Hey guys, Sorry for being so late in posting, again! i need to do this earlier in the evening. I hope everyone is doing well, and staying warm, snug, and on plan!

December Progress:
12/01 219.4
12/02 218.8
12/03 218.4
12/04 217.8
12/05 217.4
12/06 216.2
12/07 215.8
12/08 215.6
12/09 215.0
12/10 214.2
12/11 213.8
12/12 212.6
12/13 212.2
12/14 212.0
12/15 212.4

No change in amounts of food, or how I'm making it. I did however exercise way later than I normally do. Maybe that's why I'm up a little? Oh well, it will come off eventually.

Does exercise in the evening versus morning really make a difference? I am totally willing to switch to mornings!!! I usually exercise between 7-8pm.

I usually exercise first thing when I wake up on an empty stomach. I'm not sure if it really makes a difference in the long run, but i am up a little, was having consistent losses this month, and that was the only difference in my routine.

Gypsy: Nice to see that fresh, smiling face first thing in the morning. Very cute pic. I actually read that exercise before breakfast burns off stored fat directly as there are no calories to burn prior to the stored stuff. I guess it makes sense but can't say 100% if that's true or not??
While I'm on here..... digital scales...... do they go past .9?? What I mean is if the scale says .5 then that's 1/2 lb rather than .8?? Do you know what I mean??

Ava: Nice job. I wished my numbers looked like yours. Nice!!

Hi my little ray of sunshine: You're probably right about the veggies and perhaps a little water retention from the bacon. No worries! Don't be bummed.

Running late today worked out a little to long this morning. Up almost three pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was in ketosis all weekend!!!!!! How can this be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If drinking a 9 drinks over the course of 48 hours then this is crazy. I know I ran 10 miles yesterday, so body may be holding on for some muscle repair. But I give up. If every time I enjoy life a little I am going to gain 3 fricking pounds then I give up!!!!!!!!! I work way to hard for things like this to happen. It is just not possible...... I am burning 2600-4000 more calories every day of the week than I take in. I give up. The stats:

December Goal 225

Dec. 01…240.2(starting the month up 1.4 pounds awesome!!!!)
Dec. 02…238.2 (after a 3 mile run???)
Dec. 03…237.6 (think stall is broken)
Dec. 04…236.0
Dec. 05…235.4
Dec. 06…235.0
Dec. 07…233.0 (whoosh again!!!) so happy
Dec. 08…233.6
Dec. 09…DNW
Dec. 10…231.6
Dec. 11…231.4
Dec. 12…230.0
Dec. 13…229.6
Dec. 14…DNW
Dec. 15…230.0 (paid the price for drinking)
Dec. 16…232.6

Good morning all,

Bonny - Yes tomatoes are induction friendly. They are higher in carb and cause inflammation, which is not good for me right now with my spine. They are consider night shade veggies. I just love them though, but they definitely cause me problems with swelling and water retention.

Shelly - I am right there with you girl.
Gypsy - very cute picture
Ava - you're doing awesome
Kemp - sorry no more puppies

Goal = 158

Weights:
Dec 1 - 166
Dec 2 - 167
Dec 3 - 168
Dec 4 - 167
Dec 5 - 168.5 (tom)
Dec 6 - 169.5 (tom stopped)
Dec 7 - 167.5

Dec 13 - 167.5 (tom)

Shelly: Thanks, I have calm down now. I am not giving up. I was literally shocked to see that weight so high. If I knew it was going to be that high I would have had some cookies and taco bell. When I fall off I usually gain about 3 pounds. But all I did was drink a few drinks, Never even left ketosis. But I know it is just water. I hope I will be able to run in the morning, and if I can get that in then maybe it will whoosh back off as fast as it whooshed on to my big butt.

Sorry I haven't been on since Saturday. Right after I posted, I got a call from my mom - my dad had passed out and ambulance was on its way. I had to rush to my moms and got there as they were putting him on the gurney. He's in the hospital which is where I am posting from. still haven't found the reason but narrowed it down to two possibilities - reaction to blood pressure med or heart issue. Running more tests today. Any Christians, I ask for prayers for him; others please wish him well.

If I miss anyone, lease accept my apologies. I will try to get back on again later tonite.

Trini - Love the new pic.

Gypsy, You look good with the short hair. Love it!

Kemp - I hope your heel gets better and doesn't stop you from running the marathon.

Bonny, good whoosh.

Laura, at least it's going down again.

Rockin - You are doing Awesome!

189......4 lbs of damage due to two weekends of eating off plan. I can see what would happen if I took a whole week off or even a month. I really only have to get through Christmas day and then there will be no more baking and no more parties.

Sorry to hear you frustration. We can certainly all relate. Good thing is you've had more fun in the last couple of months then I've had in the last couple years. LOL. Seriously though, it seems that once you get past 12, all our "fun" has some sort of pay day, whether it's on the scale or suffering a raging hangover.
It seems like all the good things in life are either: Immoral, Illegal or Fattening so sometimes life does get in the way of our objectives. I'm trusting we will see some good numbers in a few days.

You are a WARRIOR, Kemp and I know you will overcome this and carry on!!
Take care, bud!!

Bonny-jean: Thanks for that. I will survive. I am now more worried about my heel not allowing me to run. I will know at 430 am in the morning. If I can run then, then just maybe I can make it to the Half. I am dying however just walking around at work. I am a custom home builder so I walk around and up and down stairs a lot. It has not stopped, hoping one more night of rest will get it done. Cheers and thanks again for the support.

Morning workouts burn the most fat!

My trainer friend gave me the following advice:...morning workouts on an empty stomach, for at least 30 minutes will burn the most fat and produce the most weight loss. The body is purely using stored fat to fuel the workout. Plus, this revs up your metabolism for the rest of the day. Evening workouts are also effective in fat burning, only if you workout at least 5 hours after your last meal. Working out in the evenings, after you have been eating all say, does nothing more than burn off what you ate & there will be no weight loss."

I follow this sage advice & workout first thing in the morning at 5am, right after I brush my teeth. It's tough, getting up that early, but love the results. I do a 30-45 min exercise DVD or power walk with 8lb ankle weights for 3 miles.
I am averaging 4-5 lbs loss a week! Without my morning workout, I only lose 1 or 2 lbs.

On the days I absolutely cannot do my morning workout, I eat lunch at 12pm, then nothing else until after my 7pm workout.

Skinny: I like what you said here. I am up at 430 every day doing a workout 7 days a week. I ran 10 miles on and empty stomach Sunday morning burning 1785 calories according to my HR monitor. But still managed to gain 2.65 pounds over night!!!! I know it is just water weight. You are correct I have heard that many times that am workouts are the best before eating anything. I have averaged about the same weight loss doing that time.

Zico Coconut Water is a secret elixir used by many athletes or models to drop water weight. It has 11g carbs in the whole bottle, but I drink 1/2 bottle (5g carbs) and "it works"...stay close to a bathroom. I usually notice a 1-2 lbs loss after I drink it, every other day.

I'm gonna guess a 1.5 lb overnight loss showing on the scale tomorrow. Today was my 1/2 day off work for xmas personal use. I waited till the warmest day since October. It's -1C or 31+F. Wow, it's like a heat wave here! I came home and insulated the back door. Then proceeded to shovel the 14 x 20 deck but only did 3/4 as my wild bunnies are under it so I want to keep them insulated and yes, I know they have fur!! LOL.
Then into the garage to try to get the snowblower going and because it's so warm here it wasn't the ordeal it usually is. Seems my old dog doesn't want to do her business in the deep snow so she's going only where I shoveled. Eewww!! Must have done 1/2 the back yard and made a path from the front door to the back, then cleaned the neighbor's driveway and sidewalk. Whew!! I'm bushed and haven't sweat that much since......... well, I don't remember.LOL
Can't wait to see what tomorrow morning brings.
Drink that water and STAY THIRSTY MY FRIENDS (gotcha Kemp)

Missy, I will keep your dad in my thoughts and wish him the best. Medical issues are always scary!

Skinny, thanks for the info! I will be switching to mornings for my routine!

I didn't weigh in today because as soon as I brushed my teeth and threw on some clothes, I was out the door. Today was my mom's moving day to her new apartment! Even though she hired movers, I still moved a ton of boxes and furniture today. One of the guys saw me pick up a 6 foot tall bookcase and carry it across the living room to see if it would fit in a particular spot. He offered me a job! Ha, no thanks, buddy!

Gypsy: That's quite a feat impressing professional movers!! Good for you. Fingers crossed for a good scale day for you tomorrow.
