Bonny, do you put a lot of liquid in it? I put only enough to cover the bottom maybe a cup to a cup in a half. I have a small crockpot though - it would not fit a small whole chicken in it. Not great on thinking measurements but I guesstimate a 8"wx10L". Mine doesn't have the boiled taste but it doesn't taste baked either. I don't think it would every compare to crispy baked or fried. The only reason I like it is becasue I can put it on in the morning, run errands etc - just forget about it and it will be ready for dinner.

Oh forgot to mention - does anyone know who honey boo is? I will look her up online here shortly - I don't watch much tv. Anyways, we go to the animal/yard sale auction usually every weekend. Tonite people were saying Honey Booboo was there. Obviously not many people like her as they were all saying not so nice things and wishing she wasn't there.

I do know honey boo boo! I know people don't like the family because they are crude and unrefined and obnoxious. What I like about them is that the family sticks together. They obviously love each other and would do anything for each other. My biological family might look good on paper, but we've got a lot of issues. So a family like honey boo boo's, doesn't look so bad to me.

Yeah I just looked them up and watched a few videos. So is Honey Boo Boo the mother or the youngest daughter? I don't think they are that bad with the exception of the manners regarding body functions. But that is probably all staged for show - there has to be some entertainment. They do seem like they are happy and well-adjusted family-wise. May watch some full-length episodes so I can recognize them if they come back to the auction. They seem down-to-earth and anyone's family under a microscope would have some weird qualities to it.

Honey Boo Boo is the younger daughter. Her mom gives her " Go Go Juice " before she would send her to preform on stage for her pageants. The "Juice" is equal parts Mountain Dew and Red Bull. Not really something you want to give a child, but her mom said Pixie Styx didn't energize her enough. I am not a fan of the show, or the family.

OF all the topics that come up here Honey BOO BOO is the last one I thought I would see!!!! LOL I have watched the show and I like the family unit because they do stick together. The shear fact I know that scares me a little bit. But they are crude and obnoxious. Oh well that is why they make chocolate and vanilla. You can like one or both but no one is forcing you to eat it. Just for the record I no longer watch any part of the show.

Had my rib-eye tonight it was so good. With that and the casein I am well over 2000 calories today. I usually hang around 1800. But have been hungry all day and my body needed it. Do not expect the scale to show a loss, maybe a gain due to the long run. Well see in about 10 hours!!! Have a good night.

COLD

Boy, do I envy you guys in those beautiful states.
I'm freezing my tuckus off here.
Really hard to stay away from the "comfort food" in the winter here. My first crock pot meal was an epic failure. I put my wings in along with the dogs thighs and after a stir all the meat fell apart and now I just have mush and bones. Yuck!!!

I'm going to be missin in action for a few days. I found out today that I'm going up to Indiana Thursday morning with the lil boys and the lil girl (hope she does well in cars) to meet John and then after a little rest we are driving back with both the cars. He's being a baby and won't just come down without being able to follow me home..... so 14 hour drive for Thanksgiving. YAY me! was that dripping too much sarcasm? I remind myself I love him and this is just one of the many things I will do for him.... at this point anything that means he is actually here and not in Indiana anymore I'll do. So now the next few days are going to be working as usual and trying to get everything caught up at the house. I have laundry to do, a deep clean of the kitchen, and I have to find my living room. The living room is currently full of power tools and pallets that are in the process of being torn apart. I also have a bookshelf still in the box that needs put together and the old one gotten rid of. So I'm going to be super super busy! Will try to check in but no promises.

Today was surprising...another whoosh. I even ate 2300 calories yesterday. I expected a slight gain or possible same weight due to my 5 mile run and the muscles holding onto some water. So WHOOOOP!!!! I will be happy all day today. Today is a rest the legs day so only weights at the gym. Looks like rain tomorrow and my new job starts so no running tomorrow either unless I make the gym for the treadmill. I am dedicated but not going to go running in 38 degree weather and catch a cold. I hate treadmill!!!! But I love being thinner. Sorry excited, only 3 pounds to goal in the next 6 days.

Hi all,

Using a different computer so will have to update stats later because I don't know how to copy and paste on here. No button, it's weird. That's what I get for having a computer guy as my hubby, all sorts of thing that are not basic,lol....

Up again, but expected that. Was good yesterday and will be today so It will come off. Just mad at myself for not working even harder to get some weight off by the end of Nov.

We had snow flurries last night. My daughter was so excited. The kids made me make hot coco and marshmellows and we had a big fire. So nice.

Trying to come up with dinner menus for this next week. Problem is I am out of money to buy things. Ugh!!!!! I don't even have enough eggs for breakfast. Will think of something.

Will post later, have a great day.

Have any of my Canadian friends heard of a football time called the Rough Riders? The punter for that team belongs to our church along with his parents and wife. Ricky's team is playing today in the Bray Cup? I don't know much about football no matter what country its played in but we sure are proud of this guy. Ricky is one of the nicest people you could ever meet.

PC: You will come up with something I am sure. I am so not computer savvy. And I am getting a new computer tomorrow to learn all over. It is a pc not and apple so that will help. Looking forward to the touch screen and all.

Bulldog: Know very little about Canadian football. Nice down trend we have going this last week. Congrats to you for the steady trend down.

Just cooked a pound of bacon for the week, then fried my eggs in the grease....Man that is some good stuff. High calorie but so good. Doing pork chops for lunch then sausage for dinner. Then off to a new job on Monday. A little nervous, I have been self employed for the last six years so this will be a big switch. By By freedom, hello steady pay check. I like the trade off. Check back in later.

Staying the same because I ate so much - over 1600cals which is A Lot for me, and I did that two days in a row. Cold makes me want to eat and sleep for some reason. I try not to go over 1200. I'll catch up with everyone in a little bit.

Good morning my peeps.
Wow, you all look good this morning!! Only 1 lb down today. Oh well, that's okay, I guess.

Saskatchewan Rough Riders are playing the Hamilton Tiger Cats in the CFL's Grey Cup today so I guess it's a big deal up here although I'm not a football fan.
Being from the "west" in Canada, I'll have to rout for the Rough Riders.

Thinking of making a giant cheeseburger for supper tonight. I might be bad and cook up a handful of baby brussel sprouts with a ton of butter. Are we supposed to use shredded cheese on the hamburger cause I understand we're not suppose to use processed cheese slices, right??

Have a great Thanksgiving everyone.

shelly roasted broccoli sounds fantastic!
re: Swerve -- i looked it up - netrition here sells it - but - it appears to have 5 grams of carbs per teaspoon? or am i reading that wrong. That's crazy!

I am the same weight i was at the beginning of this month and last month, but that is OK because I'm pretty thin - a size 4 or 27 (notice how they're sizing pants like that?)
and wore a size 2 gap shirt the other day! so... I'm good. just a little around the waist and abdomen and i'll be even better.

Hey! You don't have to drink all that water!

Holy Cow, so much to catch up on! Yes, I'm DEFINITELY one of those people that wears a jacket in the 80 degree weather! Total wimp! LOL The BF wants to take the Rhino out to play in the desert for the day on Thanksgiving, so I'm already planning on how many layers I'm going to have to wear so I don't die out there!

I have to say, I do like Honey Boo Boo's family. Yes, I agree, they're crude, but I think the love and loyalty that they have for each other is so healthy and I like that. I'd much rather watch Honey Boo Boo than the Kardashians. I think they're just so much more real. Having said that, I've never actually watched a full show, we just don't watch much TV.

Kemp, you are really rocking it! And I think often about how it will be if we close our business and I go back to work, and it sounds SO appealing. LOL. It would have to be so much less stressful! Of course I wouldn't be able to take the time off that I do now to go and spend time with my kids either, so I guess it's a give and take.

Trini, the holidays at your house sound wonderful! Can I come visit???

I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend! It's my Friday, with my day off being tomorrow, and I'm so ready for it!

DQ: only one more change, come on they are new! LOL

Bonny: I eat sliced whole cheese. If the carb count is less than one carb then I will eat it. Like sharp cheddar slices, or Jack cheese slices. They even have american slices that are low carb that I will eat on occasion. Not kraft fresh sliced from the deli.

Mother goose: I loved having my freedom. I loved it when I had big projects going on. I loved a fat bank account. I hated when I did not work for months at a time. I hated when I did not have any money in bank account. It is a give and take. So for now I am just going to take, give up some freedom. They are a good small family owed business. They had no problem letting me take two weeks for grand Cayman at the end of December/January. No weekends, which is unheard of in homebuilding so I am pretty happy.

Well I just could not sit around all day so about to head to the gym to do some weights and core exercises.

LOL! Bonny-Jean, No Giraffe, but a Rottweiller that is the size of a small horse. Does that count? Yes, a Rhino is a UTV, made by Yamaha, so it's fun to take out in the desert to play. The nice thing about Arizona is that they're street legal, so we can actually use it for more than just off roading.

Yup, Kemp is pretty awesome. Definitely motivating and inspiring!

Mother goose and Bonny: You made me blush. But thanks. I love being able to post here. I have three dates coming up that are super motivating to me. Dec. 20th heading to the hill country Hyatt for a weekend getaway with 5 other couples to play golf and drink and just be away from the kids before Christmas. (well their kids, we have none except dogs) The resorts has heated pools and want to look as good as I can. Will not be thin yet but will not be 270 either. Then on Dec.30th we leave for cayman. Last year when we went I was over 270 and just huge. It was hard to dive and be active. And of course the half marathon on Jan. 19th. 10 days after cayman.

I know I will have a large "plan alteration" on the couples get away but still hope to be around 225 by then. That is 18 pounds in 26 days. Then get back and bust ass till cayman 8 days later. Of course in cayman all bets are off, not a plan alteration just plain off plan. I will continue to train for the Half marathon at all times till the race in Jan. But the less weight I have to carry around on that 13.1 mile course the better.

My super goal, and the reason I am killing myself in the gym is, 219 by race day. That is going to be tough considering I will come back from cayman having gained at least 5 pounds of fat if not more being off plan. I have to run a total of 26 miles while there. I hope that offsets any gains. And to have built up enough fat burning muscle to not just blow up. Sorry so long winded just nervous about work staying on plan. Trying to get all my goals out here so I am accountable to myself and you guys. You all keep me motivated. Very motivated to not cheat or falter. Thanks so much guys.

Firstly, you're welcome. You bust your ass and motivate us so.
Secondly, I have to ask.... why are you gonna go OFF PLAN??? I'm worried and confused. It's none of my business really but isn't that hard on the body?? Killing it to lose the weight and then blowing it on vacation and then killing it at the gym again?? Isn't our weight issues much like alcoholism?? They can't "just drink" when they're on holidays??? Again, I'm sorry for venting beyond my boundaries but this kind of surprises me about you?

Laura, have a safe trip! The crazy things we do when we're in love!

Kemp, WTG! I think you've got the whoosh fairy hostage at your house. LOL But they way you kill it at the gym, you deserve those whooshes!

MissyDee, you've had some great losses. Maybe your body is just taking a breather before its ready to drop some more weight. But you're right about the cold weather, it affects me the same way.

Bonny-Jean, one lb gone is great! Your dinner sounds really good!

DairyQueen, At this point, a number on the scale is meaningless for you because you look awesome! I wish the clothing people would get together and make their sizes the same.

Mthergoos, you are funny! I sometimes will wear a sweater in the 60s but usually a jacket doesn't come out until its mid 50s or lower. I was born for the Arctic and the rest of my family was born for the desert. LOL Have fun on the Rhino.....not sure what that is though.
