December goals: Arm weights every other day, crunches everyday. Weight goal is a very aggressive 159.anything!

December 1: 170.2 (arm weights/crunches)
December 2: 168.8 Whoosh! (crunches)
December 3: 168 (arm weights/crunches)
December 4: 168.4...not sure what that little blip is about, maybe I inhaled too much powdered sugar??? (crunches)
December 5: 167.8 Yay! I inhaled less powdered sugar than the day before! (arm weights/crunches)
December 6: No weigh in. I only had about 4 1/2 hours of sleep and I know my weight won't be accurate. (crunches)
December 7: 167.4 (arm weights/crunches)
December 8: 167.4 (crunches)
December 9: 167.2 GRRRR (arm weights/crunches)
December 10: 166 FINALLY! (crunches)
December 11: 165.2 YAY! (arm weights/crunches)
December 12: 164.4 (crunches)
December 13: 164.2 (arm weights/crunches)

As I said, for dinner last night I had my version of OG's Zuppa Toscana (substituting cauliflower for the potatoes) and made some pretty blah flax bread (the recipe says no net carbs and is 12 servings), I had a 1/2 serving of the bread, but I really couldn't figure out the number of carbs for about 1 1/2 cups of soup (sausage, bacon, kale, chicken broth, 1 onion in recipe, quart of heavy cream, garlic). I had only been at 4.5 carbs prior to having dinner.

I did have a little loss, so I'm not going to complain. I really didn't get enough sleep (about 5 1/2 hours). If I don't get a good 8 hours in, I notice it on the scale. Lots of soup leftover, but I'm not eating it. I love having crusty French bread with it, but of course I left it for the kiddos. I still wish to be buried in a baguette when my time on earth is over though!

Been a busy crazy day, had my hair highlighted and cut and eyebrows waxed, dropped my daughter off at the movies, ran out of wiper fluid and had to put it in the filthy car (too cold to actually wash it, the doors would freeze shut), and went to my mom's house to help her pack up her house (my 5th trip out to her place in the boonies in the last 8 days). She's finally moving back into town and is thrilled to bits about it. Got in my arm weights and crunches routine.

Well off to go out with another couple. I know I will be drinking so I hope I stay on plan. Then deer hunting in the morning so will not be checking in till late tomorrow. Going to have to work out late tomorrow also. Hope I have the energy. Tonight is a very nice steakhouse and seafood place. Hoping they have a seabass. Been super hungry all day, so may just get a steak. I know I will run it off Sunday. Looking forward to that drink.

Good evening all. I am having a change in thirst currently, and I don't know if that means something significant or if it's just my body finally being keto adapted after months of LCing. Also that weird feeling in my mouth is finally going away, and I'm not having the metallic taste anymore either. Today so far, and yesterday I haven't experienced the massive need to drink loads of water. Usually I feel really thirsty all the time and don't have the worry of not taking enough water. Should I still be aiming for as much water as I can, or do you think 64oz will be enough to keep me hydrated?

kemp, pink, MissG, Mther, Gypsy, Ava - Nice losses!

pcalt, at least your staying the same and not gaining. I seem to always gain at tom. Keep at it and you will start losing again.

Lase, Do whatever you think is right for you. Many of us here stay on induction for long periods or go back and forth to induction as needed.

Krista, Once you get over the stress, you'll most likely start losing again. Stress has a nasty habit of keeping our weight up.

Ava, I went through the same thing about a month in, I just stopped making myself drink so much and only drink when I want to. So far, so good.

I had a nice evening tonite. My husband and I went to his work's Christmas party at the boss' house. I brought my lc pizza and surprisingly there was other nc and lc food I could eat. So stayed on plan. Children were allowed to come and several brought their kids. We didn't bring our dd because she always spends Friday nights with her gps. John and I haven't drank in over 10 years. He got a cup of punch - sure enough it was spiked punch. Then before we could stop them, one of the parents got a cup for their child and the girl said it tasted funny. Both cups were quickly poured out. Overall though it was a nice evening.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! We will be busy tomorrow helping my brother lay wood flooring in his living room and then auction and candlelight service tomorrow night. Stay warm and healthy!

Mjgh the party sounds fun! Glad there was food there for you to eat!
Avaleigh i'd drink as much water as you feel you need. Somedays I feel like I could drink a pond full and others not so much.
Going to Olive Garden tomorrow for lunch for my nephews birthday. Don't like OG Before LC and hard to think of what to eat, Thanks Avaleigh for Googling OG and getting me ideas!! It's really hard to read menus online etc from my phone. But i'll do the best i can cause I love my nephew and want to celebrate with him.

No problem While you are there and waiting for your table you can request all of their nutrition information before you guys are seated so you can look over the full menu for your particular OG.

It had gotten so much longer than my avatar picture. I tend to have baby fine hair that doesn't behave and I am severally styling product impaired. I can't figure out products or hair dryers or straightening irons! My sister was blessed with beautiful thick hair that looks lovely long. And she knows how to use products!

I have had very short to very long hair in my life, but I was never so happy as I was to get that mop all cut off. And maybe I lost a pound because of it! I doubt I'll ever go long again.

Morning all,

Off to go shopping this am and get some food in my house. Yah..... Still the same. Sort of laughing at this now, but nothing I can do. Went to a party last night and ate some shrimp and ham only, plus water. Was good. I know I am on plan so I should be losing even a little. I guess my body is rebelling this month. Oh well I will stay strong and keep going. Eggs for breakfast, chicken for lunch and LC pizza for dinner tonight. It's Saturday so I will have wine with hubby and a movie so excited

Goal = 158

Weights:
Dec 1 - 166
Dec 2 - 167
Dec 3 - 168
Dec 4 - 167
Dec 5 - 168.5 (tom)
Dec 6 - 169.5 (tom stopped)
Dec 7 - 167.5
Dec 8 - 167.5 (tom)

Well, you're welcome Shell, and it's true!! Pan fried... okay, I thought maybe you had one of those indoor grills or something. I miss my BBQ. It's right outside but it's been so darn cold here. We have a warm day coming Monday, like about 15F so that's warm here. Have to put some door insulation on and maybe bbq some chicken breasts.

Good Morning Everyone! It sounds like everyone has a great day planned! Makes me a little bummed to be sitting here at work!

I have to share with you all what happened yesterday. One of the radio reps that handles our radio advertising account came in and brought me a big tub full of something. It was a red tub, so I didn't know what was in it. After he left, I opened it, and it was stuffed full of cookies. I just took one quick look at them, and put the lid back on, but it was long enough that I got a really good whiff of them. I have to tell you, that is the closest I have come to giving in to temptation in a REALLY long time. It was almost overwhelming. Then last night, I dreamt that I had taken a whole day and eaten everything I wanted to. I know that the dream had to be because of the smell of the cookies. It was just amazing to me how much power that food can sometimes have. Almost 10 full months on plan, and 1 quick smell of cookies can almost derail me. I'm proud to say that I was stronger than the pull of the cookies and didn't cave, but it threw me for a loop to realize how much it affected me.

Shelly, NICE Whoosh!!!! YAY!!!! How do you like cooking in a cast iron skillet? I've often thought about getting one, I know it's supposed to be healthy to cook in one, but I'm afraid everything will stick. How do you avoid that?

PC, I know you're due for a big Whoosh! It sucks holding steady, but it's better than going up. Hang in there and enjoy the evening with you hubby!

Kemp, hope you're having a great time! Good job on keeping your food on plan during a night out!

Gypsy, you're gorgeous!! I too have baby fine hair and I absolutely hate it. I never know what to do with it. It just wants to hang there. BLEH!

Back for a week...

Hi y'all!

Checking in.

Been about 6 weeks since my surgery. Maintaining. Just got back to Zumba class last week. Decided to do a 2 week fat fast- so

December 3: 168 (arm weights/crunches)

December 5: 167.8 Yay! I inhaled less powdered sugar than the day before! (arm weights/crunches)
December 6: No weigh in. I only had about 4 1/2 hours of sleep and I know my weight won't be accurate. (crunches)
December 7: 167.4 (arm weights/crunches)
December 8: 167.4 (crunches)
December 9: 167.2 GRRRR (arm weights/crunches)
December 10: 166 FINALLY! (crunches)
December 11: 165.2 YAY! (arm weights/crunches)
December 12: 164.4 (crunches)
December 13: 164.2 (arm weights/crunches)
December 14: 163.4 (crunches)

I really would like to thank all of you for being inspirations to me. Just feeling like I am accountable to all of you helps keep me on track. When I "officially" restarted on the 1st of this month, I went back to keeping a food journal like I kept when I had such great success last year. I write down all my food, carbs, vitamins, any exercise I did that day, how many cups of green tea, water intake. That I am accountable to all of you and to that little notebook are helping me have a very good December!

Back from hunting. Had my three beers, and pork rinds and bacon. So still good on the food. Have another party tonight that should be drink free. If not then another beer or two. The 10 mile run I have in the morning should drop me right back into ketosis. I have checked and although not out of ketosis, very light pink.

Will catch up later.
