Kimi - definitely try to stay on track. They have a lot of options usually at the hospital cafeteria, and if not, bring something with you if you can. Good luck and I'll have you and your son in my prayers.

Bulldogmom - Try the pizza crust made from cheese. I use Linda Sue's recipe and it is great! But I love thin crusts. She has a lot of other crust recipes there as well.

For my check-in: I don't weigh everyday.

10/5 Induction start weight - 200lbs (weighed at the DR. office)
10/8 192.1 lbs (weighed at home, day 4 Induction)

Don't know how accurate the change is between Dr and home, but at least I have lost something.

Congrats to everyone losing and keep at it even if you are not currently losing!

I am up 2lbs but I am not sweating it. I've been doing a lot of pretty physical work around the house and what not, so maybe my muscles are retaining water or something.

I'm using whatever had the lowest carb count. It was 5 carbs per 1/4 cup and I don't quite use 1/2 cup. I'm splitting the pizza into quarters too. I think its the cheese that gets me. For some reason I won't lose if I eat cheese. I'll keep this recipe for special occasions and just expect a gain the next day. As far as the cholesterol if it goes up, I won't change what I'm eating too much since its what is bringing the weight down and making me feel tons better. I just don't want to be on meds. Fingers crossed my cholesterol is fine though. Everything else like blood pressure and pulse rate improved.

Well today I'm back to 217 up 1lb somehow. DOn't know what happened. I ate right yesterday. I guess that's how it goes.

I made caulifried rice last night to go with my pork steak and it was really good. I'm not convinced it's rice by any means but it was tasty

Running late tonight. Didn't get to sleep until after 2pm so not enough sleep. 2 great things to celebrate....

I have now lost 51.2# YAY!!!

I signed a lease today! I get to move in tomorrow! It has a hugh master bedroom and bath, a fireplace, and the floating laminate wood floors I like so much... at least until I can have real wood floors. Anyway I should be out of here tomorrow and back to mostly stress free... well if you don't count work.

Getting frustrated a now. I've been bouncing around with these same numbers for almost 6 weeks! It started when I had to cut back on the running because of my foot. My doctor says if all else fails, he might have to do surgery (minor). So one more 5k and then I'm taking time off until we get this sorted out.

Morning everyone!!!

I spent Monday and Tuesday sorting, cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and bagging clothes for goodwill, and it doesn't look like i've made a DENT! oh well, my hat collection is now dust free! heee

mthrgoos-- On LDL elevation being temporary while eating low carb – yes I’ve read and heard that anecdotally and the only way to figure it out is to keep on low carbing and see where you are at 8 months or so. In the meantime, there is continuing controversy over LDL and whether lowering LDL levels really decreases risk of heart failure…… so, as long as you are losing weight, you are getting healthier, is how I see it, until it's sorted out.

Oh i forgot to mention a funny thing -- i had a tiny bit of parmegianno cheese in the fridge-- and it was so hard i couldn't cut it -- it was about a half inch of cheese and the rind, so i put it in the microwave with the thought of softening it a little bit. I forgot all about it until the minute timer went off and i opened the door and the thing was a fist sized puffball! i sawed it into pieces and, you know, it was sort of delicious! i don't think i can replicate it again, though! haha!

Wow, this group is amazing!!!!! You guys are all doing so awesome and are such an inspiration for me! I love getting on here and reading and catching up and learning lot's of new little tricks for success. It is such a nice break from my crazy busy day!!!
Having a good day; need to get a snack tho. I get pretty hungry mid afternoon. That also helps fuel my workout. Focus T25 cardio on tap this evening!

I have to weigh every day too. I measured my belly, the only body part that I measure, and I did lose 1 1/2 inches in 3 wks time. Just don't know how my weight can basically stay the same for 6 weeks if I'm losing inches. So I'm with you and hoping there some whooshes that go around for all of us. I'm sick of the 90s which is too close to 200, which is too close to my highest point.

Yes Trini we are! I'm More then ready to cut that stupid Yo-Yo string! I had my daughter home today. Poor kiddo gets The worst menstural cramps! Makes me so glad that I personally don't have to deal with that Ever again! Trying to get my Water in today! But for some reason I just don't wanna drink it today.

Well you all were right. Back down I go. Stupid TOM. (grumbles)

Back down to 216.
I'm kind of irritated because for some reason I hadn't been writing down my weights but whatever I know I've lost and I'm happy enough with that.

Made pizza using cheese, cream cheese, parm, egg and spices. It was one of Linda's recipes and it was good. Being so new it didn't taste like bread crust to me but it was good. I also made a mock french toast this morning that was tasty.

My fail for the day is I burned my bottom lip with a hot spoon. OMG how the heck??? I have no aloe either so I am not gonna be lookin good soon. lol
