Just fill your ziploc baggy with her cookies and you'll be skinny in no time. Sounds like you wouldn't be tempted to pig out!! Sorry, you make me laugh!!

GYPSY: Wow......... 1/2 a day!!! Are you just doing arm work and crunches?? That's it? Really??? That's incredible. What a good job you're doing! Maybe you have to challenge that man of yours to weekly weigh-ins or something?

I do bicep curls, overhead triceps, shoulder presses, lateral raises with 5 lb dumbbells every other day. And crunches every day. My arms are definitely more defined already (I guess my muscles remember that they're there pretty quickly)! I do crunches everyday. I did start adding heel lifts and squats this week. I should probably do some lunges, but I know I'd fall over if I did!

I did a 30 minute walk once this month, but it's been pretty bitter outside. Most of our stuff is packed as we're moving in about 3 weeks and I don't have space to do any DVDs. I would like to try a yoga DVD sometime. Once we're in Florida, we will be walking a lot more.

Tonight I made my version of Zuppa Toscana (way better than Olive Garden's) and substituted mashed cauliflower for the potatoes. Very yummy. I also baked some flax bread. I baked some last year and it was pretty blah. I added some more spice and used 1/3 of a cup of bacon drippings for the oil in the recipe. Better, but still blah. I hope the scale is kind to me tomorrow, but will (try) to understand if it isn't. Only at 4.5 after lunch and breakfast. Fingers crossed for tomorrow!

OMG, you crack me up, girl.

What a great job you're doing and while trying to pack and move such a great distance. Wow! Florida is gonna be such a nice change. Your weather is milder than ours, of course but it can get pretty cold there, too. Thanks for telling me your routine. KUTGW.

I am home finally. Long day. Looks like you guys had a chatty day. I stayed on plan today. I cannot wait till after the half marathon so I can start my OWL. I know I will eat at will in cayman, but will be right back on the day before we leave. I want to run the marathon on zero carbs to prove people wrong!!!!!!!!

I love to see all the exercise talk. They say it does not speed up losses but it sure dont hurt!!!

Bonny: way to get right back on plan.

Gypsy: You are getting it done in the workout department. KUTGW

Speaking of marathon (Trillex or anybody) What should be my morning meal, what is my mid half marathon snack. Do I just not eat. My trainer is telling me that I have to have a gu pack full of carbs for quick energy. I am lost please help!?!?!?!?!?

Oh and I have a old heel injury flaring up. Hope it does not cost me the marathon. I have been so gentle on my feet due to previous injury's but this morning it really hurt. It is the side of the heel so my be ok. I have s short 3 miler in the morning with interval training so will know then. I pray I am not going to have to quit running.

Kemp, when my daughter and her husband ran the half marathon last month, they had gel packs that were pure protein and either no carb or very little carb. They loved them! They said that you could really feel it kick in.

There's one called Muscle Gel that has 2 carbs, no sugar, and 22 grams of protein. I don't think that's the one that they used though.

I'll let you know when I hear back from her.

Kemp, there's a lot of info on the web about the myth of carb loading before a marathon. My 5ks that I did don't compare to the 1/2 marathon that you are doing, but I just ate a normal breakfast and had plenty of energy. I would bet that the protein gel packs that Mthergoose mentioned would be great during the race for when you need that extra boost. I love the talk of exercising too. Maybe it doesn't help you drop the weight, but it certainly helps change the shape of your body.

DairyQueen, glad to see you posting and glad things are still going well with the beau!

Laura, where are you? Can't wait to hear what new recipes you've been cooking up!

BulldogMom: Take your time getting back on the scale. Stay strong.

Trini: Nice loss! I hope you catch a break from being so busy soon!

Missy: great downward trend! Keep it up! You will be in the 160s and out of them in no time.

Kemp: Maintaining beastmode as usual! Nice drop!

Bonny-Jean: Don't get discouraged. That weight will come right back off. If you want to start exercising, give that little bike I have a look. It is really gentle exercise, but does the trick! I got mine from walmart. Marcy ME-709 recumbant bike.

Lase88: Grats on your loss!

pcaltman: Hold on, and stay strong!

Gyspy: Nice loss!

princess:
Keep at it! annnd I hope you have SOME food left after company leaves! lol

DQ: Nice to see you!

MtherGoos: Every time I see your post, your stats just blow me away. They keep me extremely motivated.

Ava: You are doing great. congrats on the 40 pounds down. I am right behind you only 2.6 pounds till I reach the 40 pound mark.

This was the morning that made the difference. I did not want to get out of bed. It took every ounce of my being to do the run this morning. After stretching I wanted to just say get back in bed. I force myself to go out the door. 5 steps into my 3 mile run I wanted to turn around and go back to bed. I force myself to run and it was not a easy run. My body was screaming to stop, but we got it done. The last mile I was flying and was so happy I stuck to my training. And was rewarded with getting into the 229's!!!!!!!!!! Going out to dinner tonight with great friend so I know I will be having a few cocktails. No food cheats but will not deny myself the drinks. Just going to do liquor which has not carbs and count the calories. We are going to a very nice place here in town, so will be getting seafood to be low calorie and low carb. So off to work.
The stats:

December Goal 225

Dec. 01…240.2(starting the month up 1.4 pounds awesome!!!!)
Dec. 02…238.2 (after a 3 mile run???)
Dec. 03…237.6 (think stall is broken)
Dec. 04…236.0
Dec. 05…235.4
Dec. 06…235.0
Dec. 07…233.0 (whoosh again!!!) so happy
Dec. 08…233.6
Dec. 09…DNW
Dec. 10…231.6
Dec. 11…231.4
Dec. 12…230.0
Dec. 13…229.6

Frustrated!!

I was so relieved yesterday when I finally dropped weight . I ate the exact amount of carbs fat and protein yesterday and I am back to where I was. I will not give up because I do feel better and I am not hungry.
Sunday will be 2 weeks on induction. Should I stay there longer? I think to break this resistance to the weight loss that I should .

Well I have just made the decision to stop obsessing about my weight loss. I was trying so hard to get down before we leave for Mexico that it was literally keeping me up and nights and causing me a great deal of stress. (which Iím an emotional eater so Iím sure you can guess what came next!)
My clothes fit just fine and Iíve never had the Ďbeach bodyí anyway, that 10lbs I canít seem to lose isnít going to give it to me.. Time to stop worrying about it.
Decided Iím going to get regular exercise back into my routine as well to help cut out some stress and just let the pounds drop how they want to.
Also excited to start a juice reboot on Sunday to reset my system due to some digestive issues Iíve been having lately, looking forward to feeling better again and not so bogged down!
All is Bright!
Happy Weekend All!

Cudabear: I use to stress so much if I did not lose every day, and I still do a little. But if I fall off, this go round, I just get right back on and don't stress. I head to cayman in 17 days. I wanted to be under 220, that will be 9.8 pounds in those 17 days, if I don't make it no worries, will get it off when I get home. Honestly I am killing myself to get there but it is a labor of love! LOL One thing is for sure I will not be 270 pounds I will be close to 50 pounds less. Have a great trip and enjoy yourself!!!

Good Morning Everyone! Such an inspiring group this morning! Lots of nice losses!

I haven't been on the scale in a few days, but I got on today and was down almost 2 pounds! Yay! It's always nice to have a pleasant surprise!

Miss G, Nice Whoosh! Great way to head into the weekend!

Kemp, Congratulations! That's Awesome! My daughter doesn't remember the brand name of the protein gel pacs that they used, but she's going to the store this weekend, so she'll let me know. They were pure protein, no sugar added. I'll let you know as soon as I hear more from her.

Laura, you're definitely not starting over, it was just a little blip in the road. You're still doing an amazing job!

Lase, I've been on induction for 10 months, so stay on it as long as you'd like. I plan to stay on it until I'm about to goal.

Avaleigh your stats this month are Rocking It! You're doing great!

Avaleigh, Congratulations on shedding 40 lbs! You've been doing so well with your losses!

MissyDee, you're still doing great!

Kemp, Congratulations on getting to the 220s! Have fun tonight!

pcaltman, it is frustrating when that scale doesn't move because of our hormones. Don't let it derail you. You can get through this!

Lase88, I've pretty much been on induction since I started though I do have days here and there where I eat more carbs than allowed. I lose better if I stay at less carbs and just stick to induction legal foods.

PinkCadillac, You're doing great!

Shelly, Chili sounds good! Don't sweat too much over the gain. You needed to eat and chili is legal!

Laura, your dinner sounds good! Glad your back on track today. Getting sidetracked seems to happen to the best of us. But since this is a lifelong way of eating for us, then its all good as long as we hop back on the train.

Cudabear, good post. I was getting a bit obsessed over numbers as well so I'm putting the scale away until Monday. I don't know if I can go longer than that.

Still not getting on the scale until Monday. That's hard for me but I think necessary. I really should just wait until January 2nd before getting on the scale. I'm avoiding so many parties and events at the moment because all I can do is stress over whether I'll have food there to eat and will I stay on plan, will any of it cause a gain in the morning, etc etc. I just need to enjoy the moment. If I have a bite of something, enjoy the bite and stop stressing.
