Thanks again everybody! Trinigirl, as soon as my legs stop killing me, I'm back to training. I have the Color Me Rad race in a month. After that one I probably will wait until spring before doing anymore. I probably have the slowest time of the day but it still did something for my self-esteem. One of this month's goals was to get my head back into the game and this race did it for me.

mjgh06, Sometimes with this woe, the success comes from how we feel and not what we see on the scale. It sounds like you are doing great!

DQ, feel free to clean my house too! I did a big clean last week but the kids and animals seem to like the mess.

Trinigirl, I hate that bloated feeling but you know it'll soon go away.

Shelly, you are doing awesome! Have fun making that chest. I bet its going to be beautiful!

christina6281, I hate working out too. Somehow I got suckered into signing up for some 5ks and that kept me constantly training. I still hate it but I'm making it all fun.

mycattaz, thinking about you and your family. Don't worry about us here, we'll still be around when you have time to come back and chat.

Laura, you are doing great!

Susan hope you feel better!

Everyone else, you're doing great too! Hang in there!

I think I did well eating wise this weekend. Hubby did well too since I made all his food.

Congrats to everyone who lost or maintained over the weekend. Weekends are so hard for me since we usually go to a restaurant to eat with the family on either Fri or Sat.

Hi everyone!

I'm back on the boards after a lengthy absence. Met my goal in 2007, kept pretty close to my goal weight and even below for quite awhile. I found though that about twice a year I would find myself 10 lbs up, and needed to get back to induction. Well, you know this story, right? Four days ago I found that because I had not been weighing myself at all, and because I wear comfortable clothes that I was up 16 lbs! Ouch! So here I am, on day four of induction.

Thanks for all your support.

Bella

Of course, my idea of exercise is walking to work, so what do I know
I would love to start skating again but l can only skate outside right now and all the sidewalks around are cobblestone. I get back to the States in Dec and will start as soon I as I can and hopefully get back on a team. It is a really good workout and so much fun.

At least there wasn't a gain. So many new posts. Glad everyone had a great weekend.
Lot's of good news going around too. Made meatballs, taco salad, mock potato salad got most of my cooking done for the week. Now, just to stick to it and eat right.

b: 2 eggs, 1 bacon, coffee (last cup for two weeks)
s: string cheese and cucumber with chipotle ranch
L: chicken with salad
s: so far just asparagus, but I cooked it and need to eat it up.
D: ???

I feel you on the video. I was doing the 30 day shred and only got to day 13. but had a neck injury so instead of making it worse I stopped doing the exercise. Now I am starting again tonight. It doesn't help that as soon as I started my hubby got on vacation from work so he is home every night for a month. the "my" time is no longer. LOL. But he has left the room so I can work out.

After a summer of cheating most weekends (and many week days), I'm ready for another challenge (if you'll have me back)! Thankfully the 2 hours/week of kettlebell workouts has kept the gain away (body fat is actually down slightly) I'm ready to get to my ultimate goal. I'll only be weighing in at the gym so I can track both lean body & fat mass but will try to get into the habit of checking in daily again.

My last weigh-in was 192 & I'm hoping to make it to 185 by the end of the month.

I have my treadmill in front of the tv in the bedroom. So that helps. But when I can, I swim with the kids and do a few laps in between entertaining them. Soon I'll head to the playground and do some workouts there.

If you really can't get motivated to do 30 min, look into tabata training. On youtube, there is a video called "The World's Fastest Workout" posted by diethealth. Its a 4 minute long HIIT workout and its tough! I've tried this workout and can't get past a minute because of the moves. I think you could do different moves though and still get the benefit.

mycattaz YAY!!!!!!!!!! I'm so glad it's finally there.

Ok so I've been dealing with major stress all weekend. My roommate announced Friday night at work that he was moving out this weekend. I am not on the lease so I have no reason to be here once he moves out, but he's telling me I can stay the month until I move to the new place. Then 2 nights ago he announces that his account is 300.00 short. This just happens to be my rent money, which he hasn't paid to the landlord. So I'm freaking out all weekend not knowing where I'm going to go and what is going to happen to me, the little boys or the freezer full of meat. Yes I'm worried about the food. Today I got notice that I got my loan to pay first month and deposits and I go fill out the application tommorow. So I should be moving starting tomorrow. The silver lining here is that hopefully John can get here sooner now.

Susan Hope you feel better soon . I've had several friends talk about sore throats lately.

Skinny Thanks! It's not even so much they don't respect my way of eating. They don't know because I started after I moved. I told m mom and I think she'll try to accommodate my needs as best she can. We shall see

Trinigirl Thanks! Yeah I think it should be ok. I'm bringing some of my staples with me and I'm gonna hit the store when I get there.

Shelly That salad sounds great! I am totally going to make that!

Christina6281 Adding exercise is a great goal! Baby steps are better than no steps. I really want to pick up that hip hop abs dvd. I love anything that has to do with dancing.

Bella Welcome back! You'll get to the goal soon

Happy I'm down a pound today. I didn't lose yesterday but I think a bad run in with aspartame sweetened jello really messed things up.

A friend who is leaving to Australia for 6 months wanted to go out to dinner last night at a local bar. I miss beer I had steak and coleslaw and was starving! I think the slaw had sugar in it or something or I was just having a bar food craving.

I started a blog yesterday for my weight loss. I hope it'll help me chart my progress so I can look to it (and anyone else who wants to) when I'm feeling frustrated.

I don't know how I did that but it feels good. I had oral surgery today though and trying to eat only mash-able foods made my choices difficult, I came in at 15 net carbs but upped my fat to keep calories up.

I'm afraid to chew anything. Hope I heal fast.

Hi everyone! Just popping in to say hi. I'm going to be at the hospital all week with my younger son who is having an operation. I don't know if I'll be able to stay on Atkins while there so may have to re-start on Monday. Will post all my stats then. With all the stress of the operation it's very likely ill put weight on anyway I usually add at least 5lbs whenever something worries me but will do my best.

Hope everyone is doing well. See you back here on Monday.

Bella
Scrambled eggs, mashed sardines and oil, mashed cauliflower with butter and bone broth, halibut, finely chopped mushrooms. Everything was cooled off to lukewarm, coffee had to cool off also. I made a cold soup out of celery, cream cheese, and whey powder by tossing it all in a food processor.

Good luck with your implant!

Hi girls,
Just a quick check in.... Rough travel day yesterday with all the storms that came through the east coast. Makes flying a little challenging. Ended up having to take the 0545 flight out this morning (too damn early!!!!) But, I am at the client and getting to work so that is all that matters. I will catch up on the posts later and check back in. Have a wonderful day ladies.....

Kimi, sorry to hear about your son's surgery, but you absolutely can stay on plan while he's in the hospital. You have to take care of yourself so that you're healthy to take care of him. We're all here for you if you need to vent or worry or stress, but you can stay on plan, and you'll feel better if you do. (((HUGS)))

Pizza in any form seems to make me gain. I've tried the cauliflower pizza crust with no luck and last night I tried the chicken pizza crust. Oh well, I'm done experimenting with crusts since its more than likely the sauce and cheese that my body doesn't agree with. I went to the dr this morning for bloodwork. I'm really nervous about my cholesterol results. I know that this woe is supposed to lower your cholesterol levels but there's a small part of me that can't believe eating half a dozen eggs a day will be good for me. Not to mention my daily dose of bacon. Maybe I'm more nervous I'll have to stop eating them.

Good luck with your implant!
Thank you! I hadn't thought of eggs. Maybe butternut squash soup too. They are putting me on high dose antibiotics so I will also need to have yogurt. Only a couple of days like this hopefully!

I make a pizza crust out of just cheese and eggs and my BF likes it a lot. What are you using for your sauce? I usually buy a small can of Tomato Sauce that has the oregano and Italian seasoning in it, and use it VERY sparingly on the pizza just to give him a little bit of the flavor of it without a lot of carbs.

As far as cholesterol, my BF has had his cholesterol go from 180, to 144! And he's been doing this WOE since March. Now my cholesterol has gone up some, which is a first for me, but I've read a lot about how when you're actively losing weight, the stored fat that your body is releasing does include hormones and cholesterol too. So it's not unusual to see an increase in your cholesterol while you're losing because your body is releasing some of it that has been stored. Then, once your done with the majority of your losing, it should go back down and level out. So even if you see a temporary increase in your cholesterol, it doesn't mean that you should change what you're eating, give it time to level back out.

I'm not sure if I explained that all properly. DQ may have a better way of explaining it or better information about it.
