Bonny I make a buffalo mayo. It's super yummy. I use it on meat and in sauces. I used it tonight to make flat out buffalo chicken pizza. I crisped up the flat out a bit then spread the rest of my made up buffalo mayo on it, topped it with chicken mixed with Frank's hot sauce and butter and then topped the whole thing with cheese. Baked for another 15 minutes and drizzled some ranch on it. Super yummy!!!! If you want to try it the recipe is on my blog.

Up a little but no worries

Kemp, I could never get up at 445am, although some nights I don't go to bed before then....haha.

Bonny, when you buy the mayo read the label - not all mayo is the same and some have other stuff added in giving it carbs. I use kraft. If you use it with salmon try to use fresh or again read the label if canned. I don't know why so many companies add stuff into their products when obviously they don't have to if other companies can do without adding it in. It is crazy. I also use mayo for egg salad and hate tuna now. But I will sometimes use it in place of salad dressing as well - 2tbs mixed into my romaine, shredded cheese and meat chunks.

Laura, you're still doing great!

MissyDee, Your losses are awesome! Great job! I use Kraft mayo as well but not because I'm a label reader or anything. I just like the taste. Now I'm wanting a rotisserie chicken salad.

Kemp, You are a machine! If I could get your motivation, I'd be a stick woman! Where's that pic btw? We haven't forgotten! LOL

Avaleigh, awesome job!

I finally got on the scale for a peek.....it wasn't pretty. Still feeling bloated. I'll make Monday's weight my official weight and will try to stay off the scale until then.

Wow you guys are just doing awesome!
KEMP!! You've lost 9lbs in 11 days!?! Holy Heck!!!
Missy Dee – You must be close to that 15lb goal!?

It's been a pretty rough month so far for me. I have been sick and eating more gluten and carbs than I would like, causing some major stomach issues. Decided I'm going to switch to a Green Juice reboot on Sunday for a full week just to give my system a break. Hopefully this will give me some time to heal and recharge and get me feeling better soon!

Yes Cudabear I am close - 2 more pounds. I know I will make it by the 31st but I don't think I'll make the 165 goal by then. I hope you get to feeling better. Stay away from the carbs! They do you in every time.

Nice drops Bonny, pcalt, and Shelly.

Kemp, we all know that .2 drop means you will have another whoosh pretty soon.

Evil Holiday Temptations!

I love sweets...so the holidays are tough for me.
It's especially hard with small kids, since it would be a sin to deny them nice Christmas cookies & cakes (in moderation, however).
So the other day I was grocery shipping & these Christmas Cupcakes called out to me! Yes, I rationalized that my 3 and 5 year old would love them, but I knew I really wanted them.
So I admit I did indulge and had 2!!
Now, back on track.

Honestly, I do not ever think I will ever give up sweets, but once I reach goal, I will indulge periodically.
I must say that I do now enjoy the taste of food much better, now that I no longer regularly eat sugar, carbs etc.

Hang in there everyone.
Remember, if you do "cheat", get back on track the next day!

Skinny I am jealous of Anyone who can eat carbs and sugar like that and get Right back on track. I know for Me personally it can't happen! With sweets it's an All or Nothing thing. They were/are my addiction! Last time I had sugar (accidently too) I got so sick! Shakey, sweaty, felt like I was going to pass out. So I Know I can't do it. So for Me I have to stay away like it'll Kill me.

Gypsy: nice losses last few days way to go!!1

Missy: I hope I have a whoosh again. but will take anything. Cant wait to break into the 220's. will be a big day for sure for me. I am hoping for 225 by next Friday, at my current pace I should make that. If not no worries I will have tried super hard.

Skinny: I am not in the eat one camp, because that would then lead to taco bell!!! So I take whole days off, get in all my treats and then restart next day.

Next weekend will be tough for me. Will be drinking all weekend with the guys and gals. Not planning any food cheats but will not be mad if I do, like I use to do. I am losing so well right now. Do not want to lose my momentum, have a ten mile run Sunday, so that should keep the scale moving. If I am still dropping next Friday like I am now then who knows!!! But if am in a stall by then, may take a day off just to jumpstart the losses for the final push before Cayman. Almost want a stall!!! LOL so I can cheat!!!LOL but not really.

THANKS FOR ALL THE SUPPORT

Good Morning Everyone! Didn't weigh today or yesterday, I'm hoping to stay off the scale for a few days, I'll see a nice number that will make me happy. Honestly, as long as I stay in the 180's, I'll be happy. I don't want to be back up into the 190's again. I tested my Ketones this morning and they were 3.2, so I know I'm firmly in Ketosis and doing the right things.

Skinny, your ability to get right back on track is amazing! I'm so afraid that I won't have the willpower to do that, that I never go off track. Good for you that you can do that.

Shelly, moving back down! You're doing great!

Gypsy, you're having a great month. Nice drop today!

BulldogMom, don't beat yourself up, just keep moving forward. If the scale is too depressing, just stay off of it and keep doing what you're doing.

Kemp, No stalls! You're doing great, so don't jinx yourself!

Willpower

It is tough to get back on track after "cheating" with carbs. However, I have a photo of myself at my heaviest pinned in my closet & that reminds me I do not want to go back to that size. This is my motivation to "get back on track".

I am not an "all or nothing" person. So I could never completely cut out carbs, sweets. However, now with my new "low carb" way of life, I limit my sweets to special occasions.

Does anybody eat bearnaise sauce?? Packaged or home made?? I love bearnaise but the pkg stuff I used to buy has lots of carbs and now I see lots of chemicals or fake food additives. I'm getting bored of steak without it and ribs without sauce.

BonnyJean, I can't help with that sauce, I don't know what it is. LOL. But if you need a sauce for your ribs, I buy the Guy's Sugar Free BBQ Sauce from Netrition. I order it 6 bottles at a time because my BF goes through so much of it. I make him ribs with it all the time. He also uses it on Pot Roast, Pulled Pork, even the leftover turkey! LOL

Kemp, I don't use them myself. Just because I try to stay as close to no carb as possible. But I use them for my BF, and they don't seem to affect his losses at all. He's pretty much at goal. He's lost 60 pounds since March, doesn't exercise, and has taken quite a few cheat days. And he's 61 now, so he tends to really lose slowly, but the sauces don't seem to affect him one way or the other.

I like the ease of the dry pkg'd bearnaise (like hollandaise) but it has 2 carbs per tsp!! It is so delicious on steaks....mmm. My favorite bbq sauce is Kraft Catellina. Honest to God, it is so good on bbq'd ribs. Like sweet & sour. I find most bbq sauces a little thick for my taste. I found some low carb recipes for bearnaise but sounds like too much work for a lazy cook like me.

chocolates

Oh, forgot to mention that for no reason at all, I grabbed a chocolate from a co-worker and ate half and was ready to toss it but didn't. I ate the whole one inch by half inch piece and when finished realized that wasn't as fulfilling as I had hoped. They had a full Christmas dinner at work and I had a tiny dish of coleslaw and 2 slices of ham (without skin). Hoping I didn't do any damage today.

Shelly - mine just went back to school today, but it was only a half-day. Boy did I get a lot of cleaning done when I finally got them out of the house

Bonny - You are welcome at my house, but it's Turkey again

I get to go shopping Saturday so just need to make it until then. Have no idea what I will make tomorrow. Might just be breakfast for dinner.

Thanks sweetie. Turkey sounds fine. Hmm, never thought of breakfast for dinner. I might just do that now and not eat that breaded chicken breast. Thanks for the idea.
