Hello! I've been off for a while due to a 3 week business trip and hectic schedule with my family. It's football season and both of my boys are playing. I've been trying to keep up everyone's posts and everyone is doing great! It is fantastic to see so many challengers!

I've been in more of a maintenance mode recently and I'm trying to get back into induction level eating to lose some more weight. I had lost 50 lbs and was down to 170, but my efforts at maintenance have not been very successful and I'm up a bit. My hope is to get down to 160 then try maintenance again. For me it will likely be a never ending battle!

Great to see everyone posting and supporting each other!

10/10: 176.4

I'm not new to LC or this site, but I am returning for good. Went to doc yesterday and my BP was 140/111! He was not impressed. I had to promise to take better care of myself and start getting some of this weight off.

So back to LC I come. I love this site, idk why I let myself slip away. Thinking of also joining Jazzercise.

So, I'm here for support. To help and be helped. And to change my life for the better.

Howdy, y'all

Susan1030, How is the T25? Is this one hard on the knees? I'm in awe of anyone that can do those workouts.

1moregin, You are doing so great! I think you're consistency with the workouts is inspiring for all of us.

DairyQueen, that is a funny story! Usually when I forget about something in the microwave, it explodes. LOL

pinkcadillac, step away from the chocolate and peanuts. Make some fat bombs!

luvleliz, you'll get your whoosh here soon. Don't you just love how hormones mess with our bodies?

ValidRouge, congrats on the whoosh! You're doing awesome!

Fluffy, welcome back! You got this!

ShrinkingAmber, I'm glad you went back down. Its so frustrating when you know you're doing everything right and then TOM comes along to mess with our bodies and our minds. Hope your lip feels better!

Julie1972, Glad to see you back! My weight will be a never ending battle also even if I get to the point where its just a battle with my mind.

Alero, For whatever reason some people need to take breaks from time to time. So glad you found your way back.

For anyone I missed, great job! I love seeing the losses! And as much as it sucks to see anyone gain, it makes me feel better knowing that I'm not alone in the yo-yo cycle.

Amber, if you have coconut oil around, you can rub it on your lip and it will help.

WB Fluffy, Julie and Alero!

10/5 Induction start weight - 200lbs (weighed at the DR. office)
10/8 192.1 lbs (weighed at home, day 4 Induction)
10/10 186.6 (weighed at home, day 6 Induction and TOM) feeling horrible today.

Congrats to everyone losing! And those who aren't, you'll get there soon. Don't give up, and keep it going strong.

What do you drink? Next to air, water is the element most necessary for survival. A normal adult is 60 to 70 percent water. Without water, we'd be poisoned to death by our own waste products. When the kidneys remove uric acid and urea, these must be dissolved in water. If there isn't enough water, wastes are not removed as effectively and may build up as kidney stones. Water also is vital for chemical reactions in digestion and metabolism.

October Goal - Lose 6 lbs. (at the least)

Oct 1- 179.5
Oct 7- 177
Oct 10- 176.5

Since the 1st I cheated 2 times by eating some peanuts. Both times I was lighter on the scale the next morning. Not sure what's up with that. Maybe I need to up my carbs. Sunday technically ends 2 weeks of Induction for me, probably the cheats should keep me on longer, however, I'm going to up my net carbs by 5 next week and see what happens.

T25 is very challenging but not as difficult as Insanity, That said, it truly is not for beginners and it could be challenging to the knees. Definitely one to work up to for sure. With my travel schedule for work, I love it as it is very quick, very intense and total body and easily done in a hotel room. I am a huge fan as you can see, but I am a BB junkie anyway with most of their programs!!!!!

LOL, water with something in it...tea, mio, anything without aspartame. So I guess it's just plain water that makes me gag.

I need some things to stick in my desk drawer at work to keep me on plan. (I have a whole empty drawer I can use. I'm not usually big into snacky stuff. but I need to get that way.

I have access to a kitchen but I can't really keep personal items cold. I can use the microwave tho. and even cook if I have to.

I can think of almonds, which I know aren't really induction, and canned mushrooms which I can do a million things with. pork rinds.....

I am seriously drawing a blank here. suggestions please? thanks

Saw the Callenetics thread. Gonna start that today since my usual 40 min treadmil workout is making me exhausted. Gonna do Callen Pinkey's 10 n 10 challenge twice to get 20 session by the end of the month. Hopefully I will see a dramatic transformation like those ladies are. Another challenge for myself, I know if I write it down (type it) I will stick to it more.

Those muffins do the exact same thing to me! I made one and snuck it into the movie theater, the next day, my weight was up 2 lbs also. It'll come off soon but dang if it isn't frustrating.

How about some Quest bars? Some people have issues with them and some don't. I had one and was still down the next day. And it was good! They also have some sf jello that doesn't need to be refrigerated. Beef jerky?

I have the slim in 6 program but never finished it. The kids kept coming into the room and bugging me so I stopped. Now that they're back in school, I need to pick it up again. I've just been doing the treadmill but I really want to do something different. Call me crazy, but after watching American Ninja Warriors, I want to get moving like that. (Is it possible to hit a mid-life crisis at 38?) LOL

BulldogMom - Yep, I should have known better with the flax. Tried the Nopalina stuff a few months back for my breakfast and I looked 5 months pregnant by the end of the week.

About the mid-life crisis at 38, yep me too. I want to be a perfect size 4/6 with muscles and drive a fast car. Don't know why just do!

...from flab to fab!

We can do this ladies!
My friend was over 200 lbs and is now 125.
She eats low carb...Atkins/South Beach and does weight training 3x a week.
She is my inspiration. We are both in our mid-30s with kids. I am counting down the days until I can throw away my "mommy oversized Tshirts" that I live in!

Oh ok. I had a college roommate who only drank diet cokes & never drank ANY water. Needless to say, she ended up in the hospital with kidney stones.
Btw I add a little bit of lemon to mine (helps to flush out excess water)

Yea, no soda for me. When not on induction I drink water with cranberry & lemon juice mixed in it with a little splenda. Keeps me running to bathroom all day.

Water is good, but you don't need massive quantities of it. I rarely drink water and live on diet pepsi. LOL. It's the one thing I won't give up. Thankfully, it doesn't hurt my losses any, but everybody is different. You just have to find what works for you.

Julie, so glad to see you back! I was wondering how your trip went and if you were able to stay on plan while you were gone. Glad you're home safely!!

Shelly, the yo yoing is frustrating, but at least we're still moving on to lower numbers! Hang in there!!

I have access to a kitchen but I can't really keep personal items cold. I can use the microwave tho. and even cook if I have to.

I can think of almonds, which I know aren't really induction, and canned mushrooms which I can do a million things with. pork rinds.....

I am seriously drawing a blank here. suggestions please? thanks
- Pepperoni slices that come in a ziploc bag
- Cheese sticks or cubed (already packaged into 1oz cubes or sticks)

Target sells lunch boxes with ice packs that can keep items cold for 8-12 hours.
Many people in my old firm used to keep their salads at their desk in these lunch boxes, since there was no room in the fridge.

She is my inspiration. We are both in our mid-30s with kids. I am counting down the days until I can throw away my "mommy oversized Tshirts" that I live in!
WOW! I needed to see these pics. She looks fantastic! I'm going to start strength training to see what that does for me. I just really really really hate weights.

Ok so I'm typin from the new house. It's so much bigger then the place we were at. I have all these kitchen cabinets. I think I filled most of them, maybe one left. Now waiting on the ex roommate to come install a few things like my spice rack. Everything hurts today! Muscles I didn't know I had! Most of the boxes are put away though so almost there. Still don't' know where I'm gonna put my cookbooks. Not somewhere Important cuz I don't use them anymore. Unless I'm converting a recipe.

to the new folks. This is a great thread!
