hello everyone!!

i didn't weigh today --
last night we made wings and mike used Crystal wing sauce, which i thought was just like Frank's and very low carb. It tasted sweet, so i checked the label and - yup - 3 grams of carbs per tablespoon. WOW. I'm just glad that I take the skin off- otherwise it would have been a carb disaster.

I threw out the whipped peanut spread and the chocolate peanut horrible whatever. ugh.

today i might try bulgarian kofte (ground pork patty) from the eastern european food truck. theyswear that it is only pork and spices- no filler. they look good!

Lost 40 pounds back then and maintained for almost 8 years...then carb creep crept. I've always been low carb, but went hard core again in March 2012.

Good Morning Everyone! Down another pound today, I'm hoping to get as far from the 200's as possible because I know that bounce is coming!

Trini, I actually ordered that shirt online. There's a place called Greater Good Stores and they sell clothes and things like that, and a portion of the sales go to help feed shelter animals. I've ordered several things from them and really like them.

Kemp, enjoy your tailgating! Stay strong, and enjoy your beer.

Shelly, after all that work yesterday, I would assume that maybe your muscles are retaining some water. Don't let it throw you. You know it will come back down.

DQ, that pork thing sounds VERY yummy!!! If you took the skin off, I bet the sauce didn't even affect you at all.

pcaltman, You will find that it's so much easier with your hubby doing this with you! I know the fact that my BF and I are doing it together makes all the difference for me. I don't have to have any off plan food in the house at all.

BulldogMom, You're doing so amazing and I would guess that your body is just adjusting. I know it sucks though. Lately, I've been taking a few days each week and having just eggs, beef, and my fats and it seems to help. I think that mostly it just helps get rid of any water I'm retaining from eating the bacon and things like that.

Congrats to everyone staying on plan and doing well! You guys are all so motivating!!

Had a great day and stayed on plan. Just finished watching the new Thor movie with the family. They all had popcorn and candy and I had a bottled water with a small pack of almonds. Tough with the smell of popcorn in the air! Thor was great though! Scale was up today due to stupid TOM so that made me even more motivated to stay strong. Hopefully back down tomorrow. I received my low carb bagels and decided to try one. They look just like regular bagels. The reviews I read said they were much better toasted so I toasted it and put cream cheese on it. It was delicious! It had a slightly different texture from a standard bagel but the taste was right on. The package says they will stay fresh for 8 weeks in the fridge and even longer in the freezer. They were expensive but I think they are worth it for an occasional LC indulgence.

Welcome Melmis

Up super early to get ready for tailgate. Will weigh right before I leave. I usually do not weigh until about 6:45 am and religious about that time. Amazingly I can lose a pound of water or more in 1-2 hours of just sleeping. CRAZY!!! When I took the wife to the airport yesterday I left the house at 4:50 am weighed 251.5, got home at 6:30, took a pee pee and a little number 2 weighed 249.8 at 6:45. So will weigh around that time after I prep food for the trip and ice down my beer. Take care of the nine puppies, feed the mama dog, give the puppies some Panacur medicine(they got the runs) feed our dogs, play fetch with Petey and Scraps, keep the old man Butch from barking to much so early in the morning!!! LOL Busy morning, check back in with weight at 6:45 or so.

Hi all,

Welcome all newbies. Nothing new here, just working on menus for this week. I did try a new beef recipe last night for dinner called Mexican beef from Nom Nom Paleo. I was good. The kids put the beef over tortillas, added cheese and ate them. Hubby and I just had it over lettuce.

When I ordered my buns from Netrition, I also ordered glucomannan capsules. They're supposed to help you feel full and help in the bathroom dept. I took some yesterday and did feel like I could eat a little less. But nothing too dramatic with them which is fine. I might have been due for a whoosh or it might have been the g.capsules. Whatever the cause, it feels great to see that scale going down again.
