hi guys... just checking in. Have been going non stop since I got up. Can't really catch up with everyone. For Mayo I use Duke's because there is no sugar added to it. There is sugar in every other brand I've read a label on.

193.0 today 11/24

I only drink water, 3 to 6 liters per day. If I don't drink plenty I get very hungry!

I'm starting to catch up, so I may comment on a thing here and there. Camping did me in this summer too. I quit smoking 5 years ago March and being around friends smoking and camping this summer about every other weekend caused me to start back in September. I was able to buckle down and quit in October, but it was rough. I know that is why I gained about 10 pounds recently and am having such a hard time not cheating. But I'm am trying and keep getting back up and brushing myself off when I cheat about every two weeks.

melmis,
constipation will definitely cause weight loss to slow....How much magnesium have you taken? If it hasn't worked yet, you need more. If it is the vitamin supplement magnesium oxide- I take two in the morning and within an hour it works. I think the norm is usually 2-4hrs but definitely a lot sooner than 24hrs.

Lorias, I am one of the lucky ones with quitting. I never get the food cravings or extra weight from stopping. It just is so hard to quit and stay quit with stress and my entire family of smokers that I am around every day. I am much more addictive to it than anything else. I go through a lot of pen tops when I try to quit...gnawing on them

I know everybody here on this thread is trying there hardest and doing there best as you well know. I have been on and off this thread many times as everyone here knows. Each time with new vigor and a plan to make it stick. I have failed every time, I mean every time I have failed to keep the weight off. But you know what I am back. If it was not for Bonny and Mothergoose and Shelly and Missy Dee and pink and Amber and Trini and Bulldogmom and Skinny and the rest I would still be 270 pounds right now I am sure. So thanks again for all the support from everybody and glad we can have discussions on what our plans are and honest input to figure it out and do the best we can with our plans.

Sure there a few rare people that can stick 100 percent low carb for ever. I however have no plans to never ever ever ever ever eat another bowl of my moms homemade pasta and sauce, I am Italian for crying out loud!!!! LOL

That is some heat 120 degrees. WOW!!! It does not get that hot here but 105 degrees with 100 percent humidity will take your breath away. You walk outside and your covered in sweat just walking to your car. But again better than shoveling snow. Of course I have shoveled snow when I was a ski bum years ago. It sucked, but man I loved the cool weather. I guess again it is a give and take. Maybe we can all live in canada during the summer and live down here in the winter. I now there are people that do that, I am not one of those people, but I do by lottery tickets every week!!! LOL

I just got home from the gym a little 600 calorie burn doing weights and core exercising. Going to do some grilled pork chops for dinner with some blue cheese crumbles on top.
You are an inspiration to us all!

I basically eat the same thing almost everyday. Although I have put in a few OMM in there for a treat.

I have a coffee (with caffeine) when I get up. 2 TBS of HWC. 2 Packs Splenda. Lately I have been adding 1/4 tsp of pumpkin pie spice to it. 1 hard boiled egg.

1/2 Baked chicken breast seasoned with salt and pepper and franks red hot wings sauce (buffalo) with broccoli (salted with melted butter) for lunch and supper. The breasts I get are pretty thick, boneless and skinless so they are good to have half of.

Sometimes instead of having that twice, I won't sauce the chicken while it's cooking, and shred the other half of breast for soup. 1 chicken bullion packet, a cup and a half of water, the shredded chicken, a handful of frozen broccoli and heat it up stovetop until the broccoli is tender.

After supper I have a decaf coffee, 2 TBS of HWC, 2 splenda packets, and 1 tsp of hershey cocoa powder.

I drink water constantly, as I am always mega thirsty.

I try not to eat anything about 2-3 hours before bed.

I'm in love with Frank's red hot buffalo sauce. It is an obsession of mine.

Finally found new batteries for the scale. Either my scale is way out of whack or that cheat meal I had Friday night will be the last one I have until Mexico in January. Weighed in at 192.5 at the gym Friday afternoon (weight usually goes up about 3 lbs once I've had coffee, water & meals) and was 193.5 on my scale at home first thing this morning. Will be weighing in on the gyms scale tonight & will weigh myself once more at home just prior to leaving so I have something to compare. Argh!!!!

Avaleigh - maybe that is what I need to do. Just find what works and stick with it for a while. I can't do chicken right now, because I have a freezer full fo pork and beef. But I do need to cut back on my LC stuff like bread and ice cream to buckle down and get these pounds off I want to shed before the 1st of the year. Love your menu. I may have to try that chicken and sauce combo.

Shelly - hang in there!

PF - The dreaded new scale batteries. I HATE to change the batteries in the scale. It's like I know they are going to mess with SOMETHING!

The only furbabies we have at the moment are my rowdy cat and about 10 hens. I love my fresh eggs though!!

I do have more than a few of my own rowdy babies though. Here is just two of the 4:

Hi all,

Finally got my computer back. I am back up and it's all my fault, but will work hard this week even with Thanksgiving. I have decided to be more diligent about counting carbs during the week so I can have my wine on Saturday night with Hubby. So I need to be 10-20 carbs all week long and double check everything. I can do this...I will be posting my menus as well with carb count to keep me honest.

I buy the Costco big 1 gallon mayo. We laugh every time we buy it, but we do use it all. It doesn't have sugars or carbs so it's good fat. I make a lot of salad dressings and casseroles with it. I love mayo

Goal - 163

We are so excited for him here! I don't know the correct wording for the business side of football, but Ricky was called to practice with quite a few NFL teams but never permanently signed. We've been praying for him for years because this has been a huge dream for him. So even though he's in Canada now, at least he's getting to play.

MissyDee, Thanks for that pork rind recipe, I might have to try that soon! I love your new picture. Your are so pretty!

melmis, part of the battle is just hanging in there while you get things figured out. Great job on sticking with this!

Lori, you're doing great! I love your picture! Our city council was contemplating letting residents keep hens. I'm hoping they do because I'd love to get some silkies.

Avaleigh, you are doing awesome! You'll finish this month out with a nice loss!

PassionateFire, I hate having to change the batteries in my scale for this reason. But you know you've still lost the same amount of fat regardless.

Shelly, you're doing great just hanging in there!

pcaltman, we might have to start buying the big jugs of mayo too. Your menu looks good!

Ava - a continual nice loss. Good job.

Lori - going down, keep it down Beautiful kids! We have 8 hens who are just getting old enough to lay. I can't wait. We have always had chickens and goats, but for some reason last year I talked myself into getting rid of our chickens. So we had to start over with them this year.

passion - it is just the scale. Remember at the beginning of themonth I moved my scale from carpet to hard floor and gained 5 lbs. I am sure you will be fine for the weigh in this evening at the gym.

Shelly, keep strong.

pcalt - you eat like me, not much at all.

bulldog, the weight will come off you know it. It is probably the summer sausage. And totally understand about the cold and eating or sleeping. Yes snuggling up with a blankie in the cold is my favorite. Thank you for the compliment.

You guys are doing great. IO am trying to keep track of my cheat free days in a row, because I think that is part of my problem. I need to keep on track and not deviate. So far 6 cheat free days in a row. and only 4 cheat days of the 4 days so far this month. Still not good enougth though considereing my trend for the last two months has been up and not down.

I need to focus. Not to mention I have a goal of a 1/2 marathon in June 2014, I need to get busy training for this!

Happy to report last Friday I hit 135, which was my goal for November!!!! Didn't weigh that much the past couple weeks, but at the end of October I was 143.

Still cruising along with as much of a cheat-free november as I can. I have done great not snacking on my kids leftovers, hee hee....I have managed to avoid the ice cream DH keeps buying and chowing on late at night. UGH. I just keep telling myself it's NOT worth it. And now here I am back at my goal weight just before thanksgiving!!

However this is where the hard work is really going to start. I have to keep up these cheat-free habits for the long term!!! No slacking.

My cousin played football for Canada. He was on the Chicago Bears but they cut him and he went to Canada to play for the Hamilton Tiger Cats. He played awesome and was inducted into the Canadian hall of fame a few years back.

Ben Zambiasi was his name. Know of him????? Here his Bio. My maiden name is Zambiasi

Benjamin Ray Zambiasi (born August 19, 1956) was a linebacker for the University of Georgia and in the Canadian Football League.

Zambiasi was born in Valdosta, Georgia, and played for the Georgia Bulldogs from 1974 to 1977.[1] While at Georgia Zambiasi led the Bulldogs with 467 career tackles tackling 173 in 1977.[2] He later graduated from the University of Georgia in 1980 with a Bachelor of Arts (A.B.) degree. He was drafted by the NFL's Chicago Bears in the 10th round, 271st overall, in 1978, but ended up coming to Canada after training camp.

Zambiasi played 10 years with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (1978 to 1987) and one year with the Toronto Argonauts (1988).[1][3] He played in 4 Grey Cup games winning one championship in the 74th Grey Cup. He won the CFL's Most Outstanding Defensive Player Award in 1979 and was an all star 8 times.[4] He was selected to the University of Georgia Bulldogs' Team of the Century and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats Wall of Honour in 2002. He was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 2004.[1]

Great job!!

Wow, sounds like joining the CFL really paid off for him, EVEN THOUGH HE'S IN CANADA!

Thanks everyone for the encouragement! I am going to attack this as if I am one of the 'lucky' restistant people.

I am going to drink more and more water (5+ liters per day) I slowed down on week 2 because I felt so heavy but thats when I was least hungry. And I am going to adopt the meat and egg WOE to experiment a bit.

I am beginning to question if I truly went got into ketosis. I feel like I have bad breath but other than that, I had little or no other symptoms. Were there any symptoms any of you had that made you absolutely sure? I just noticed a bit ago that my urine absolutely stinks which I have never had that before. It may be a small victory??

Kemp:
I am taking your advice and going to give this a shot. Yesterday I ate about 1/2 as many carbs as I have been for the last few weeks so I got a head start. Can you give me some meal ideas? Is tuna allowed? Today I have only had a 2-egg omelet with ground pork and a half cup of coffee black. For a snack I had an HBE. Sounds like eggs will have to be my BFF for awhile! I am pretty optimistic on this new approach.

Today I was up on the scale again but am certain it is pre-TOM! The week before is worse than during. Sorry for the TMI!

If hungry again an hour later eat again. If that does not produce results then you need to look for the issue. Remember, that is it, no peppermints, no sugar free gum, no one french fry this wont hurt. Nothing but meat, eggs and fats. I could be way off but that is what I would do.

That is so neat! If it wasn't for Ricky (Schmitt), I wouldn't follow football so I don't know much about any of the players.

Tuna is good but make sure you eat some fat with it like mayo or olive oil.
