam is a junior so he's got another yr but he's already started getting letters from colleges! As far away as Rhode island! Geez I do Not want my boy that far away Lol!

Bladder is better! Thank God! With my fibro a lot of people get irritable bladder and when I drink to much Diet coke etc it gets irritated and Hurts!
My back pain is upper in the shoulder blade area so I don't think it's related. Stomach is probably from gastritis again feels worse when hungry.

Ah, you poor baby... so sorry Hon.
Okay, now I remember hearing about ACT's. It's hard when they leave, for sure!! I went thru that 6 yrs ago.
I had an excruciating pain in my neck several years ago and it was spasming. I was on heavy duty meds and a neurologist determined it was a viral infection in the muscle behind my shoulder blade. WTH???? Anyway he said about 5 1/2 weeks and it was that almost to the day. Wow!! Lots of demerol and morphine.
Hope these things pass and you feel good for Christmas. Best wishes sweetie.

Had a good day today. Ended up having to make a trip and eat lunch on the road but managed with a quick salad before and took some slices of pepperoni, a cheese stick and an atkins bar for the road. It tided me over enough with some powerade. Finally sitting down to dinner now at 8:30pm with a flu-sick hubby (any suggestions other than pushing water?) and eating eggplant parmesan casserole (LOVE!)

Also of interest, Christmas shopping is DONE! I am hoping to sit down and budget out January so I can add to the grocery budget - we seem to be spending a lot more on atkins than we were before grocery-wise.

Changing, Great staying on plan with the trip today. No good advice for the flu - lots of broth. Are you buying a lot of Atkins products - bars, shakes etc... I have been able to keep my budget the same just by buying on-plan veggies, meats, and eggs. I don't use any Atkins products.

Well, I thought I did great yesterday - my carbs were low as usual. Then I entered the crab legs I ate. OMG!!! I did not know crab had SO much protein. I usually stay around 60-70g protein and 80-90fat. WOW was I surprised to see 133g protein and 122g fat. Not the ratios I was looking for. Wonder what that is going to do with my weight?

You're exactly right so DON'T do it!! You will be more upset if you do. Try to think of the upcoming events and maybe ignore that damn scale for a day or two. I'm hoping your measurements tomorrow will bring some happy results.

It's 72 and rainy for today and tomorrow. All the snow is gone now and it doesn't really feel like Christmas anymore. I was beautfiul out yesterday when hubby and I went out shopping. Can't complain too much, but it's more christmasy with snow.

Egg and sausage for breakfast
buffalo wings for lunch
chicken legs with creamy italian sauce and salad for dinner

No more wine in the house Oh well I guess I have to be good

I could live without snow for xmas. Wouldn't bother me a bit. It's -24F right now with 2' of snow. Oh so Christmassy... yeah, right!! I'm saving my vino for Xmas dinner. I really don't drink so a glass or two is gonna give me quite a buzz. Only 2 days to go, I'm so excited. I love this time of year.

Oh you guys are making me SO Glad we're in Arizona! We're hitting the high 60's to low 70's every day. And even then, I'm cold! LOL

Still not getting on the scale, just doing the right things and staying in Ketosis. Just hoping I'll have a nice surprise when I finally get on the scale and see a decent loss.

Shelly, I know you've been so frustrated, so hopefully the trip to your endo will help. It has to be your meds! Hang tough, you're doing a great job and all that water weight will just Whoosh off when they get your meds straightened out!

Avaleigh, Don't Cave! You know you'll be so sorry. It's just not worth it. If the scale is throwing you, just stay off of it for a while. Then when you do get on it, you'll have a nice surprise.

Wishing everyone Happy Holidays!

Ok, so I stayed strong & resisted many temptations, but now I am giving myself a break since I reached my December goal of 150
Now, I will not go crazy, but I will allow myself some wine, some chocolates & Christmas cookies, during the holidays, with my plan of not going over 100g carbs a day. I know my body by now & at 100g carbs my body just stays the same, no loss, maybe 1 lb gain, but I usually drop 2-3 lbs within days of dropping back to induction & under 30g carbs. So that's my plan & good luck to everyone . Congrats on on your losses. Stay strong & positive. We all have lost a lot in 4 months. I have lost 50 lbs in 4 months, since I started in August & I owe a lot to the support of this group. Everyone needs to give themselves a pat on the back for how far we have come since this summer

...140s here I come!!!!! (...well after New Years, I will go back to Induction...who knows, I may even aim for the ultimate of 130 which was my college weight, but one step at a time. I am enjoying myself for now and will take the hit of 1-3 lb gain)

Just got back. I was a very bad boy this weekend. I had drinks which lead to food. The stress just caught up. So back on plan in the morning. I also have the added stress of the in-laws in town from VA. Dinner with them tonight, first time I have seen them since the announcement of the possible end of my marriage. But trying, not trying going to be very nice and sweet.

I tried to limit the damage this weekend with the food cheat. I avoided cokes and the desert tray, so a small win. I brought along sugar free candies and nuts to appease my sweet tooth and that worked. I did however eat chicken and waffles it was very good. One of my favorite things. So got it all eaten, now back on plan. Not mad at myself at all just happy to be getting back on plan. Hoping tonight with the in-laws will go well.

Will catch up with post and see you guys later.

Kemp, you know, I think the biggest thing here is that you're not throwing in the towel. You took a weekend off. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. Just a couple of measly little days. In the past, you would have let that completely derail you and thrown in the towel. The fact that you aren't doing that is a big victory in my book.
