Goodmorning all... starting October out with 250... setting my goal for 232 by October 31st....

Yesterday was the first super clean day we have had in the past 9 r 10 days... we did slip up a few times at the end.. it was so very little that it didn't mess us up as far as hunger, or cravings... I am so thankful for that... so yesterday was a easy day.. checking later to see if I am still in Ketosis or not.. but I feel like I should be considering the no hunger and craving...

I set my goal at a 15 lbs loss for October.. because I feel I might lose slower this month then last month.. but striving for 20.... already did 1200 peddles on my bike... and yesterday I order me for not making my goal but for being so close a bike that counts calories, miles and so forth... I believe that with all the stress of everything going on held me back from those last 3 lbs and soon I will see 247 counting on it..

Hi, ladies. I'm new to your monthly challenge thread but I'd like to join. I started my LCF journey four years ago this month and I was doing Atkins '72 in the very beginning. I switched over to a rogue version of homeopathic hcg for a while and then after that I did one summer of just eating lots of fruit and yogurt and cottage cheese; things that went well with an active summer lifestyle.

All told, I made it from 235 down to 159. That's when (for whatever reason), I lost focus and began to regain. I don't know how it happened but it did. I have tried to restart diets again and again but my aspirations go "poof" in the wind. But this time, being the exact month I began four years ago, and now having new reasons to lose the weight for good, I feel I can stick with it.

So, for now I will just say that. I will do an official weigh-in in a few days when I can begin this journey. First I have a family thing and then I can set sail. I will look over how you do things here and then try to follow the "outline." I really don't like to set a goal weight for the month cause things don't always come off the way you expect them to and I don't want to set myself up for disappointment. But I will make goals and post what my starting weight is.

Let's have a fabulous October and may this glorious Fall weather continue!!!!

Trinigirl, I hope you are feeling better. So sorry about your time in the hospital.

mycattaz, Sending prayers for you and your family during this time.

I've hit a mental plateau. I've injured my foot so I haven't been able to run like I want which has left me not doing anything. The exercise was more for my mental state than physical state and I'm suffering for not doing it. My first 5k is this Saturday so hopefully it will help me get my mojo back. I'm also feeling the hormonal effects of TOM so I get to start Oct extremely bloated and cranky. I won't ever again complain about a 2 lb loss for a month when it could be a 3 lb gain. So my goal for Oct, get my head back in the game and get to 195 which would be an all time low since starting this woe.

My goal for this month is to reach 199, which is a 12 pound loss. I haven't had a 12 pound loss in a month probably since the spring, so I don't know if I can actually do this, but I'm going to try like crazy! We have started walking every night, so I don't know if that will do anything for the scale, but I think it's good for my overall health.

Pink, maybe you should make some chocolate fat bombs for the times when you're having the cravings and feel like you really have to have something. It might be better for your losses than the chocolate and nuts that you're having now.

Hello everyone! I'd like to join too please. I started Atkins Induction on the 28th of September at 174.8lbs. It's my first time doing Atkins and I'm really hoping for some good results. I feel somewhat weak and nauseous today but am sticking to the plan. I would really like to lose 8lbs this month and my starting weight today is 171.8lbs

I will report my results here everyday. Good luck everyone!

Unless you are thick skinned or strong willed, I would not weigh every day, since water weight can fluctuate 2-4 lbs and be a source of frustration. For me, weekly weigh-ins have worked much better to keep me motivated.

Hello everyone !

I'm in for October also. My goal = 10 pounds gone !

We're going to Vermont for a few days in two weeks. Looking so forward to it. Its our Thanksgiving here in Canada that weekend....and we are leaving on that Monday for 4 days. Can't wait ! We're staying at a beautiful Inn with a fireplace and a balcony overlooking a mountain, the Fall colours should be perfect ! Totally plan to stay on PLAN while away.

Good evening! I would love to come on board. I have LC'd off and on for years and always come back to it. I think some accountability is what I need. I would like to lose about 25. I am extremely active (training for a half currently) so exercise is not the issue. It is planning and making the right choices. I travel a lot and need to be able to do this on the road. I am also a fitness coach and am married with 3 teen daughters so life is super busy, but wonderful!

Boy October sure snuck up on me too!
Welcome to the new folks!
I briefly saw 190 on the scale this morning, but I'm counting it as 190.5.
I lost about 4 lbs. last month, and for me, that is a lot! I am a slooooooow loser But honestly I don't mind, I've been doing LC long enough that the "thrill" of big losses is not as much of a motivator as knowing I can stick with this WOE long term. And being in it for the long haul I know the weight will come off eventually. Heck if I can do 4 lbs a month I'll be ecstatic! It all adds up! But I will take whatever I can get. But I certainly won't turn down a whoosh!

I didn't do a scale goal last month but I think I might for this month. I will stretch it and say 185 - which does happen to be where I got stuck when I started going back up - but I'd be happy to be back there vs. where I was a month or two ago!

Hello everyone! Thank you so much for all the welcomes

A bit about me:

I live in London, I'm a mum of 3 teenagers. I was skinny most of life (putting on a bit after having the children but losing most easily) but then about 5 years ago after moving house and leaving my long term stressful relationship, I started to gain weight rapidly. It was such a shock to me and no matter how much I exercised or improved my diet, I just kept gaining. I went from around 135lbs to just over 200lbs in about a year. I got more and more tired, miserable, irritable and ached all over.

So fast forward to this year when I began to suspect something was really wrong. I did some research and thought I may be hypothyroid. Turns out I was right and I have Hashimotos. At least it explained most of the weight gain. I finally got some treatment and am hoping to lose the rest of the weight now.

I'm guessing that as I've just started Atkins the weight is coming off quickly but will probably slow down soon. I don't think I've ever lost this much in such a short space of time even if it is water weight. This is my 4th day on Atkins.

Hope to put an avatar up soon but am currently using my phone as my cat chewed my laptop charger

Goal for October 164lbs

1st October - 171.8lbs
2nd October - 169.0lbs
