Morning all,

Well was good Thanksgiving, but yesterday not so. Managed to make it to the afternoon perfect with eggs, sausage, turkey and mayo, but then I had wine, wild rice (which is my favorite and I only have it 2 times a year) and a piece of pumpkin pie. Not too bad, but not good either. I was so tired after cooking and cleaning for two days I fell asleep at 7:30pm. Must have needed it. My back was giving my a lot of problems yesterday too. Almost took meds, but didn't.....

You all are doing great and do make me stick to things better. Thanks.

DQ - white wine is awesome, just love it. Hubby wants to switch to red too for that very reason. I will only drink 1/2 glass of red, but 2-3 of white

Thanks everybody for all of the support! Congrats to all of the losers! My Thanksgiving pics are horrible. Even though I've lost 45 lbs, I still look awful. A good reminder of how much further I have to go. I barely made goal, but considering that I splurged on Wednesday, I'm happy. Now to set my sights on the 170s!

December is going to bring changes for me. More exercise and Keep trying to get into my Endo dr to get thyroid levels checked. I Love LC and I am Not going back to eatting HC junk! So this month has been a learning experience for me.

.....i guess since i have been gone so long i will just use my oct. starting weight, rather than try to find my last post....but i think i was about 152.....anyway, nov. is always a hated month for me, but i seem to have gotten over the worst of it now....was derailed by annual wine tasting at work in late oct. had 2 big dinner parties, a birthday one for the dh, and one where i cooked for old and new chef...so i have had about 6 days of off plan eating...and of course have been depressed about son moving to the uk....

anyway, now i have been sick for almost a week with stomach issues, so am finally gonna try and stop the s/f chocolate and peanuts....

I've reach my long term goal this week of 135lbs, the last time I was 135lbs was seventeen (17) years ago when I got pregnant with son #3 and I thought I was going through early menopause, but no I was pregnant lol, any way I think my body is loving this way of eating, I know that Christmas will soon be here and I,m going to be eating some of my mother's Christmas cake.

I want to wish all my American friend here a belated Happy Thanksgiving...I am so proud of you all that you did not let your holiday derail your lifestyle.. because this is Not a diet, no its a lifestyle with a low carb diet..the definition of diet:- " the food and drink usually consume by a person or animal''...now that is our definition on going...because it works..not only for weight loss, that for me is a by product of this lifestyle, for me the best thing is that it improves heath, and it has brought me to this community of wonderful friends...so I,m looking forward to December...

I'm sure that you are a much harsher judge of yourself than anyone would be..I'm sure you looked beautiful, remember we saw your photos after your run and our looked pretty good in those so there..take that to the bank...you have worked hard have already come a long long way and have not given up, I love you have set your goals for December but I want you to pt yourself on the back for being the champ you really are.

Made my 6 miles run this morning. When I started my body was saying no no no no, But he mind won and said you can do it. Glad I got it in. Feels good to have that done, will hit the gym later with the DW for some weights after lunch. About to go head up to the framers market and help with the adoption event. Need to get rid of these puppies so we can get another litter after we get back from Cayman.

November was a slow month losses wise. Lost 16.2 pounds. A far cry from my goal of a pound a day average. Very far. But I did have a cheat weekend and stalled for a week at 248 or so. But it is a marathon not a sprint. Have lost a total of 28.2 pounds since starting on Oct 21st. I know the weights are putting on some noticeable muscle mass, and that will help with burning up fat when I have a "plan alteration" Which will be on Dec. 20th. So over all the first 39 days have been pretty good.

I hope the next 31 will produce better results on the scale. Shooting for 20 pounds this month, even with the cheat weekend planned on the 20th. I hope to just do drinking that weekend but not going to get upset if I break all the way. I also have to run 12 miles that saturday morning, so that should offset any gains from poor eating. I will be totally happy if I am 225 when I leave for Cayman. But am dreaming of 219.9999.

So proud of everybody sticking it out through thanskgiving and staying focused. Looking forward to a great month. Lets kick some butt and lose some pounds.

Bonny-jean: How cold is it up north right now???

My favorite puppy got adopted today!!! Glad she found a good home. Never named her just called her favorite while she was with us. 2 down 7 to go plus the MOM. Adoption event was at a farmers market so picked up some brown yard eggs. They are so much better than kroger brand eggs. Hope I do not have a bounce up tomorrow morning. Well that is about it, will check in later.

Forgot to mention that I burned 1300 calories on my run this morning. I felt bad when I started and fricking awesome when I finished!!!! I have been super hungry since the run and am feeding the body lots of no carb meat and cheese.

Fresh eggs sound wonderful Kemp! I asked my BF if we could get a couple of chickens so that we could have fresh eggs..... but he pointed out that they probably wouldn't do well in our 127 degree summers. We'd have fried chicken without even trying.

Thanks for the support everybody! I saw dramatic changes when I went from 231 down to about 211. But from 211 on to 185, no changes. My face is still round and puffy, I look exactly the same. In some pics I even look smaller at the heavier weight. I am a little disappointed but since this journey is far from over for me, I'm okay with it. I'm still wearing the same size pants from when I was in the 200s too so I don't think its all my imagination.

KEMP--- i'm going to Houston on tuesday for a couple of days- staying at the ZaZa -- do you know where that is (I'm taking my best friend to MDAnderson for her annual checkup -- she was diagnosed with breast cancer last year).
What's a good place to eat around there?

DQ: Sorry to hear about your friend having breast cancer. ZA ZA is a great hotel, right in the heart of the Montrose area. Just north of the medical center and about 15 minutes from my house. As far as eating places, The sky is the limit. We are a huge foodie town. Just let me know. Of course seafood is top notch. And of course we have all the BBQ you can handle. Steak house, I have a few of those that I love. Burgers got you covered. From hippy trendy to dirt on the floor just let me know your poison??? LOL If you want me and my DW will come and meet ya!!!

Shelly: I use to grab the step stool. Little plastic thing out of the utility room and just do stair steps in front of the TV. It worked great. Glad to hear you are going to try and get some exercise in.

Bulldog: I feel a lot thinner till I look in the mirror. I feel your pain. I hate that big ol beer gut looking back at me. But We will get it off if just keep at it.

2.2 lbs off from my November goal.

Next month, I would like to try for at least an 8 lb loss. I plan on increasing my fats, and getting a little more exercise.
