Mthrgoos I think i'll try that. I had Planned on going back to strict induction but that fell away and I didn't. Ugh!

I went to town with my Mama today! I've missed spending time with her! Wore my size 4 Jeans! A bit tight around the waist but not uncomfortable. Exicted that even though my weight is going nutty I can wear those jeans!

Shelly, that's so awesome! I understand wanting to get to a certain number, but if you're wearing size 4, your body may just be very happy where you're at. You're doing amazing and you look awesome!

Had my fitness assessment today at the gym, I've come such a long way since I joined in June Weighed in 3 lbs less than on Monday (7 lbs since Nov 12) and it was suggested that I have a cheat meal once a week. Hubby is very happy with this suggestion. I'll try it tonight and see how I weigh in on Monday. I was told that with the weight lifting the body needs a bit more (50 or so grams) on workout days - after the workout and once cheat meal a week to stir things up. Wish me luck!

Mothergoose: Man you are doing great, don't slow down just keep it up for another 40 or so pounds and you will be there. So proud of you and your focus helps keep me focused.

Shelly: Size 4 jeans!!!!!!! That is awesome. My waist has barely shrunk but I feel that the next 30 days will fix that.

PF: They tell me the same thing. I am fine with zero carb plenty of energy. If I have a cheat day once a week I would only be in fat burning stage maybe 3 days a week. I cheated this past friday night and saturday and it took me till Thursday to get back to my weight before I cheated. Please let me know how it goes. I do remember a time I was down near goal. I stayed on strict 2-3 carb a day, every day, except friday and saturday. I averaged about 1.5 pounds a week loss for 3 months doing it that way. But friday and saturday turned into Fri. sat. sun. and so on till I was out of it all together and back up to 270 pounds!!! Just saying I work out like a mad man and I have never needed any extra carbs. But let me know how it works for you please. Would love to have a cheat day and still lose like crazy.

I think tomorrow will be my last day of double workout days, as I begin work on Monday. Going to try and run before work at 4am and then catch the gym on the way home. I think I may miss my wife and puppies to much. It will be a work in progress. Big life change, hope i do not crumble.

Kemp, no way will you crumble. It may take a few days to figure out a schedule that works for you, but you've totally got this. Being healthy is clearly a priority for you and I know you'll make all this work.

Thanks. One positive is there is a BBQ restaurant on every corner in Texas. So food should not be and issue. I have the half marathon so that training will take over all other weight training if need be. May take a week to figure it out like you said but I will do my best. Nice thing being a builder of big custom homes is you walk lots of stairs and property so that will work to my advantage.

Mothergoose: Every time I look at your stats I just get a big 'ol smile on my face. Man I am impressed with what you have done. I hope to see onderland by the end of January. I also hope the running I do while in cayman will off set all the drinking and eating I will be doing. Only 38 days till cayman. I just hope to be in the 220's by the time I hit cayman. That mean that all my Tommy Bahama gear will fit. Will do my best.

Thanks Kemp! You just made my night! I have no doubt that you'll be rocking your Tommy Bahamas in Cayman, and I hope I can find some of your motivation to start exercising so that next year I can be running that half marathon with my daughter!

THE KEG

Took my ds out for supper and he wanted The Keg, said he needs some protein. I had a bacon wrapped filet mignon medium rare and asked for some asparagus tips. Only ate the top half (don't like veggies). I ignored the yummy "twice baked" potato and the delicious looking sour dough little loaf of bread, ordered water and slipped in a little MIO. I'm pretty sure that meal was okay. Sometimes I feel like I'm cheating when I have a meal like that. Oh my, so good!!

Well I'm not going to met goal for the month. I guess I'm ok with that.. no other choice. I need to find a way to have v-8 and not go overboard with it. I'm testing myself, I have tomato juice in the fridge that I haven't touched today. Not going to touch it until I make my chili.

Mthergoos you are doing so great. You give me inspiration.

Kemp you will do great on your run tomorrow.

Passion I don't know about cheat meals... just cheat v-8...

Shelly those size 4's sound wonderful... I'd be glad just to be in a size 8.

Shelly, WTG on getting into size 4! I can only hope and dream.

Mthergoos, You've done so well! You should be so proud of what you accomplished!

Kemp, I think you'll find that you will still be able to lose well even without exercising as much. I just had to decrease my protein amounts to get the scale moving again.

PassionateFire, you are doing so well too!

Bonny-Jean, you crack me up with some of your comments! Your dinner sounds delicious!

Avaleigh, Glad you said no to the cake. You had a nice drop!

Laura, You're still doing really well whether you hit goal or not. There's no rush to get to the finish line, you will get there!

And to finish the night with a little bit of cuteness.....here's a picture of my youngest daughter with Gunner. He is such a patient and loving guy. We hit the jackpot when we adopted him. I think these two are going to be best buds.

Well I,m so happy those three days are over, it was hectic to say the least, may even harder by my asthma, it,s cold grey and rainy here, wising and praying for sunshine, hoping to o my decorating outside, and the next five days I'm making outdoor pots for clients..also will be doing a big winter wedding in February, l'm so excited..
Now I have be been gone for just three day and I can't believe how busy my friends here as been, from a new boy friend and a boyfriend moving in, new jobs, size 4 jeans, skinny jeans, losses great weight loss mile stones and the sad news of losing not one but two fur babies and friends dealing with ill health, new friends returning friends just life in general, the one foundation that ran though it all was love and support, coming to this thread is a gift that keeps on giving

Passionate fire, you are doing o very well, so happy for you,

Kemp, Congrats on your new job, this is exciting news, and yes you will not fail, I find I do much better with my eating when I,m at work, since I always take my food with me, the only thing I find hard sometime is to keep up with drinking water, (harder now as it grows colder)...

Shelly a size 4 is a size 4, so claim it, OWN that size 4 you have worked long and hard for it and most of all your husband is telling you how beautiful you are, and we are telling you also, I think with all the physical work you do your body has lost ft and is gaining muscle, I've found that it's happening to me as well, I'm suddenly seeing it in my legs, lol..you are beautiful, in and out.

Mycattaz, I pray that your doctors find the cause of your pain soon, and you can get back to our plan, I know how worried you must be but this too will pass, you will be well soon, stay strong, prayers and hugs

Pcaltman, you are brave and will make your long term goal, sometimes it,s so difficult when real life gets in the way, it has taken me a long time to learn as a Mom, I have to take care of myself in order to take care of my family, it,s a difficult thing to do, I struggle with this every day, but I,m getting better and you will also.so happy that you got to spend alone time with your husband, don't stress out about Thanksgiving it always works out in the end.

Tyl i'm so very very sorry to read about the loss of your two fur babies, It wonderful that despite you grief you were able to stay on your setting plan, and saw your personal trainer, I'm sending you hugs and prayers.

You are doing really really great, staying away from that cake, which means more than the weight loss, it means that you are embracing this way o eating and really changing our life..

Thank you for the kind words! I needed a life change desperately. I have never been so overweight, or felt so awful about myself when I was my heaviest. My self esteem was just at an all time low. I'm finally starting to feel hopeful, and like I can change my life with this WOE.

This is what I am thinking, if I do 1 cheat day it turns into 2 then 3 etc. But I'll try it with a cheat meal once a week. We just got home from the pub where I had an order of wings that were slightly breaded and shared an order of pub chips with the hubby. Just one meal and back on plan tomorrow morning. Thankfully my next weigh in is Monday so I don't have too long to wait to see the effects.

PF: Please keep me posted on your progress with all this. At least you know yourself that it can be slippery. Nice thing about working out so much is we can get right back into ketosis quickly after a cheat day. If it is just that a small cheat day. And not all cheat days are the same. Eating a whole dozen donuts is a lot different than eating a 20 carb whole wheat waffle with sugar free syrup. Glad you are doing this to keep me posted. Thanks and good luck

Happy dance!! 45 lbs are gone! I'm 3 lbs away from where I was when I met dh, 9 lbs away from being smaller than him (Thanksgiving dinner might make me a lot closer to that goal) and 40 lbs away from my smallest weight as an adult. I still have 51 lbs until goal though.

I'm thinking that maintenance is going to be something like this for me. One cheat meal a week and the rest on plan.

This was me back in February. You'll get to feeling like your old self soon. The change started happening for me when I could start buying new clothes and ditching the old ones. I didn't realize that I was wearing clothes that I really didn't like, but wore them because they fit. Stick around with this group. There are going to be days (weeks) when you don't want to go on or don't see the point. We'll talk you down from the ledge because this woe can change your whole outlook on life.
