Nov 6.....192.6
Nov 7.....192.2/192.6 -------I got both weights several times.

I realized last night that I had a Quest bar on Monday when I was out running around and didn't get lunch. I did a few things differently this week than I normally do. So back to my regular foods and way of eating. The new dog has been getting up at 5am too so that's about 2 hrs less than I normally get. But from here until Jan 2, life is going to be crazy and busy. I'm just going to expect these blips and weight fluctuations. All any of us can do is go with the flow and survive the holidays without completely falling off the wagon.

Well the party went great. Ok one girl lost her mind but all in all it was fun and other than 5 cashews I was on plan the whole night. So happy. Luckily I am not a big dessert girl, so that works in my favor. But French bread with olive oil, Yum

Bulldog mom: Go with 192.2 that sounds better. Blips and bounce are to be expected especially over the next two months. But great attitude over all. Long term is the goal.

Almost a pound down today. Only one pound over the last three days is kind weak for me. But I do not know how the body is going to react with all this exercise. Could be retaining lots of water. Have also kept my calories 400 plus above what I normally do. Trying to do this over the long haul. Going to stay on this current plan through the weekend and if I do not get back to my pound a day average I will start adjusting calorie intake. Keeping it between 1600-1900 calories a day right now. I have stayed well under 5 carbs a day. Then burn at least half the amount I plan on eating each day in the gym. My daily ketostix are dark purple each day, I drink a ton of water everyday also. This should add up to a loss everyday. But we will see. Today is a double work out day again. 3 plus mile run then a weight workout with the legs(keep the b muscles in check) with some abs thrown in for good luck!!! LOL

You're doing great with the working out! I feel like its time for me to add it back in and I'm trying to figure out how without aggravating my foot any further. My routine was running 2.5 miles on the treadmill every day. I have an exercise ball to work on my abs but the kids and dogs won't leave me alone when I try and use it. They think its a toy. LOL

Last night was hard, but probably one of my best accomplishments with food in a long time. At the bar with about 6 other girls we all ordered our apps after a drink or two.....I got my wings, mmmmmmm they came with fries though (I did NOT know that). However they also came with celery and blue cheese. The girls on each side of me had sliders, loaded potatoes, and pizza, they all wanted to share!!! BOOHOO....No Biggy, I got this. I grabbed a little plate, and added 6 hot wings, the celery, and blue cheese and then pushed my basket of fries away for the girls to all have. I did NOT have a bite of anything else. After a few minutes of eating the wings I felt satisfied and it was no longer hard to say NO. But I'm pretty proud of myself, I know a little here and there won't hurt....and I know I was out with the girls for a fun occasion and normally I would have allowed it......BUT THIS IS CHEAT FREE NOVEMBER BABY!!!

Julie, good drop. It's in the 70's.

Laura Shelly, Trini, Pcalt, keep it coming down.

Sicca - OMG You rocked it! Way to stay strong!

TooSweet - I hope you don't have as much trouble with the table as Laura did with her bed.

Bulldogmom, Bouncing is the name of the game, at least it is for me this month. Dunno why...no changes, well I have been eating the winter squashes this week but still under 10ncarbs a day. Just keep at it. We will make goal this month.

Kemp, I don't know about you man..You do enough exercise for all of us. Keep it up!

It's becoming a roller coaster, but at least I have managed to weigh every day for 7 days now.

pcaltman, you're doing great! And a party isn't a party until someone has lost their mind! LOL

Sicca, you're doing great too! All those appetizers happen to be a huge weakness for me. Way to stay strong in the face of temptation!

mjgh06, Last month was a great month for me and losses so I'm expecting Nov to be a bit of a challenge. Its frustrating for sure! You're right, we both are going to reach our goals eventually!

Sicca: That is a good job on the food. It is not easy to do. I am going to Aggieland tailgate Saturday, it is going to be tough to stay on plan. But I am planning ahead and bringing all my own food just in case.

Mjgh06: Thanks. A roller coaster is better than just going up up and away. Good job on daily weighing and staying on plan.

morning everyone!

Nov. 1: 137
Nov. 3: 135.5
Nov. 6: 137.5
nov. 7: 136.5

so i ordered a few things from netrition and the box came yesterday. i got two davinci syrups - pumpkin pie and brown sugar cinnamon (now what?) and some no calorie sauces. AND the no calorie whipped peanut spread. It is beyond disgusting. now what do i do with it? besides toss it, i mean. any ideas??? i ordered the peanut chocolate jar too, and that's a little better- if it's cold it might taste a little like bad chocolate pudding.
anyway.
oh my new rescue pup has pretty bad hip dysplasia. lesigh.

Green Smoothies

Congrats to everyone on your losses and keeping on track!

I am going to switch things up a bit, and drink my low carb green smoothies for a couple days...just smoothies 3x a day, lots of water, no meat, veggies, cheese etc.

This usually works for me, when I get bored or my weight loss starts to stall.

Plus, its a nice break from meat and they taste yummy.

** low carb smoothie recipe **
-unsweetened almond or coconut milk base (1 cup)
-avocado (2 slices of about 1" each)
- kale, spinach or swiss chard (1 cup)
- protein powder 2g carb
- 1/2 cup of frozen fruit (5g carbs max)

Hi Everyone! I'm back from my wonderful trip to Kansas and it was AWESOME as always! Pedicure, Massage, Yoga, Lots of shopping, and lots of cooking for my kids and spending time with the kids and grandkids. It was wonderful!

I've been trying to catch up on all the posts, and it sounds like everyone is off to a great start for the holiday season! Since I can't get away from our shop at Thanksgiving to go back and see the kids, we had an early Thanksgiving dinner while I was there and I made a full Turkey dinner with all the fixings! I had only the turkey, and didn't even sample anything else, but the family all loved it, so I guess it came out ok!

I DID IT! I not only passed the 100 pound mark, but I also hit Onederland!! It took 8 1/2 months, and not a single cheat, but I did it! I still have 49 pounds to go, but my BMI has gone from 53 to 35! Anyway, I'm excited, and I haven't set a goal for this month, but I'll be happy if I can stay in the 190's and not go back up.

I put up a picture I took this morning at 100 pounds less than my first picture.

DairyQueen, Nice loss again! I've wasted so much money on LC stuff that tasted horrible. I don't buy anymore unless someone else has tried it and given a review. Now I know to stay away from the type of pb. I'll be a guinea pic for the hamburger buns and let you all know if they're worth it. If the pb doesn't have anything to bad in it, can you give it to the dog? Sorry about the poor girl's hip. At least she's in good hands now.

SkinnyB212, You're doing great with the losses! The smoothies sound good but I'm always still hungry. I thought about mixing my protein shake with a cup of coffee since warm liquids keep me satiated. I'd love to have results like yours!

One good thing about not giving up, is that you learn what works and what doesn't for your body. For me, coffee makes me hungry. I would initially add them to my shakes, but then would be starving just 1 hour later. Suprisingly these shakes are very filling for me, but stick to what works for you.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie (low carb)

You can tell I am craving sweets, once I switch to drinking smoothies!
It keeps me from grabbing some candy or cookies. Fat bombs do not do it for me.
This Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie is simpley divine.

- almond milk
- unsweetened cocoa power
- protein power
- low carb peanut butter
- ice
- top with heavy whipping cream
...total is about 10g carbs

DQ, I was wondering the same thing, how about giving the puppy a spoonful of the peanut butter every day. I know my girls LOVE peanut butter. I'm sorry to hear about her hips. Can the vet do anything to help her?

This Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie is simpley divine.

- almond milk
- unsweetened cocoa power
- protein power
- low carb peanut butter
- ice
- top with heavy whipping cream
...total is about 10g carbs
That sounds really good! I'm glad to have this group because I've gotten so many great ideas from people. I'm really tempted to try this one. I don't know how the almond milk will effect me though. Everything else should be okay. Take out the almond milk and hwc.....add butter and you've got a drinkable fat bomb.

Binge shopping is completely acceptable on induction.

Mthrgoos we are all SO PROUD OF YOU -- you're a poster child for atkins and induction!!
stupendous!!!
round of wild applause!

and INDULGE yourself and shop!!! you deserve it!

oh i give my pupster peanut butter and i add vegetable oil to her nutro every day. She came to me terribly thin and malnourished and she is flourishing in all regards.

an operation is way too expensive, and i think that i am going to give her a good happy life and i hope that she will be healthy and happy for a long time. I had a komondor who had hip dysplasia too, and she never had a problem with it, even though she was a big girl. I just have to watch Daisy to make sure that she doesn't start hurting.

Thanks so much DQ! We have a Rottie that has hip dysplasia too, and she's 12 now without too much problem. She has pain when it gets too cold, but since we're in Arizona, it's rarely an issue. We also had a pit that had no cartilage left in his knees, and had bad hips from laying with his legs splayed out behind him, and none of it ever seemed to bother him unless he overdid it. He also lived to be 12, until we lost him to cancer. I'm so glad your Daisy has found a loving home to thrive in!

MthrGoos that is AWESOME!!! Congrats, you look great, and more importantly you look like you FEEL great!
