I bought a new scale and my new weight was 154.8 (old one said 150) I got a little frustrated with that number and ate some of my sons Halloween candy Now I am 156.6
So new goal is to be at 150 by the end of the month. That is 6.6lbs. I hope I can do that.

Christina: That's ok. Every time you weigh on a new device it will weigh different. Luckly for me my home scale seems to always weigh me heavier than the gym scale. So a win each time I get to the gym. No worries on the candy, just get right back on their.

Well it is the time change. I just realized that I am up an hour earlier than needed...as if 4 am was not early enough to head to the deer camp to hunt, It is at 3:04 am . Of course I am already wide awake prepping my food for the day to take with me and warming up a st. louis style rib for breakfast. Going to try and lay back down for 30 minutes. Have a good one today.

This morning I was 203.4! Excited, sounds like a lot for me but I had been holding @ 206 for a while!

Set my clocks back, slept pretty well... The puppers however did not care that it was now 5am and not 6. Haha!

Eggs on the menu today with so SF Carmel coffee. Leftover LCHF meatballs later... Will see about dinner.

Everyone can do it, still so early on.

Nice drop super86me!

Shelly, I always hold extra water weight when I'm having sinus issues. Hope you feel better soon!

Christina - we are in the same boat with the new scale issue. I moved mine and went up 6 pounds. But reality is you are still the same weight you were or loss the same even though it now says different. Keep going and it will all work out.

Kemp - good luck with the hunting today.

Julie - already down some - whoohoo!

Shelly - probably not eating as much caused the gain. If I eat low for two days in a row, I have found that I gain.

Super86 - Congrats!

I have lost a pound this morning!
11/1 180.4 1st scale move
11/2 184 Final scale move
11/3 183

I was so happy..after being bummed about my scale move. I had thought about breaking out and just eating a bag of popcorn last night at the auction. But I talked myself out of it and didn't even nibble. It sure smelled good though. And then I cooked breakfast for everyone this morning and of course they wanted grits- another favorite of mine but I did good and just ate my 3 eggs and 3slices of bacon. Too many temptations of late.
Stay strong everyone!

good morning everyone! Tomorrow is my first day off since early September!! I am almost in tears I am so tired.

the good news is that the weight is moving downward....

Nov. 1: 137
Nov. 3: 135.5

A friend is visiting and we were going to play scrabble and order in - but i was annoyed that the only places that deliver are pizza, chinese and indian, and i couldn't think of anything that I could trust to eat. So we had omelettes and salad! the perfect dinner.

tonight- who knows? maybe eggs benedict withut the english muffins?

I have to tell you that my friend Mike has lost almost 35 pounds since September, and he's not on any plan. He just stopped eating as much! Men!

Holiday temptations

Stay strong everyone! There are temptations everywhere. Whether it is family or friends visiting that "eat whatever" or preparing family or kids' meals daily, who are also eating differently than you are. Now we have to deal with the holiday treats being shoved in our faces by smiling store clerks...."only 53 days til Christmas, would you like to try some of our bakery sugar cookies?!" The smiling store clerk dressed like an elf said to me! I said, "no thanks" , as I calculated that that one cookie had about 25g carbs...more than my daily carb requirements!

Spent my last day of 37 getting ready to get back on the wagon 100%. Made broccoli cheddar soup, loaded cauliflower soup, jalapeno popper chicken and prosciutto sun dried tomato cream cheese spinach stuffed pork tenderloin to get me through the beginning of the week. My gym is having a seminar on lc eating so I'm hoping that having local people to be accountable to will help...86 days until our winter vacation

Super86: Way to go. KUTGW

Mjgh06: Proud of you for not breaking, not even bending. Way to stay strong.

DQ: Nice drop. And agreed MEN!!!! We do seem to lose easier. I work hard at it but my guy friends that need to lose barely try and lose easier than me.

SkinnyB:
I feel the pain and what you are saying. The next couple of months will be tough. But "NO THANKS" works well.

Passionatefire:
Preparing makes this WOE so much easier that is for sure.

Bulldogmom: Great job on the 5k. I could maybe run walk one right now, but in a week or two I will start running them also.

Well hunting was a success. Worth getting up for. Deer sausage is in my future that is for sure. I make it myself so I know the carb count is super low. I stayed on plan all day with no worries. I forgot that cleaning a deer is a bit of a workout. Hope that shows on the scale in the morning. Other than that all is well. Glad everyone is having a good weekend.

Bulldogmom -
Congrats on our 5k marathon! That is on my list of things to accomplish. While I do jog 2 or 3 miles a couple times a week, the idea of a 5k scares me. I guess it's because I run at my own pace & with my music jamming in my iPod...complete solitude! It's my "me time" for the day without any hubby, kids, dogs or work to deal with.
...one day!

I came close to my October goal of 78kg (got to 78.6) so fingers crossed can get over my blip last week.

Novembers goal is 75kg. I have a target date of 1 February now, have to be bikini ready for Cancun! I think if I can reach 60kg by then, I might be happy. So, that means 18kgs in 3mons, bugger, thats going to be tough. Might have to revise that...

Going to add the gym back in as well, I think it sort of stalls the scales but I feel better lifting and pedaling, finishing off with some powerplating!

Good luck to everyone!

Tiggy: Going to have to look at the conversion charts so I can keep up with your weights. LOL By February you will be plenty ready. Working out will stall scales for a bit but the overall health benefit is awesome. Usually it is just your scale stalling because your muscles are holding on to water to repair the muscle. I work out very hard 4-6 days a week but the scale moves quite a bit for me, but does stall some days after harder workouts. Cancun is fun fun fun. Been there well over 20 times, of course for me it is only 1 hour and 45 minutes away from where I grew up and currently live. That was our high school grad. trip and spring break trips, new years trips, pretty much any reason to leave the states and go down there. Heck I even got married there (for the second time) down there 5.5 years ago. LOL Glad you have a goal and are getting it done!!! Way to go!!!

Tiggy -
You can do it! I share the same goal (bikini ready by January). Hubby & I plan to go to Casa De Campo in February...first vaca in 5 years, since having kids in 2008 and 2010. For me, bikini ready would be 135-140 lbs (about 70 kg). At that weight I am a size 4/6 (36-26-36). I have lost 30 lbs in 3 months from Aug 1 - Nov 1, so 10 lbs a month is doable. You can lose 30 lbs or 15 kg by Feb! I know I will work hard to lose another 30 lbs in 3 months.

Just got back from my son's football banquet and it was catered by Bertucci's Italian restaurant. I had a small salad and some chicken that I hope wasn't too carby. It was pretty hard to skip all the yummy looking pasta and dessert options. I did well today though and kept my carb count low. Hopefully will be back in ketosis soon. I've struggled staying on plan more than a week or two the last few months. Hoping I can get back the intense focus I had the first half of the year! I already got rid of my bigger clothes!

Mjgh06: Congrats on the drop! KUTGW!

DQ: Congrats on the drop! Your dedication to your WOE is always inspiring!

SkinnyB: I agree the holidays will be tough! We can be strong though!

Passionatefire: your menu sounds yummy!! That will make for a great week of eating!

Bulldogmom: Congrats on the 5k! Way to go!

SkinnyB, Kemp, Shelly and Trinigirl - keep up the great work! Your focus and dedication are very inspiring!

Have a great night everyone!

Well been up since 3 am, dead deer cleaned and soaking in the cooler, but I ate a little crazy today for me. Mother in law in town and football Sunday and being tired I just over ate a bit today. So after adding it all up on my food tracker I had 16 net carbs for the day 5 times my normal amount. And I am OK with that. I usually would be freaking out but I am in this for the long haul I keep telling myself. But the carby things were all on plan, oysters, mussels, spinach, Wings from wing stop, web site said it was zero carb but my tracker had it at a carb per wing at 10 wings, ouch. Anyway I am going to bed and hope the scale is happy with me in the morning and if not will get them the next day. Will do personal in the morning. Great job everybody!!!

Haha yes! Yet another good reason to make sure you don't leave the house hungry, such temptations are not as strong that way Good on you for passing it up!

Did the 5k today and still managed to come in under an hour. My foot was killing me but I had fun. I can now sneeze in all the colors of the rainbow. LOL
Hooray! Congrats on your 5k accomplishment! sorry your foot hurts, definitely rest it. I don't run anymore but after I race I would say, get thee to a hot tub!

DQ: Nice drop. And agreed MEN!!!! We do seem to lose easier. I work hard at it but my guy friends that need to lose barely try and lose easier than me.

I feel the pain and what you are saying. The next couple of months will be tough. But "NO THANKS" works well.

Said in my best Homer Simpson voice: Mmmm....deer sausage....hoooohohoho

Julie: Nice two pound drop. That will make your day!!!

Scale was my friend this morning down so very happy about that. I did have a high carb day yesterday so may do about 10 carbs to say to see if I get the same results. It would be nice to have a little wiggle and still lose about a pound a day. Today is a big workout day. Gave the body 2 days off in a row from the gym and today it will pay for its insolence and laziness!!!! LOL So going to do a nice 2-4 mile run then about 45-60 minute weight workout. Hope that keeps the scale moving. Lets have a great week and lose some pounds of fat!!!
