Candid, jump right on in anytime! There will be a December Challenge for sure!

melmis, Nice whoosh! I usually eat just meat and eggs unless I'm craving a veggie. Then I eat that veggie at lunch. I'll probably stick with the fast until Thanksgiving.

Lori, Thanks! Meat and eggs really isn't that hard to do. I never eat the eggs the same way twice to keep it from getting boring. Love the kiddos!

MtherGoos, Too bad you didn't weigh! The whoosh fairy is being good today except my whoosh is just the water weight I put on after eating all of the summer sausage.

Bonny-Jean, here's a picture of Gunner and my 2 girls. He's definitely become a permanent member of this family.

Hi all,

Trying out a bunch of new recipes right now for Thanksgiving. I think that's why I am stressing a bit because I don't know how they will turn out. I will be doing LC Thanksgiving all the way, but trying to get a menu down for me so I don't go over 25 carbs for the day and blow it.

Turkey
LC Stuffing (6 carbs serv)
Sugar free Sheila's cranberry sauce (2-4 carbs)
Linda's green bean casserole (5 carbs)
Linda's crustless pumpkin pie (5 carbs)

That's 18 carbs for dinner. Throw in my coffee and eggs for breakfast (4 carbs) should equal 22 carbs I think I have it.....If I get hungry I can snack on a hard boiled egg.

Sounds perfect! I'm making a stuffing recipe that I got off of these boards that uses sausage in place of the bread. Is that the one that you're making? There are so many great low carb options!

I HATE for when I FEEL skinny, and I'm sure I'm going to see a loss on the scale, only to get on and see a gain. That really sucks.

Meat and eggs is definitely the way to go. That's what works for me, and cheese. I can't give up the cheese. So meat, eggs, and cheese. It keeps things simple and easy.
I know and as soon as I posted meat and eggs I remember I had 1 1/2 gallons freezer bags of cabbage I just cut up a couple of days ago. so it may be a meat egg cheese and cabbage fast.

Funny you should mention family pictures I just had some made a few weeks ago and am going to pick them up tomorrow. i will have to post one or two when I get them!

Thank you for the welcome, Kemp, MtherGoos and anyone else I might have missed.

I am looking forward to the accountability of a group, even a virtua one can be powerfull. I have a long way to go, and I lost 90+ lbs. on Atkins years ago, before gaining back 70 of them over the last 9 years, and most of those in the past 2 years. Sigh. I know Atkins works, and I know I can do it, and this time I'll stay on maintenance and not allow the carb creep to set in by not weighing and not staying accountable. I'm back to using an online tracker to log my food and weight daily and count carbs to keep me on track.

Today down .4 from yesterday

I had started out thinking they would also be for food - yeah that didn't ever pan out. You get to attached very fast, at least we did.
ANd no you are not insane - We have a 25yo daughter, 23yo daughter, a 20yo son and a 8yo daughter. We are debating about having another - not naturally but adopting.
That always happens here, too. We have lambs as fair projects for the summer and they kids have a fit when it is fair week and they "remember" they are going to market at the end of the week.

I think it would be great to have a couple of dairy goats though. Do they have to have a lot of land? That is what is holding us up at the moment. We have plenty of barn space, but only about 30X100 lot fenced. We intend on fencing about 1 1/2 acres, but haven't done it yet.

We adopted two of our children! Best thing that ever happened to us. They are all so fantastic -- challenges and all

No I don't put sausage in my stuffing so I had to google a lot of recipes. I found a few that were like Linda's stuffing recipe, but I am replacing the bread she has with a homemade one. It will have almond flour and faxseed meal in the recipe and end up with less carbs.

It Smells yummy in my house...

BulldogMom - I love the pic of the kids with the large chocolate lab. I had a black lab for about 10 years. I miss him so much. I need to get another for the kids, but just not brave enough to add a furbaby at this point!

PC - what a wonderful looking menu. We eat with DH's family, but we bring 2-3 LC side options for ourselves and they make the turkey fairly LC. I kind of wish we did our own thing to stay LC like you do, but we (and the kids) would miss the family time also.

VegasMom - I use the same app and love it for so many reasons. It is good to have such a great supportive group when we are all going through the same thing. Good to have you. I am fairly new to this group although I have been on LCF for over a year now.

Lori - I am a bit nerous because everybody is coming here. We always have the parents here for all the Holiday's, but this year hubbies brother and his family are back from Germany so they are coming to. We will have a total of 16 people. I hope it all works out.

Sp. I would love to have property like you have. We have been trying for year to move to property and have had contracts on some but they all keep falling through. Hopefully we can try to move again in the next few years once my daughter finish the 5th grade. Then I can get my farm

OH! How did I forget this? Just for the heck of it, I tried on my size 8's yesterday.... and they fit!!! They were originally my goal pants, so I may have to reevaluate that since I still have 44 pounds to go!

Hey gang. We are a chatty bunch. Well day 2 of work in the books. Stayed on plan. WAiting on DW to get home so we can hit the gym. About 12 minutes away right now, will be thirty in about 45 minutes!!! LOL

Melmis: I love avacado, I tried one a week ago and showed not loss the next day. So I just avoid them. Bear in mind what I eat today will not really affect the scale over all, but I think it does so I avoid them. When I get with in 20 pounds of goal I may add them in. Some people say they help them lose. So try it out. But Why mess with success. A half has 13 carbs and 10 fiber approx. If I keep losing at this rate I may try again next week. Just to see. I have to run 6 miles this saturday and 8 miles next saturday. So maybe after that 8 mile run I may have one on that day.

Shelly: I love the baconator!!! Even better with the bun!!!! Just kidding. There is a wendys right by my new office, may save up some calories and eat one tomorrow. Does wendys have the calorie break down for the patties by themselves? I can't eat the cheese there is about 3 carbs per slice I think. and there are 3 slices on a baconator. That is 9 carbs I cannot spare.

Kemp, they do have a break down on their web site. They list their cheese as having 1 carb per slice, and the hamburger patties as having 0. They also have an app you can download to your phone to build your meal beforehand and figure out exactly how the numbers will play out.

No kemp I didn't see a break down of calories posted anywhere. I had 1 slice of cheese on mine. Patty-bacon-cheese-patty and bacon. They put it in a container like they use for baked potaoes. Greasy but Good! Got some funny looks for the other people while I was eatting but I didn't care Lol!

How precious! Soooooo cute. Oh, the biggest smile when I saw the kids curled up with that beautiful lab. I love him! I love his name, too. That's pretty cool, Gunner. Did I mention I'm "lab crazy?" I have about 20 pics 12 x 12" all over my walls in my office of labrador puppies!! My very own first black lab was Cole, then my chocolate Ko-Ko, then my little black Bandit and my first boy, Buddy came from rescue only to fnd out 8 yrs later, he was a purebred. Sorry, I think I already told you that story.
Please keep the puppies coming. Doggies are good for the soul.
Thank you so much. That made my night... still smiling!

Hi everyone. I'm still feeling like hot garbage. I did not exercise yesterday, and took some Nyquil before bed, not even thinking about the sugar/alcohol content until afterwards. Baconator......

Isn't it kinda hard chewing thru all that bacon??? Has anyone ever asked for a large piece of lettuce instead of a bun. It would be nice if they wrapped the burger in a big piece of lettuce or two. Mind you, Burger King does wrap a paper around the burger and I guess that would help keep it all together when not using a bun. Hmm, I think I'm gonna try that.

Avaleigh, don't beat yourself up! You've been sick! You have no control over that and you do what you have to do to get better. If not for that, you were right on track to make your goal. And you still might! The month isn't over yet!

Bonnie I was suprised but the bacon was Perfectly cooked. And was easy to bite through. Super yum! This is the first fast food burger i've ever ordered without the bun. I've only had 1 other fast food burger in over 1 1/2 yrs of LC! It was a McDonalds burger and I took the bun off. I think Hardees will wrap lettuce around a burger if you ask. I don't eat Hardees around here. Nasty filthy resturants!

Hey gang,

been a long day, just got back in from the gym for a small 650 calorie burn. Do not expect the scale to move, just because it has been moving like crazy. Crazy down. I expect to hold some water to repair the muscle. I have now worked out 9 days in a row and have no intentions of stopping. Instead of a big 1500 calorie burn in one day I am just breaking it all out in daily doses between 600 and 1000 calorie days. Off to bed soon, glad everyone is doing well. I will eat a baconator soon. I just want one now, of course no bun, but lettuce sounds good on it.

Later gators. Will check in in the morning with the weight. Only 4 days to lose 1.8 pounds, I have to stay on it.
