Nov goal- to weigh 145, setting my goal lower this month, need to lose 5 lbs
Nov 1st- 150lbs

Planning on getting a digital scale soon so I can get a more accurate reading. Buying a new scale makes me real nervous cause I don't want to see a "gain"

I passed my goal of 195 for last month because I played it safe. I'm going to aim for 181 and hope for a couple more. Its strange writing that number because I haven't been in the 180s in over 10 yrs and I mentally still feel like a 200 lb'er.

Nov 1......191.2 (stuck at this for a few days, thinking its hormones and waiting for a whoosh)

Christina: Get the new scale. They weigh so much better, most of the time. My scale has been acting up so I will be getting a new one this week also. If I gain I gain. It is just a new jumping point for a new scale number. Have a great month of weight loss!!!!

Shelly: Thanks for starting thread. Got last minute invite to hunt this weekend, but a 7 hour drive to past Del Rio just does not seem like it is worth it and different group of guys that I know I would drink and most likely have a "plan alteration"(another way of staying CHEATING!!!) So no go, going to stay home and workout instead and go next weekend to my camp an hour away.

Bulldog: Sounds like a good goal for you. We are both trying to lose around 15 pounds. Lets kick this month in the butt and lose some poundage!!!!

Well starting month off with my first day of no loss. Day 12 today so happy being down 12 pounds so far. I knew after losing that much weight that quick this was bound to happen. I think my scale my be on the fritz with this fat guy hurting it every morning! LOL Stepped on it said 257, the 253, then 255 I just said 255 because it is in the middle. Going to go get a new scale this week, because after all I am a touch anal about correct weighing . Here are the stats to start the month.

NOVEMBER GOAL…. 240

Nov. 01…255

I'm going to shake things up a bit and make my goal to fit into the brand new size 7 jeans that are in my closet. I'm wearing the same style in a 9 right now.....

ETA: When I say 'fit' I mean able to wear them out of the house without shaming the hubby with excess muffin top

Anyone have any suggestions on a good scale? I have been looking at BalanceFrom High Accuracy Digital Bathroom Scale and EatSmart Precision Digital Bathroom Scale on amazon. They have pretty good reviews but I have to order them and shipping to Germany sometimes takes forever. The PX is usually where I shop and they have very limited selections. They have a bowflex, WeightWatchers one, and a Taylor brand. Does it really matter are they all about the same???

Kemp we're planning on taking the kids hunting tomorrow. It's the youth hunt weekend here in Arkansas. A friend of ours saw a Huge 10 point running from Our yard across the road towards my Aunt/Uncles property so we're on the lookout for him! Lol! We live In the woods so we've got all kinds of critters around. My cousin heard the mountain lion the other night. They live down the road from us. I'm ready to fill my freezer with some Deer meat!
PF you Will get there girl!

Christina: Not and expert on scales. I would just use the reviews on line to make a decision. I just want one that is very accurate, or as accurate as it can be. I would think the ones you have access to would work. I feel the more money I spend the better it would be, but that is most definitely not the case always. Let me know what you find out. Do you have a bed, bath and beyond store? they have lost of options.

Shelly: I am jealous!!! My in laws live just outside Blacksburg, VA. O.n a huge "farm" that's what they call it anyway. More like a awesome piece of acerage in the blue-ridge mountains. They don't farm anything except hay. Anyway they have and apple orchard that is just full of deer all the time and When we go there on Thanksgiving I plan on shooting a few of those guys and gals again. I am a home builder and all my trade base here in Houston looks forward to me bring home the venison from that trip. I give them tons of meat and they give me HOMEMADE TAMALES!!! Not on the diet but that will be a plan alteration day for sure!!!

My uncle raises cattle on a lot of the land up here. Our family owns the top on this mountain, my Aunt and Uncle, cousin and her family and my Parents live up here near us. Been on this mountain for over 100 yrs. Love it up here! We had a nice albino deer up here a few years ago which I thought was pretty cool. Oh and Bear! Had a cub in the tree outside my daughters bedroom window about 3 years ago.

I am so not a hunter so all of this hunting talk is over my head! But it sounds like you are all excited for it - so have fun and enjoy yourselves!!

The whoosh fairy finally visited me and took a whole pound. Yay! I'll take it. I'm excited to start November with a nice, fresh start.

I'm going to aim for a nice conservative 10 - 235 goal. I'd love to do more, but I'll be happy with anything that puts me in that decade.

Amber: Hunting is almost a genetic gene. The next three months is nirvana for me, hunting, deep sea fishing, the white bass run start of January, The second split of dove season. Man it is good to be a hunter. But forget that crap, I am proud of you for losing a pound. It just took the fairy a while to get there. Way to go. And the goals are set for all of us now lets go get that sucker!!!

Shelly: I love the outdoors, but I love the city also. When we get to the farm I immediately feel awesome. The crack of that first beer, the sounds, it is all awesome. Even more awesome when I do not get winded to unload the car because I am not as fat!! Let me know what you harvest this weekend. I have shot at and missed two mountain lions in my life of hunting. Talk about buck fever!!!!

Goal for November is under 220, we'll have to see how Thanksgiving goes. My wife promised not to make any cookies, that is what killed my journey 3 years ago.

Intention is to get more sleep, aiming to average 7 hours a night. No more staying up to 1 or 2 am playing games or whatever.

Good losing to everybody this month!

There are two November threads. Which one should we use? It seems that it's the same group of people and we just have two "homes."

Kemp - I'm so not outdoorsy. It's like you are speaking a different language.

I'm a gamer too but can't stay up that late anymore. With the colder weather approaching, hoping the kids and I can get more time in the day to play. If you like pumpkin pie, there are things you can do to a recipe that makes it low carb friendly.

My goals are to lose a size down to a 12/14 or 10lbs; to weigh daily; to measure weekly.

Yogi Peach Detox Tea...tastes amazing & flushes your system!

FYI Dr. Oz mentioned this tea as a way to help with regularity & bloating, if not getting enough fiber. It tastes great either hot or cold. No need to sweeten! I usually drink it at night, which is when the body cleanses itself & in the morning you will get "relief" first thing in the morning!
I drink it nightly every other day.

($4 at Target)

Mjgh06: That sounds like a great goal. Lets kick it this month!!!

Skinny B: Looks very tasty!!!!

I saw a few new people on the other thread lets make sure they find there way here.

Just got back from the gym. That is the thing about weighing everyday. I showed no loss even though I know it is water. Went to the gym for a light day, maybe 400 calories, felt great so just kept going and burned 941. To make sure that dang scale moves in the morning!!! LOL And if doesn't I will just keep on trying!!!

I'll be posting here then too. We have a Halloween party at church tonight. Think I'll see if those Quest bars will cause a stall. But who knows since I'm retaining water anyway.
