I make breakfast for dinner all the time! Love a nice omelet in the evening! If I am really nice, I make pancakes for the kids and smell the maple syrup!

Oh Gypsy, that smell is a tough one! On Monday mornings we always go out to breakfast. I get the bacon and eggs, with avocado instead of potatoes and a pancake. The pancake comes home to our dogs. But the smell of the fresh pancake with butter and warm syrup is so YUMMY! LOL

Everyone is doing such a great job! I'm hoping your losses rub off on me. I think my head is back in the game though. I had to make oreo cookie balls, chocolate chip cookies and then pack lunches with Doritos. Not one taste....nothing. As soon as dough got on my hands, I immediately washed them off. There was a Christmas party tonight but I opted to skip it just in case I wasn't strong enough to handle it. I can't believe its 2 weeks until Christmas and I haven't even done half the things I need to do!

Good evening all. I hope everyone is doing well tonight.

December Progress:
12/01 219.4
12/02 218.8
12/03 218.4
12/04 217.8
12/05 217.4
12/06 216.2
12/07 215.8
12/08 215.6
12/09 215.0
12/10 214.2
12/11 213.8

I'm getting so excited to hit 40 lbs lost. I googled "Things that weigh 40lbs" and here is what I found! (I was curious after Missy posted that awesome list a while back)

Here are some random things that weigh 40 lbs:
a 15-foot canoe
a 3-year-old child
an average human leg
a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier
five gallons of water

In a few days, hopefully, I would have expelled one of those items from my body-mass! A 15 ft canoe lol.

Bulldog, Wow, you did GREAT!

Ava, your losses are Wonderful! Isn't it amazing what we are actualy losing? I always think every pound lost is a tub of butter. That's a lot of butter.

Bonny here's my LC Bearnaise recipe and it's really simple: (Notice it has hwc ) I have lots of hwc recipes now.

1tsp tarragon
1tsp parsley
1/4tsp salt
1 pinch dry mustard
1 pinch cayenne
1/4c butter
1tsp minced onion
1tbl red or white wine vinegar
2 egg yolks
2tbs hwc
1 1/2 tsp lemon juice

Melt butter in bowl in microwave. In another bowl mix onion, vinegar, yolks, cream and lemon. stir in spices. Pour in butter and stir well. Microwave for 1 1/2 mins stirring every 20-30 secs. (may need longer to thicken depending on microwave.)

BulldogMom: great job on resisting. That had to be hard. My son just baked some peanut butter cookies and I succumbed and ate 1/2 of one. Oh well, no shock if the scale doesn't move for a couple of days. I just couldn't say no to that face!! Poor excuse, I know. Hmm, that's a "twofer" today. 'Kay, nuff of that!!

[QUOTE=Trinigirl;16711422][QUOTE=Trinigirl;16710387][QUOTE=Trinigirl;16705226]Happy happy December....love this time of the year.

Goal 135lbs..
So my goal is somewhat to maintain the loss..
I,m sticking with induction foods until Christmas time for sure.

1st December 136lbs had too much bacon yesterday feel bloated today.
2nd. December 135lbs
3rd. December 135lbs
4th. December 134lbs
8th. December 133lbs
9th. December 133lbs
11th. December 132lbs

I'm so sorry guys but I can't seem to catch up with the group. I really thought that my fall winter months would be more laid back in the 17 years I,be been here this is my busiest time ever.,I'm working three days a week at the newspaper and the other five days at my friend,s shop while t my off times helping out with the livestock at the farm, and housework.. so I,m swamped, the good thing is that we needed the extra money and I,m o busy its easy to keep on track on my eating plan. I,be been Slow cooking meat stews met and veg and my husband cooks the carbs of the day. So it works I,m not on real induction as I do eat tons veg, even like squash, carrots, beans etc home growled and frozen, I,m back to eating plain Greek yogurt and fruit, we can fruit this summer and it an easy snack, but I,m so busy and the jobs are physical so I,m moving all the time and as I said before made easier by the weight loss..
I miss you guys please bare with me it will settle down a bit and the shop o I should be able to post more.
I know everyone is going really well here on the thread..keep to your eating plan even with busy daily lives, the ups and downs the frustration of the yoyo scale wars, the up coming Christmas activities with includes many higher carb foods and drink...you all have stayed the course, getting back on the horse every day, what wonderful gift to ourselves, a gift of the best health..
My mother all says that everyday we should treat yourself like a guest, when we have guest in our home we offer them the best of everything we can afford, but we do the opposite o our selves.,,so let all make a pact to treat ourselves like a first rate guest at a first rate hotel
Be good to yourselves.
Cheers.

I hung almost all my lights tonight so that is a weight off. Have a 5 mile run in the morning at 430 am. Have a early meeting so have to get the run in really early. I hope to see a drop on the scale although I will have to weight about 30 minutes earlier than normal. I want the 220's so bad I can taste it!!!

Ta Missy!!!! I copied the Russian dressing one that she claims tastes the most like catalina. I really appreciate that, really!! It sure would take me back to my bbq'd ribs floating in Catalina and a nice steak covered in bearnaise... oh yum! Just a little touch of heaven there. Thanks, you're a peach!!

HA YES!! Imagine someone smuggling around a 15ft canoe in their jeans.

Missy, a tub of butter at a time for every pound is awesome to think about. Looking forward to losing tubs, and dogs, and boats in the future!

Wow, you're killing it Kemp but man, you work hard!! Biggest Loser has nothing on you that's for sure.
Looks like all my bad choices showed up on the scale this morning. I was in a bit of a funk and this bitter cold didn't help. I was bad and paid for it with my first gain in 12 wks. Up 1 lb but enough is enough. Obviously I have to start moving the body. I got my head wrapped around changing my WOE and now I have to wrap it around exercising. Time to give it a go, I guess. Hope you're all doing better.

Day 12 of induction and finally saw a loss!! 193.5 today down a total of 5.5 lbs. I really was wondering if all the years of yo yo dieting has destroyed my body forever!! I have been under 5 carbs daily and upped my fat and lowered my protein and it seems to have worked. Thank you Missy for the tips.

What is low carb gravy?

Hi all,

Was happy that I didn't gain on the scale. I have been very good, but these hormones are something else. Will keep doing it. Hubby fell hard off the wagon and I keep yelling at him (well not really just comments here and there). He tells me it's Christmas and he wants to have fun and eat what he wants too. Oh well. I told him I guess I am doing this on my own then. I did explain he can have a good Christmas Eve and Christmas (2 cheat days) but needs to keep the rest 100% on board. He must have thought about it last night because this morning he said he was back 100% with me Peer pressure got to love it

Goal = 158

Weights:
Dec 1 - 166
Dec 2 - 167
Dec 3 - 168
Dec 4 - 167
Dec 5 - 168.5 (tom)
Dec 6 - 169.5 (tom stopped)
Dec 7 - 167.5
Dec 8 - 167.5 (tom)
Dec 9 - 169.5 (tom)
Dec 10 - 168 (tom)
Dec 11 - 167.5 (tom)

Thanks Bonny-Jean! Eating 1/2 of one is an accomplishment! Aside from recents events, I think even on my "bad" days, I'm still doing a lot better than I was a year ago. So 1/2 a cookie versus a handful of cookies is something to be proud of!

Trinigirl, Awesome job! I won't be surprised to see you in the 120s!

pcaltman, I hate hormones! I think that is what has thrown me off. Good job on giving some tough love to your dh and getting him back on plan.

Kemp, Wow!!! You're doing great!

Lase88, Congrats on the loss! What you are doing is what a lot of us are having to do. Glad you found a solution to get that scale moving again.

Bonny-Jean, Hang in there! We'll both get that scale moving downwards again. Tis the season for temptations!

MissyDee, You're going to be in the 160s soon! You're amazing!

Avaleigh, Great losses! Hard to believe how much 40 lbs can equal.

Thanks for the support everybody! Still not getting on the scale. I think I had too many veggies this morning but not going to beat myself I over veggies. I ate some fajitas minus the wrap for breakfast. And I'll have my breakfast for dinner since I had forgotten to thaw out the bacon.

December goals: Arm weights every other day, crunches everyday. Weight goal is a very aggressive 159.anything!

December 1: 170.2 (arm weights/crunches)
December 2: 168.8 Whoosh! (crunches)
December 3: 168 (arm weights/crunches)
December 4: 168.4...not sure what that little blip is about, maybe I inhaled too much powdered sugar??? (crunches)
December 5: 167.8 Yay! I inhaled less powdered sugar than the day before! (arm weights/crunches)
December 6: No weigh in. I only had about 4 1/2 hours of sleep and I know my weight won't be accurate. (crunches)
December 7: 167.4 (arm weights/crunches)
December 8: 167.4 (crunches)
December 9: 167.2 GRRRR (arm weights/crunches)
December 10: 166 FINALLY! (crunches)
December 11: 165.2 YAY! (arm weights/crunches)
December 12: 164.4 (crunches)

I feel very positive, but getting worried with Christmas coming. We are doing Christmas with my husband's family on the 21st and then later that day we are attending the wedding of two dear friends. I am actually not worried about the sweets that day (again, sisters-in laws' crummy cookies ). And I have confirmed that several dishes at the family gathering will be LC. The wedding is a bit of an issue. I'll try to do my eating earlier in the day (and keep a ziploc baggy of goodies in my purse in case I get hungry). The bride has a problem with gluten, so I know there will be a lot of stuff that isn't made with flours. She is really sweet and tries to give me treats that are gluten-free. The problem is that they're usually loaded with sugars. I keep trying to explain (kindly) that sugars are the real issue for me!

And then there's Christmas day. I would like to indulge a bit, but I am making such great progress that I hate to go overboard that day and then pay for it for the next week or two. Junior's Cheesecake (they're online), makes a low-carb cheesecake (3.2 carbs per slice-made with xylitol). It is phenomenal. My DH, DD, and I tried it when we made a fun trip to NYC last month. It is delicious. I am thinking of ordering 1 or 2 of them for Christmas Day. Maybe I'll just pick my 3 favorite cookies and have 1 of each and call it a day. Anyone have any ideas or strategies about how they're planning to handle the holiday season of eating?

hello everyone!
I had an FDA meeting yesterday -- all day up at 5 and got home at 9:30p. I had one small bag of cracklings all day and some turkey when i got home.
i didn't weigh this morning, cause 1. i woke up late and 2. feet swollen from sitting with ONE bathroom break yesterday. I know, sorry, TMI.
i stocked up on cracklins again today at my little neighborhood gas mart. yeah! regular and spicy!
Missydee -- things are going GREAT with the new boy. amazingly great (knock on wood)
