PF - mine are solid too. I'm apple shaped so weight in my legs has never been that big of an issue for me. But I need them to shrink to fit into the boots I want. Just one inch.... ha! It's good to know that you lost an inch going from 228-189. Maybe I'll be somewhere near your current number by spring and treat myself then.

I've noticed that the more stretchy boots - faux leather/no zippers have more give, I tried on tons of pairs a month ago and only 1 pair fit.

I want the Frye leather extended calf boots. I've read lots of reviews, and it seems like they fit girls with 15-16 inch calves. So I'm just under 17 now and figure once I go under 16, I'll try them out.

Morning everyone!
What really??? my feet are still a little swollen, but wha???
yesterday i ate a little more than usual -- a salad and then I made a hungarian noodle-cabbage-sour cream dish but i used konjak "noodles" and only had a little bit. I guess I've hit my calorie ceiling at this weight. I know! let's try to drink a little less wine this evening!

Nov. 1: 137
Nov. 3: 135.5

Searching for the right boot goes right up there with finding the right pair of jeans or a bathing suit. If I could just live my life in shorts and flip flops, things would be so much easier! LOL

DairyQueen, your noodle dish sounds delicious! I've used the konjac noodles before but stopped making them for some reason. I might have to go hunt more down. They're great in stir-fries but lousy as a spaghetti noodle substitute.

Sicca: Can you post your daily weight? That way we can see how many pounds you lost to get to 138.6. And way to go on staying cheat free, one day at a time!!!

And to the rest, uhhhhhhh, I don't wear boots like you guys so will have to say good luck with all that! LOL

About to head back to the gym for workout number two. I really want to see 249.9 by the weekend. So daily double workouts for the next three days should do it!!!!

HI again,

Just taking a break from cooking and cleaning. I am tired. Almost grab something as I walked by my table then said nope,I am not going to do it

Thanks for the menus, It really does help me.

Wow Kemp another workout. I can't do anything yet really, because of my back. Just maybe a little walking. Started that about 2 weeks ago off and on. Just been busy remodeling the kids bath for company that just left. Very exhausting 2 weeks and set me back a little on recovery. Oh well.

Have a great rest of the day.

I bought some under knee boots a couple weeks before Halloween. They look great and fit great! But I have absolutely nothing to wear them with or wear them to. So me and my daughter will play dress up and take turns wearing them around the house...lol I really want a nice pair of cowboy boots...will be saving up for them if not by Christmas.

11/1 180.4 1st scale move
11/2 184 Final scale move
11/3 183
11/4 184.4
11/5 180.2 finally below 11/1 Shwoooh!
11/6 180.8 (up down, up down)

haha. Y'all are so funny!!

MJG - Wear them!! Can you wear them outside of your pants? Or with a skirt and tights? I'd love to do that!

Kemp - Good luck on the double workout!! I seriously bow down to you and your determination. I'm fighting to get into the 30s and it's slow going. I've more or less decided to just maintain until Monday and then go with a gusto until I see the 30s. I need a mental rest this week. So I ate a BIG salad with lots of cheese and sour cream and shredded beef. Soooooooooooooooooooo good and sooooooo high in calories. Oh well.

Good job Pcalt!! Walking past temptations gets easier and easier the more we do it.

Sicca - WTG! Scale movements are always so encouraging.

Sicca,
That took some good willpower! French bread is my weakness. On one date night with hubby, I gave in and had some, dipped in olive oil...went quite nicely with the red wine. Then I paid the price of it the next day when I was up 3 lbs. So not worth it! It is about 30g carbs in one inch piece of french bread. I am being good, until Thanksgiving, then I will eat all the bread I want on that day!

I've been looking for some new boots. I'd love to find a nice dark brown pair just below the knee with little to no heal. Hard to find around here unless you're willing to pay a Fortune!

You girls and your boots. My wife is a shoe hound big time. She says the same things, She is very short, well under 5 feet. Anyway she has a hard time finding boots. To high, to short, not big enough for her calf's, etc. We were in Europe a few years back and I think she found a pair in every country!!! For some reason Spain and Portugal have boots for short people!!! I learned......if she is happy I am happy!!! LOL

Sicca: Nice job on the stiff arm to the bread, no easy task. especially in the beginning. Keep it up

SkinnyB: I feel your pain. I am planning on thanksgiving also being very plan altercated!!! That is if I can make it through the tailgate this weekend in Aggieland, I may have a few shots of whiskey but am bringing my own food to make sure I am covered. I seriously doubt I will have the whiskey. If I weigh 248 by Saturday morning then maybe.

It was heavenly & even moreso since I had not had bread in months (since starting Atkins in August). I am not advocating cheating, but doing Atkins really makes you appreciate the taste of good bread when you eat it. I know people can make low carb options. But I believe there is no substitute for bread! You eat it & enjoy, then pay the price on the scale until you work it off in a couple days.
I must say that I love Atkins, but I also love bread. Once I am in maintenance & reach my goal, I will allow myself the pleasure of bread, but limit it to French bread, once in a while, so I really appreciate it.

Hello, everyone. Sorry I haven't posted lately, I've been rearranging my computer nook and putting together a new table for it. Now all I'm needing is a new chair and I'll be good to go.

Weight this am was 174 - aim to get to 170 by the EOM.

Thanks kemp and Bonny-Jean!

Nice drops Laura, skinny and Sicca!

Ladies, I'm all about the boots this year too!!! I have already picked up a few new pairs and love that I can finally wear them since winter appears to have arrived.

Kemp, KUTGW with the work outs!!! Very motivating!!

Bonny-Jean, my losses this week are high because I just started back on strict low carb after being off it for a few weeks. I always lose a lot of water weight the first week. It will slow down dramatically very soon! Sadly I can gain it just as fast and I typically have a 3 lb. gain the day after a cheat. I do walk 3 miles on the treadmill at 8% incline and that burns about 650 calories. I've been doing it every other day. I eat 2 meals and a few snacks a day. I usually skip dinner (might have a small snack instead) and don't eat anything after 6 pm. I don't stick to strict induction foods, but I keep my carbs below 20 per day. Although I've only been back on plan a few days, this is the same thing I was doing the first half of the year and I lost 50 lbs in 6 months. Now if I could just figure out how to stay on plan! Sucks to have to lose it AGAIN!

Today's meals:
B: coffee with HWC and DaVinci syrup, Hi-Lo cereal with almond milk
S: plain yogurt mixed with DaVinci syrup
L: salad with HB egg, grilled chicken, shredded cheese and ranch dressing
S: 100 calorie snack pack of almonds
Lots and lots of water!

Lunch is really the only meal I change a lot and other typical lunches are bunless cheeseburger with SF ketchup, any grilled meat leftover from prior night's dinner, tuna salad made with mayo and SF relish, LC soups, etc. Most lunches I also add a small lettuce salad with ranch or blue cheese dressing. Other snacks include celery with PB or cream cheese, macadamia nuts, pork rinds dipped in salsa mixed with sour cream, cucumber slices dipped in tzatziki (from Costco), deviled eggs, etc.

Have a great night everyone!
