Shelly: Sorry do not know of any, but I am a big fan of Chris Powell. He helps lots of people and is and inspiration to many. Mjgh06 gave you some good advice there.

SkinnyB: Going shopping for the week, will try and find that combo.

Passionatefire: I had a rough transition this time, Go work out for sure, it will feel horrible but will burn up your stored carbs quicker and get you into the zone. Good luck and stay focused. After the flu you will no longer be blue!!! LOl

Did the gym. Had a good solid workout for about and hour. Only burned about 550 calories but no running today. Glad I got it done. Tomorrow will be a double workout day, Going to try and run in the early morning and then hit the weighs after lunch. Hope the scale gives some love again in the morning. It has moved every day but one. So will not be to upset if it does not move. (well a little upset) LOL

missydee thanks for that recommdation! I'll check him out. I used to do Denise Austin bounce back after baby Lol! Long after I had babies but I Loved it because it was broken down in segments like aerobics then abs then legs etc. And it wasn't to strenous to do but it worked Great. The only exercises I have trouble with is arms and some leg workouts.

Skinny - you need to go and buy a new pair of signature jeans! Congratulations!

Caymans, wow, very lovely Kemp!

How many days till Cancun, Passion???

Anyone done the fat fast? I tried it a few weeks ago and found it pretty impossible as was starving all the time. I ended up modifying so that I had one main meal and several fat servings during the day (plain coconut oil, unpasteurised butter). Anyone have any advice? I saw a fat fast recipe book and wonder if its worth it (its only 50 recipes).

Anyway, am trying again from tomorrow. Have coconut oil, cream cheese, macadamia nuts and butter in stock. Am really hoping this will get me into deep ketosis and give me the woosh I dream of!

Great low impact exercise DVD

Whether you have 20 min...40 min or an hour, Cindy Crawford New Dimension is great & low impact. (Aerobics, Stretching, Toning, Yoga in different sections...do all or pick and chose based on your needs & level). I do not like going to gyms...too social & waste of time & money driving there & on membership...nothing like the convenience of exercising at home, not worrying about what you are wearing or who is watching you!

If you have Netflix, they have workout videos you can stream online. I just bought a few of the 10 minute solutions dvds. I haven't really tried them yet but you can do a 10 min workout or do all of them to get a full 30-40 minutes in.

Morning all,

LOL, well I didn't think the low weight would really stay, but it was nice to see anyway. I go up and down a lot so I need to give things time. Excited for my party tonight. I will be good. I will eat a bit before everybody gets here then have the pork with side salad. I one things that will be hard is to stay away from the nuts. I like them better than the candy.

Can anybody post some menu's? Just curious what everybody is eating. It gives me good ideas for my menu.

Skinny - wow love the new picture. You look great.
Trini - How tall are you?
Shelly - 144-142 was a sticking weight with me as well. Then I dropped into the 130's it the weight came off fast. It's weird.
Passion - great job on ketosis.
Kemp - shrimp yum. That's the only sea food I eat. Can't stand anything else. I know shameful, but hubby doesn't mind because he gets to eat it all.

Nov 4 - 168
Nov 5 - 165.5
Nov 6 - 166

ShellY: Your body does love that weight.

Trini: Down a pound, that will keep you around and on plan. Great job.

Passionatefire: Way to go on the 1.5 pounds. And any shade of purple not pink is awesome on the ketostix.

Start of week three today. Down 15.8 pounds so far, not bad but basically the same weight over the last three days, but not discouraged. This go round I am doing both weights and running so losses I think are being off set by muscle gain and water retention to repair muscle tissue, or that is what I am telling my self. My clothes are just starting to loosen up so that is encouraging. Today is a big double workout day, so maybe the scale will move tomorrow morning. Running this morning and then back later today for a weight training workout. So out the door to do a run!!!!

NOVEMBER GOAL…. 240

Nov. 01…255
Nov. 02…254
Nov. 03…DNW
Nov. 04…251.8
Nov. 05…251.2
Nov. 06…251.2

Are you taking measurements as well? Even though I pretty much jumped off the wagon this summer and stayed relatively the same weight I've lost several inches.

Thanks everyone for all of your kind words. I really, really appreciate. I may feel like venting more about my personal stuff and it's nice to know that I have your support already. ((((hugs))))

Shelly - do you have Netflix? They have a lot of workout DVDS and you could just rent a bunch and see what you like. They have some Jillian Michaels stuff, Biggest Loser Stuff, Zumba, etc. It's like $8/month so not a big commitment. I know someone mentioned this already for the streaming package, but the disc version may have more workout DVD options. Steaming is more limited in that area still. Or you could do both for like $15, which is what I do.

SkinnyB - thanks for the tea recommendations. Those look good. I may try to add some in to my route soon. Esp. if I give up coffee.

Passionate - Hang in there!! The induction flu will pass tomorrow or the next day. Eat a pickle or drink some broth. Those always help ease the symptoms.

Kemp - you are one crazy dedicated exercise fiend! What day is your 1/2? My 5k is the 11th of Jan. Maybe we are running the same day? Also, you've lost 4 pounds in 5 days. So even though the scale stayed the same again today, if you average out some of those losses, it's pretty AWESOME!!

Passionatefire: I do not take measurements, wish I would have. But use my clothes as my tape measure. My belt is already up a notch. Bear in mind I could not even were that belt at all 2 weeks ago with out cutting my circulation off to my legs!!! LOL Now it is up a notch so happy with that. Do you take measurements?

Very inconsistently It does help though when you see that a part of your body has shrunk that wouldn't necessarily be noticed by your clothes (i.e. I wear lower cut jeans so without measuring I wouldn't notice minor changes in my natural waist or that fact that I've lost 1" from my biceps or calves)

[B]Amber[/B You always know the right things to say to keep me motivated. My 1/2 marathon is on Jan 19th. So far my feet are holding together so I am hopeful that I can still do it. I will know on Sunday when I run my long run for the week. Proud we are both still on plan and getting it done.

Grrrrr! I do not want to spend a third month in the 190s. Nothing to change, just going to wait it out. I have been eating store brand eggs this week instead of my usual Eggland's best eggs. I'm wondering if this might be why my weight is going up? Eggland's are loaded with a bunch of good things so maybe this has been helping me since I do eat a ton of eggs a day. Nothing else is different in my diet. We'll find out tomorrow since I'm back to the good eggs today.

Bulldog: Don't sweat it. You will have a whoosh if you just stay on plan. It took me a long time to realize that water weight is the enemy of this challenge. Usually if I weighed the same three days in a row, I would freak out. But I know that I am in ketosis, I am eating the right amount of calories and fat, an am exercising like crazy. It will come off. We just have to stay focused and on plan. Proud of you for doing that. Keep up the good work it will come off.

I took measurments when I started then about 6 months into LC. Haven't measured since though. I use clothes sizes too as a measure. It's still bizzare to me how jeans sizes are so differant brand to brand! All the jeans I have are resale shop jeans or hand me downs from my SIL and i'm great with that but i've got so many differant brands Lol

Hilarious!

I haven't taken measurements either. I think about it and then just don't. I did measure my calves as I want some knee high boots this winter and figure once they shrink by 1 inch I'll treat myself to some. I have no idea how long it takes to lose an inch on my calves though. Seems like that might be equivalent to like 10 inches somewhere else. ha.

Yep! I've lost about 50" in total and only 1 from my calves, I doubt they will get much smaller - they're solid!
