The pie was good but so super rich with not having such decadent treats in 7 months, I took 4 bites and threw the pie out. It was the weekend so no lil Abby at work to taste test for me. I'm making one tonight for Abby to try, making me a strawberry pie. Testing out a version of Bourbon chicken too over fried "rice".

Bulldog: 5k is about three miles total. I am not up to that distance yet. But will be soon. I want to run one in about a week. but it really took it out of me today. So wednesday on my next run day going to try low the pace. Thanks for the support.

Passionatefire:
I bet you do want beach time. I hear it is very cold up that way. When I am on vacation it is exactly that. Vacation. I eat and drink and am merry. It is hard to get back on plan, but we have to do it, and being held accountable here will help. This trip I will have to do some major running every other day to stay in shape for the 1/2 marathon. Anyway enjoy Cancun it is an awesome place. When northerners come here to Houston and complain of the heat, I say yes it is hot but you do not have to shovel heat!!! LOL I actually love the cold. But not the snow.

DH left to hunt in PA until Friday. I've already found it is MUCH easier to not cheat when he is gone. Probably the one thing I won't miss this week is watching him eat candy and ice cream in front of me. At least with the kids I control what they eat....LOL!!!

So here's to a cheat-free November in the hopes that i can shake a few pounds by months end and stop these nasty snacking and over eating (and drinking) habits......
Welcome Sicca,
I also have kids 2 & 4 and a hubby who eats whatever he wants, yet is a svelt 180 at 6'2! I actually find it hard around my kids since I am so tempted to eat what they do not finish.I make them organic foods...squash Mac & cheese, turkey meat balls, whole wheat pasta, chocolate mouse with pureed avocado, coconut oil & unsweetened cocoa, fruit salads...you name it...so when they do not eat, I am so tempted! However, I need to reach my goal of 140, so I have to be strong!!!

Ok bed update. I got most of the base together. The headboard side isn't drilled right so have to get the drill bit on the way home in the morning. It should be pretty simple after that. Makes a lot more sense now... I couldn't figure it out before I put on the other end. I had it flipped every which way and it wasn't working out.

If the effects of my cheats stick to a pattern, tomorrow my weight should go down again. No more eating off plan for sure until I get out of the 190s. Two months stuck here already and now I'm ready to move on.

Laura: Good luck with the bed today.

Bulldogmom: On the thread zero carb bread, a lot of info about these miracle breads. It is in atkins induction part of LCF. DQ is over there and good info. Please let me know how it affects your losses. If you can make it two weeks with a single cheat, your body gets in such a zone that the weight just falls off. At least for me anyway.

Today was only a half pound. Although I weighed an hour earlier than normal. Dogs woke me up, so I just got up. Today is weight training at the gym with a intense ab workout after. I have also been eating like a pig still, and the weight is still coming off. I like it. Almost 2000 calories a day, but I am hitting it hard in the gym. If I think about it I burn almost a 1000 daily at the gym that leaves a 1000 for my body the rest of the day, I think that helps with weight loss for me personally. Here are the stats:

NOVEMBER GOAL…. 240

Nov. 01…255
Nov. 02…254
Nov. 03…DNW
Nov. 04…251.8
Nov. 05…251.2

Shelly, glad to hear you're feeling better!

Kemp, way to go! Keep it up!

Bulldogmom, whoosh coming soon! Let me know how the rolls are! Funny because just last night I ordered low carb bagels hoping to have yummy sandwiches after thanksgiving with the toasted bagels. Hope they're good!

Laura, good luck with the bed! I hate putting that stuff together! Always very confusing and even more frustrating when there is a missing hole or piece!

Skinny, I too struggle with the fact that I still have to prepare foods for the kids and hubby. It certainly gets easier the longer I'm on induction but since I am just getting back in ketosis this week it is extra tough! Spaghetti and meatballs last night was torture! I ended up just skipping dinner to be safe.

Went to bed a little hungry but didn't wake up hungry, which was surprising. Another good drop on the scale today. My body always tends to do really well the first week and then things slow down dramatically the second week. I'll take it though! Sadly I'm still 10 lbs from my low weight of 170 in July. I'm hoping I can remember this struggle and frustration with myself the next time I want to go off plan! Always harder to take it off than put it on!!

11/2: 185.4
11/3: 184.6
11/4: 182.0

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Pcalt - have fun at the dinner party. Can you make everything legal so you aren't tempted? That's what I'd do. Enjoy!

Julie - I'm also still up from my low from last year. It's very frustrating to have to re-lose the same pounds. I'm definitely going to remember this struggle and try to never let myself lose control again. Ugh!

Kemp - Good job on the scale! You are such a rockstar. I'm jealous that you go to the Caymans yearly. I think that may be one of my all time favorite places. Do you have a condo there or just rent something when you visit? Is the half marathon 9 days after you return? I have a lot of runner friends and they say you should do your last long run about 1 week before your 1/2. So you'll definitely need to train there and be ready to do your last long practice run (11-12 miles) a day or two after you return. I have about the same amount of time left to train for my 5k. haha.

Bulldog - I don't know anything about that bread, but I do enjoy the LC tortilla's available on Netrition. I think it's Mama Lupe brand. They freeze well too. I sometimes pan crisp one, add some melty cheese, and then turkey, bacon, and mayo and it's delish. I have not done one yet this time, but now I may have convinced myself to get some for Thanksgiving.

Laura - I hope you get that bed put together. I HATE doing stuff like that. Nothing ever seems to work right for me and it's always harder than it should be. Ugh.

SkinnyB - I have the same issues with my child - DS3. I'll make him something special and he won't eat it, or won't finish it. And it's "healthy" and usually organic and I think, "Oh, I don't want to waste this." It's hard to resist sometimes but ultimately I want to be skinny more than I want to not-waste his food.

So I'm a scale junkie. I always weigh and usually twice per day. The last two days I had reasons that kept me off. Today I just didn't feel like it. I have a lot on my plate and I think my stress is keeping me from getting on the scale. It doesn't even make sense to me. I haven't been off plan so I don't get it. I think I'm just scared of having something disappoint me right now when I'm struggling with other issues. I have lots of company visiting me on Friday and through the long weekend, so I'm thinking I may just ride this wave of no-weighing and restart on Tuesday after everyone leaves. I already have the weekend menu planned and I'm in charge - everything is perfectly legal so there won't be any issues. I'm excited about it.

skinny jeans are now too big!

I could not believe it when these skinny jeans that are in my signature pix, fit so loose, I had to check to see that I had not grabbed one of my "maternity jeans" (that I still have after 2 years!!!).
I can no longer wear these size 10 skinny jeans, as they fit like sweat pants now.
So breaking with my usual tradition of weekly weigh-ins, I got on the scale.
3 down...7 to go to reach my 160 goal!

I will be ecstatic if I can fit into a my size 6 before the end of the year...or at least get them over my knees!

Shelly, glad you are feeling better.

pcalt, you will do great at the dinner. Sounds you have planned ahead very well.

Julie, you'll get there.

Kemp, I am always amazed with your exercise routine. I really wish there was something I could do. But I have scoliosis and mod-severe lordosis with a few diplaced discs in my lower back, so I am limited to just walking basically.

Laura, at least you're getting it done. Sorry it has been difficult.

April, I am so sorry you are going through a rough time right now. Things will get better.

Skinny - OMG. WTG!

Trini - I am trading out summer for winter today. It is such a chore. I'd really love to have two or even three dressers for each person with everything already put together and never have to worry about changing seasons again...

11/1 180.4 1st scale move
11/2 184 Final scale move
11/3 183
11/4 184.4
11/5 180.2 finally below 11/1 Shwoooh!

Kemp, WTG on the loss! This month is starting out fantastic for you! I'll definitely let you know about the rolls. I may or may not eat them but if I do cheat, I'm hoping the rolls do some damage control. I usually try and stay away from these "miracle" foods because they always cause me to gain or stall.

Shelly, glad you're starting to feel better!

Julie, Nice drop! The bagels sounded good too! I'm hoping others have tried this brand and can say what their experiences have been. I only saw one 5 star review when I placed my order for the buns.

Pcaltman, WTG! Awesome drop so far!

AsmallMe, your idea for the tortilla sounds yummy! Don't worry about the scale. I'm betting you'll be surprised when you do get back on it.

SkinnyB212, that's awesome! You're hitting goals like crazy!

Trinigirl, its a lot of work sorting through clothes! We have this crazy Va weather that goes from the 50s to the 70s so I still have a mix of summer and winter clothes out. Thanks for asking about the dr. I've been referred out to another dr so I'm hoping it doesn't take forever to get an appt.

Sicca, you're doing awesome!

mjgh06, congrats on the loss!

Skinny, congrats! You'll be in those size 6 jeans in no time! KUTGW!

Mjgh06, what a whoosh! Congrats and KUTGW!

Sicca, good job resisting the cake! Office treats can be tough!

Asmallerme, sending hugs and positive vibes! Stress certainly makes life and this WOE a bit harder so great job staying on plan. Certainly no need to weigh every day! Keep smiling and know we are here if you ever need to vent or just need encouragement!

Trini, instead of getting out my winter clothes this year I've had to buy new ones! Expensive, but fun. Home with the kids today due to teacher planning day so I've been shopping for warmer clothes for all of us since it's been in the 30's and 40's in the morning and getting colder by the day. My boys continue to grow like weeds and don't fit into any of last year's winter stuff!

Amber: We rent a condo from where my in-laws use to have a place years ago. Just did not use it enough to justify the expense. So now two weeks a year we rent and sometimes get the old place! LOL 1/2 is 9 days after return so will be a tough one. I do plan on drinking and enjoying myself. But it will give me 9 days to get back into ketosis. I want to run this thing completely carb free to prove that it can be done. Will be hard to avoid the meat pies but will do my best. CAYBREW HERE I COME!!!
I will not weigh either if I just cant have a bad start to the day.

Skinny: Way to go on the skinny jeans. Congrats. Proud of You!!!!

Trini: Stay focused. Thanks for support

Sicca:
Make it 5 in row so you can shuck and jive!!!

Bulldog: Cool beans on the buns. I am going to try and not cheat this weekend at the Aggie game, I have done it before but will be tough at the tailgate. We are doing gumbo this week, so bringing my own brisket and ribs to eat.

Looks like everybody is doing great. Heading to the gym to workout and burn some calories!!!

2nd day back on induction & the flu has hit me HARD! Picked up some effervescent magnesium (also contains sodium & potassium) & praying that it helps with the lightheadedness. I do not want to miss my workout tonight!

Morning tea & Evening tea to relieve bloating!

I swear that the teas are magic elixirs!
...just $4 from Target.
I drink the Weightless water tea combined with Tazo Orange tea in the moorings, to flush out excess water.

I drink the Yogi detox tea in the evenings to detox overnight.

This really relieves bloating & keeps you regular!
(Plus it tastes great)

Shelly, I don't know if you have any medical limitations, but Chris Powell has several workouts from very beginner basics on up. You can youtube his vids to see if you like them. There is also Latin Fitness and Zumba if you like dance type workouts. I watch a lot of fitness videos just can't do them. Well I can do some of Chris' basics.
