Whether it is the stress of the holidays or dealing with relatives, studies show that the average person gains 5-7 lbs during the holiday months of November & December!
I really want to enjoy Thxgiving dinner & will not worry about carbs, however, the 5-7 lbs scares me, so I think I will eat carbs, but not go overboard. I will try to limit myself to 80g carbs max!

I will make & bring a low carb dessert, so I can stay close to my carb max

Hang in there everyone.

How is everyone else planning to eat during the holidays?

I have one of these too, mine is the band that you strap to your left bicep. I was shocked to see how many calories I actually burn in a day!

Breathing a sigh of relief. We decided to have an impromptu girls' night out. I ordered steak fajitas and just ate a small amount of the onions and green peppers. It tasted so sweet that I was worried they had used a sugar based marinade. My aunt thought it was just the sweetness from the caramelized onions. I hate being this obsessed about food but I don't want to stall for something that I don't even enjoy that much.

Goodmorning... the scales still hanging at 235.. I had 3 banana's yesterday and 4 slices of turkey and cheese... its funny how the banana calms my stomach... but it does seem to be helping... have a doctors appointment this morning.... fun fun...

skinny - I plan on being as low carb as I can. I am having turkey, green bean casserole, Sugar Free Sheila's cranberry sauce, Low carb pumpkin cheese cake and LC stuffing. I will count carbs to make sure I stay low, but that's only because I just got back into the LC way of eating. I don't want to blow it. I will save that for Christmas

Getting really frustrated. Up again, but I have been good so it has to be that Ham. Today is the last of it, so hopefully the water weight will come off. Pc: It will come off just keep at it. Ham stalls me so I avoid it during my early stages. If I do eat any it is very small amounts like 2 oz in my morning eggs once in the last 30 days.

Today is day 30 on plan. Considering last weekends blow out and one day of drinking during the Aggie game I am down 20.4 pounds. Not my normal pound a day, but will take it considering all the weight training I am doing. I did have a big whoosh today so that was good. Still need to lose 6.6 pounds in the next 9 days and I will bust my ass to get it done. I already ran 3 miles this morning and still have a full weight session at the gym later today. So happy everyone is posting and getting ready for the holiday crunch. So happy we all have each other to get through all this. 30 days ago I could barely walk a mile, Today I took 3.5 minutes off my three mile time. Thanks to all. The stats:

Thanks Bulldog. I got up played with the puppies, weighed 246.6, drank some water laced on some running shoes, ran 3 miles, weighed when I got home 244.4!!! I know it was all water weight but was nice to see that number on the scale. Have a great day.

Confession time for me....My father has been worried about having possible cancer, so I started smoking again... He got the test results back finally yesterday and all is clear! Thank God! But now I am a smoker again. You can't just have one to relieve stress, it ends up being two then 4 then a whole pack a day. Really only took me three days to be back to where I was. I knew it wouldn't last long but I had hoped I would have lasted longer than a month.

I quit for over a year then we went camping with some family and my cousins husband was smoking so I bummed one, stupidly thinking I could just smoke 1 and be fine! Nope! I have a presp for Chantix and i'm putting a plan together to start it and keep myself Busy so I don't smoke Or Eat!

Kemp way to go! I'm Praying this pound gone will Stay gone and I won't yo-yo.. Again!

Good Morning Everyone! Woke up to a 2 pound Whoosh this morning! I was really worried that being on antibiotics might mess with my weight loss, but I guess not! I'm at 195 now! I'm hoping that means that I'm far enough below 200 that even if I have a bounce (WHEN I have a bounce would be more accurate!), I'll still be below 200 and never see that number again!

I kept telling myself that once I got below 200 I would start exercising....... it hasn't happened yet. I did download a C25K app on my phone last night..... does that count?

Avaleigh, you are my hero! I seriously don't think I could resist a red velvet cake. That's one of my favorites! Way to stay strong!!!

Skinny, I've heard those same statistics too. Average gain over the holidays is 5-7 pounds and the average amount of calories consumed with a full Thanksgiving meal is 4500 calories! YIKES!!!! I plan on eating only turkey on Thanksgiving and just avoiding the rest. I'll make the turkey with some Kerrygold butter and some olive oil and spices. I LOVE stuffing, and I would normally disregard the turkey completely and gorge myself on stuffing, but this year will be a complete turn around. I thought about taking the day off and eating the other stuff, but I really just don't want to. I'd rather stay on plan and keep getting closer to goal.

Shelly, nice drop! Hopefully it will keep up for you! Good luck with the Chantax! I got it for my BF once, hoping that he would quit since he has COPD, but no. He wouldn't even try it.

Thanks for the support everyone! I had a NSV of sorts. A couple of years ago, a friend of the family was getting rid of some of her high end clothes. I found a sweater set that I really liked and picked it up. My aunt told me that I wouldn't ever be able to wear it because my arms were too big. I was embarrassed because she said this in front of everyone. When no one was looking, I put the set in the middle of the other clothes I was bringing home. Its been in my closet ever since. I tried it on today to see how much more I'd need to lose in order to wear it and it freaking fits! But I have no where to wear it so now what? LOL

Way to go BulldogMom! That's an awesome NSV! I feel the same way, I've been buying all these new clothes that are really much nicer than what I need for work. I could wear jeans and a sweatshirt to work every day and that would be totally fine, but I'm wearing my nice new clothes anyway, just because I can. LOL Isn't fun to finally enjoy your clothes again?

man u guys are some busy posters! Congrats to all the losers! ANd thanks to all in re:my sweet cat. we actually lost both of our boys recently so its been a rough couple months. But when we lost Sam i ate cake, cake and more cake. I didnt do that this time, so at least thats some progress.

will weigh in on friday. staying off the scale for a few days so as not to stress myself out.
