Awesome job! When I read "I got my butt kicked! And I liked it!", it was to the tune of Katy Perry's song, "I kissed a girl and I liked it". Its now stuck in my head.

Howdy everyone!
Coming up for air until I crash-- when was the last day I had off? I can't even remember. I spent the day at an FDA meeting about a new MS drug - tomorrow it's a drug for totally blind people which helps them keep their circadian rhythm working well.
I was able to get an omelet for lunch and still have half of it left - yay.
Last night I went on a sort of date - to see a band called the Flamin' Groovies- a big influence on me and my band back in the day (70s 80s). It was great fun and I saw a lot of friends.

No weighing until Friday morning - i have to get up at 5:30 in order to get to the meetings ! UGGGh.

Good going on all the losers!!!

Lost 40 pounds back then and maintained for almost 8 years...then carb creep crept. I've always been low carb, but went hard core again in March 2012.
Hey! You don't have to drink all that water!

** Mozarella Caprese & Chocolate Raspberry Mousse **

I had to go to a PTA event where they were serving food. We also had the option to bring some snacks. I thought this was a great idea, since they usually have pizza and cookies there!!!
So I decided to make things that I make for my young kids which are healthy and low carb.

Mozarella Caprese...each large mozarella ball is about 6g carbs, which gives about 4 slices. So you can eat 4 of these with the peppers or tomatoes for a total of 10g carbs

Chocolate Raspberry Mousse...made with pureed avocado, unsweetened cocoa powder and stevia...topped off with raspberries...5g carbs per cup.

Dq: You sound super busy. Just cause you said I am going to make a ham and cheese omelet with some of these yard eggs I picked up at the local market. 6 buck.s a dozen but worth the taste for special occasions like my newly invented day Omelet Thursdays!!!

Please tomorrow, please let me see the 30 lb loss marker. (Well, later today technically) I'm really in need of the encouragement! I'm missing real sweets, Iced Mochas with chocolate fudge drizzle...the list continues. I don't know why I am feeling so deprived lately. Those things got me to this weigh, and I know I don't NEED them in my life to be happy, but I really miss them.

Kemp: You are a friggin beast. Keep your head up, you are doing an awesome job.

Ava: Great job. I have cravings sometimes and it just sucks. Not so much that i miss them as much as I remember how awesome they taste. But good attitude because that is what got us into this mess in the first place. Just think about that scale delivering the 30lb loss marker...if you eat one bite of any of that other stuff it derails you for up to a week. And the 30lb marker is just that much farther away.
You can do it!!!

Well not a whoosh but down a pound. Scale is old and was very jumpy today. 246.2, then 246.6, then 247. So I took the highest number. Better than a gain. Today is just a 3 mile run and some core and ab work. Easy day compared to yesterday. Hope to just get a 800 calorie burn. Going to hit the jacuzzi after my run to give these old muscles some extra love. My hammys are stretched tight and need a little massage. Have a good one today. The stats:

NOVEMBER GOAL…. 240

Nov. 01…255
Nov. 02…254
Nov. 03…DNW
Nov. 04…251.8
Nov. 05…251.2
Nov. 06…251.2
Nov. 07…250.4
Nov. 08…249.6
Nov. 09…248.4
Nov. 10…249.0
Nov. 11…246.4 (nice whoosh!!!)
Nov. 12…247.0
Nov. 13…248

Woo Hoo - WTG Mjgh!!! New decade!!

Yay Kemp!

Good luck on the scale, Ava!! You are so close to the big 3-0!!

Princess - hang in there. I hate periods of standstills on the scale. Hopefully you get a new scale and get some movement soon. (((hugs)))

I am still sick. It's awful. I am on a thousand pills it seems and I do not appear to be even the tiniest bit better. I think I need to go back to the doctor. It just stinks!!

Amber: Get to the doctor and get better. Hate you are having to deal with the sicky poos!!!! LOL

PC: I do not have kids but was one, and I totally understand. I heard my brother the other day say he begs for the terrible twos over the horrendous 17's. Good luck and way to stay the course it will come off.

Shelly: Let me know how it works out scale wise. UGHHHH about your appliances, it always seems to happen this way. I pulled the handle off my microwave this morning and was like what the heck!!!! Then I went to turn on my oven the other day and the button to up the temperature stopped working. I was like who did I piss off!!! LOL If these are our worst problems then we are actually doing great is what I tell myself. have a good one.

Parenting & stress eating

Oh boy is parenting tough! I used to stress eat, until a "moms playdate group" made me realize that that I needed a different coping mechanism, since parenting gets tougher as the kids get older. Mine are just 3 & 5 now. Thankfully they are girls, which I am told are easier to handle than boys.

Anyway, we should be proud of ourselves for not "stress eating" and committing to eating low carb, since carbs are the 'go to feel good' foods.

Nov 14....191.6

Too much summer sausage and too much cheese. I've got to get my focus back since I'm letting little things slip and it keeps me in this yo-yo pattern.

Gmorning everyone! I'm in another FDA meeting - this one on circadian rhythms and a drug that is for adjusting the internal master clock in totally blind people, whose sleep really gets messed up.
Did you know that your eyes not only let you see, but are the main regulator of your circadian clock? the conductor of the clock is the brain, but there are circadian clocks in other organs? kind of fascinating!

mmmm kemp i might have another omelet for lunch today! or as a friend used to call, it a BigA+++ salad. can i say it here? BigAss salad? heee
This meeting is so much easier than the MS meeting yesterday, and I bet we adjourn around 4:15 and then I have thrift store plans. Need. new. pants.

Have you thought about lc alternatives for some of your favorite treats? I get a mudslide flavored coffee for my kuerig and when I mix it with hwc, it tasted like an iced mocha. Soooo good! Most recipes can be tweaked to make it lc friendly. Laura has a bunch of good recipes. You're doing great!
