Pcaltman: Hold your head up high for coming back. I just came back two weeks ago with my head in shame also. But now I feel awesome have lost close to 15 pounds and in the zone big time. Sorry you had to have a surgery. Remember nobody judges here just supports!!!! Glad you are back. And yes Shelly does look awesome. Wish I had her gumption to stay on plan forever and ever.

Thanks so much for the encouragement everyone!

Honestly, I don't even know if 15kg is possible. Its taken me 7mons to lose the same 5kg! It disappears, reappears with friends, goes on a mini-break, then returns... I've only failed twice since starting in March. Even when doing the fat fast, I still only lost a pound and that was after 4 days of coconut oil, butter and cream cheese! It will be a challenge! I forgot to mention, like many others here, I'm on dessicated thyroid so that certainly doesn't help things!

Kempmuhlbaur - I went last year to Cancun and loved it! Stayed at the Fiesta Americana Coral the first week with work, then the following week at Live Aqua, which was out of this world! Can't even explain how wonderful that place is! This year after the meetings, I'm at Secrets of the Vine as I couldn't get a good deal on Live Aqua.

What a shame Passionatefire, I land late in on the 10th and my conference starts the next morning, otherwise that would have been brilliant to meet up!

Thanks SkinnyB2012, I used to be an avid gym goer, but am so broken from injuries, I really wonder if I can ever really train again properly. About 4yrs ago, was going to compete in the bikini division... I weighed 144lbs and was a size 4/6 and loved lifting heavy and spinning for hours! Just think of a wonderful new bikini for yourself! Maybe a treat from Melissa Odabash!

Anyway, am really going to try my best to get to goal. I suspect 65kg is more reasonable and would still put me around a US 6 if I get back to training properly.

Have a great Monday everyone :-)

Being up doesn't surprise me since we went out to eat after the race. I ate more carbs than normal with my meal and then followed it with a piece of cheesecake. Back on plan today and heading to the doctor for my foot. I will catch up with everyone later!

Down 1 more this morning! Hoping it's not a fluke and I can reach my goal early and add some cushion room for carb cycling near turkey day.

Another week starting up. I have a massage schedule for tonight, and I'm gonna try some of that tea. Not a bad Monday.

We got this. I can't believe this year is almost in the books.

Happy BDAY Passionate!!

Julie, Great drop! I had to read your signature several times this morning. Great reminder for me to not give up.

Kemp, your energy for exercise always amazes me. KUTGW!

Welcome back pcaltman!

shelly - Whoot Whoot! COming down.

Super86 - WTG!

Really didn't want to post weight this morning, but I promised myself I would be accountable every day. I have no idea why the up today. I am being very strict on the 72 Induction - meat, eggs, and very little cheese. I even limited my HWC to every other day and only 1tbs instead of 4. I have had the allowed 1cup of salad (romaine lettuce with 3-4sl of cucumber) twice. IDK. I will keep at it for the rest of the week and if no change will go back to my way of Induction.

11/1 180.4 1st scale move
11/2 184 Final scale move
11/3 183
11/4 184.4

Pcalt - welcome back. I rejoined the fun about 1 month ago now. Time passes fast and you'll feel great soon. (((hugs))) I hope you are fully recovered.

Great job everyone on some amazing losses already for this month. It's so encouraging to see the scale dropping for so many of us. I am a scale junky but yesterday I got up to a sick child and totally forgot to WI. Today was also super busy in the morning and I didn't look again. This is so not like me at all. I've been fully on plan though, so I'm not worried. I love LC.

Oh, and I got a few "you look skinny" compliments today. It really made my day. I'm so far from skinny, but I'll take what I can get. ha!

Amber: You will be down. If not I will come beat up your scale!!! LOL

Super: Good job on the pound down. Fluke or no fluke enjoy the day!!!

Mjgh06: I use to freak when the scale did not agree with my efforts. Sometimes those dang fat cells fill up with water to offset the losses they are shedding. No worries you will be fine. Good job on not adjusting right away, give the body time to catch up.

Kemp I have No clue on making the back strap LC Lol! I plan on frying it battered for the family. My kids Fight over it! Lol! I'll probably see if I can just fry me a few pieces in some oil without the batter and see how it turns out.

Too late to join? My goal for November is to NOT cheat!!!! I reached my happy weight of 135 a year or more ago, since then I've yo-yo'd a little but am holding steady around 140. I want to be at my happy weight of 135 again by the end of the month if not sooner.

DH left to hunt in PA until Friday. I've already found it is MUCH easier to not cheat when he is gone. Probably the one thing I won't miss this week is watching him eat candy and ice cream in front of me. At least with the kids I control what they eat....LOL!!!

So here's to a cheat-free November in the hopes that i can shake a few pounds by months end and stop these nasty snacking and over eating (and drinking) habits......

Sicca: Welcome aboard and good luck. That is a good goal to set, I know you can do it.

Shelly: I am going to try it a few ways also. I am soaking in buttermilk right now and then will tenderize. Going to try and just skillet fry with some pork rind crust or something just to see how it comes out.

Kemp - I sometimes do a batter of parm cheese and heard parm cheese and pork rinds together also work. Not sure how that would taste.

Welcome Sicca. Good luck with the no-cheat November. I'd love to have that goal, but think I may allow one or two things on Thanksgiving.

I feel stuffed. Today's menu so far:
B: 2 eggs scrambled, 2 sausage patties, 1 cup of coffee w/ HWC
S: piece of turkey and mayo
L: small salad with chicken salad on top -- was a medium salad but couldn't eat it all.

Dinner will likely be a bunless burger and broccoli. I'd prob skip dinner I'm so full but am going out to eat. I love the appetite suppression that we get with low carb.

Thanks for advice Amber I may try that out

Just got back from the gym and it destroyed me today. Just was not feeling it at all. I ran and just had nothing left to do weights. So I am going to have to split workout on running days. Weights in the early am and then run in the afternoon. Or I may just have to pick a workout, and running would win because i really want to run that marathon. We will see. At least I go my workout in so I know the scale will move in the next few days

Okay, I want to join in! Today was my first day. I've done this before, but I lost 25 lbs and then got pregnant! I've been starting for about 8 months now so I figure if I post and try to stay active here it will keep me more accountable! Looking forward to finally focusing on me and doing what I need to get healthier. I'm going to go with a goal of 15 lbs for the month since it's the beginning.

Trini, I'll get rest at the end of December. I'm taking a mini vacation and going home to visit my family and stay with my parents a few days. Might see John while I'm there... not sure yet. Gonna furnish the house in between. I started over when I left my ex-bf. When I came to Missouri I left everything but my clothes, kitchen stuff and bathroom stuff in Indiana. So I just got my bed today, YAY my mattress doesn't have to sit on the floor anymore if I can get the bed together. Anyway I'm rambling.

Sicca great to have you with us.

Shelly and Kemp probably too late for you to try but breading wise I mix coconut flour and Parmesan... there is also a non breadless "breading" I've been wanting to try just haven't had time.

2 C dehydrated minced onion
2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground sage
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 teaspoon dried coriander
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 bay leaves, crushed
1 1/4 cups grated Parmesan cheese

Place dehydrated onion in food processor bowl and process for 1 minute. Add remaining ingredients except the cheese and process 30 seconds. Add Parmesan and pulse to blend. Store refrigerated in an airtight container.

Thanks all for the bday wishes! I had a great first day back on plan 100% with jalapeno popper chicken & Laura's broccoli cheddar soup for lunch with heroin wings for dinner. I'm still a bit hungry though so I may fry up a teeny bit of cheese for a snack while watching the walking dead. Hubby got me a 16kg kettlebell (and roses) so I'm looking forward to adding some extra at-home workouts to the mix....85 days til we're on the beach

Passion .. I'm a bit slow but hope your day continues to go well.

Putting this bed together is making me cuss.... I get part E1 into H1 no problem and E2 into H1 still no problem ... even got H2 hooked up... but M1 is killing me and I've had to start over 4 times now when it all fell apart...

I always tell people when they start..start with success in mind. Stock you pantry and fridge with lots of induction foods, so when hunger hits you can eat and not cheat. Good luck.

Passionatefire: Happy b-day. Great job staying on plan.

I only have 56 days till the beach. We go yearly down to Caymen for a couple of weeks and do daily dives. Last year I weighed 270 pounds and was quite the largest guy on the dive boat each morning. I was always first to run out of air and only had one suite on the whole island that would fit me, so same swim trunks everyday. BUT NOT THIS YEAR BABY!!!!!!!!! I hope to be at least 50 pounds lighter at the very least. It will be hard to keep my training up while on the island. But I have full intentions of doing so. I cannot promise I will not have any "plan alterations" but I will continue to exercise to avoid a major impact. The marathon is 9 days after we get back. Well I have blabbed enough. All have a great evening.

I envy you, I've tried snorkeling twice and get nervous - I can't imagine diving! But the pictures I see friends post are so amazing! I'm not a super strong swimmer so I keep my ocean time to jumping in the waves. We do a lot of walking while in Mexico (probably more than 5km a day at least) but I'm hoping to incorporate some body weight exercises as well this year (squats/push ups while hubby showers). The thing I'm most afraid of is having a hard time once we do get back on schedule with our workouts. There are gyms around but I highly doubt I'll make it to any of them, winters in Ontario are so horrible that I just want to spend every second I can on the beach.

Happy Birthday PassionateFire! Awesome birthday gift!

Tiggy, I'm a slow loser too. But just keep doing what you're doing and you will feel better and look better for your vacation.

Shelly, Congrats to your daughter on her deer. Sounds so good!

Kemp, Congrats on your deer and your loss! WTG on hitting it at the gym. I don't run for the whole 5k. For the last two, the course has been everything from grass, to dirt, to mud to a gravel road. The gravel road is too slippery for me to run and I just don't have the stamina yet. But my run/walk combo still had me coming in under an hour. I saw a lot of older people, young kids, really large people and people with disabilities doing the 5k. I was impressed with every single one of them because they all had obstacles to overcome. I say your ready. :-)

Laura, your recipes always look so good! I bet that pie was heavenly!

Trinigirl, so glad you all had help cleaning the animals. Those will make some good meals for the winter!

Julie1972, WTG in the face of temptation!

Welcome back Pcaltman and welcome to the newbies! Congrats to everyone for the losses so far!
