Skinnyb12: You are going to make your goal I just know it. And if you do not then keep trying you will get there. And remember the scale is not the only measure of success. Inches matter big time. Keeps me motivate do to see post like this that show a hard dedication to this WOE.

Mjgh06: I love animals as you well know, grew up in a small town now live in the middle of a huge city. I am an avid outdoors man so I get out as much as I can. I am jealous you have all those animals.

Those little guys are very cute, just went out there and hugged everyone of them. The puppy breath is in full effect.

ugh -- yes i had a nice little whoosh but I'm back up today, although I don't feel it.
what kind of pups are those kemp?

Bulldogmom- my beloved Chloe, who died in September from cancer, was half golden retriever and half choc lab. My new pupster, Daisy, is lab - she has to be trained from zero. She can't catch with her mouth, she doesn't know the word NO (well, after a week now she sure does!), she didn't know how to go up and down the stairs at first, didn't know sit. seriously! but she's a doll and totally trainable. I just need some good time with her. I have not had a real day off since the beginning of September.

Lost 40 pounds back then and maintained for almost 8 years...then carb creep crept. I've always been low carb, but went hard core again in March 2012.

I have to consciously tell myself that as I stick to the plan, yet at times see water weight gain reflected by the scale numbers going up.
I just keep my "skinny jeans" and a tape measure to keep me motivated, as I can see losses.

Dq: Those are what I like to call Heinz 57!!! 57 different species and spices!!! LOL Moms can get pregnant from multiple sires and that looks like the case here. But if I had to put a label on it I would say some Shepperd, with some lab, a touch of Rottweiler, with a little beagle mixed in and some alaska malamute for good measure to explain the fur. And a ton of cuteness!!!!! LOL

Evertd: Way to go to bed early. I do not remember where, but I read that sleep is key for the body to do everything well, including weight loss. Great attitude!!!!

I didn't have a whoosh this morning but was back down to 241.. so maybe in the morning I will be down another lb or two... would love to see 239...

I know I might sound discourage, but really I am not... I have always been a daily weigher, but it keeps me accountable..... so for me its routine to get on the scales in the morning...

after losing all this weight, I know that its a rollercoaster of ups and downs and complete stops... so its ok.... I take it as it comes... but I do need to set my goal alittle lower this next month... think I am going to shoot for 10 lbs.... that way if I go over I will be soooooooooo happy

I really thought the weight loss would go good the second month, and its has not been too bad... I am happy with it for the most part... Dh is all into it again after much battle over the scales and not losing, he is really seeing it in his cloths and loving it... he also told me today that just the way he feels is all worth it...that was priceless itself....

Mycatzz: What a great attitude you have. That is such a positive way to look at things. I am on the scale every morning without fail. But I do not just judge myself by that alone. Do I feel good, do my pants fit better etc. as you well know. But I cannot wait to see 239 myself. It is only a short 24lbs away!!!! LOL a couple months I am sure but at least we are busting our humps to get there. Your post keeps me motivated

Laura: Love your furbabies!!! Lots of dog lovers here with great motivation to lose some poundage. Speaking of poundage you have lost almost 3 pounds in the last three days, way to go girlie!!!

Day 6 is in the books and I am happy that I have stayed on plan 100 percent. Had the brisket, smoked chicken and beef ribs for lunch, so I am pretty meated out. Ate all this at neighbors house while they all drank beer and watched football I drank water and ate enough brisket to choke on. Had three scramble eggs for dinner. Starting the full on tracking tomorrow with all my food so that will be fun.....not!!! LOL But it keeps me on track. Lets all have a great week!!!!

We had lunch at Church today and got a lot of comments that I wasn't eatting and was getting "To skinny" mind you I had a plate with salad, Ham and a piece of chicken with the skin removed so the batter was gone. Umm I was eatting plenty but I guess less then most cause their plates were Filled with pasta, chicken, sugary ramen noodle salad etc. Oh well I think i'm finally getting to where I can let those comments slide off my back better. Funny how No one had any comments for me before when I was Obese and 207 lbs!

Shelly, that is my biggest fear about losing weight. I was always so self-conscious of what others said when I was "skinny". I took it to heart when someone would say you are to skinny, or you could gain some weight, even if I was at a healthy weight. Now being overweight and when I was Obese, no one said anything. So I feel so much more comfortable being overweight - I know funny huh. But most everyone in my family and my DH family is overweight, and somehow that just makes me feel fit in better, more comfortable.

If anyone wants to look at what I have eaten daily over the last 3 weeks, I recapped it in my journal today. I pretty much tracked everything I could think of.

My Mom and Dad are 2 states away. They haven't seen me in like 9 months but my Mom thinks that 145 is too skinny for me. But I'm at 193 now and have a lot of fat to get rid of yet. I don't see that all the fat I still see on my body will be gone in 47 more pounds. I told her my body will let me know when it's about done losing fat, my weight loss will slow and all but stop.

I was scared that I would wake up to a gain. We went out for my aunt's birthday and you would think a seafood place would be safe. The menu was small and everything was either breaded or fried. Dh is low-fat and had a hard time finding something. This place didn't serve steak and the only burger had a mix of crabmeat and other things. Its the first time I ever left a place hungrier than when I went in. I had a small salad which I didn't finish because I didn't trust the dressing and a few crab stuffed mushrooms. At least the meal didn't cause a gain.

Mjgh all of my aunts on my Moms side of the family are naturally thin. My mom's overweight but not horribly. She's big in the booty Lol! My Dad is Obese and i've tried to get him to read wheat belly since he would Live on crackers, bread etc. I know for the most part the comments are coming from a place of love and I Do look really differant then I did @ 207 lbs but I really wish they'd keep their comments to themselves!

Thank you Kemp... I just a lb away this morning... maybe tomorrow...

The scales do not tell the whole truth.... I know my sewing machine has been keeping busy lately taking things up... I even went through my closet and got rid of some things, I will not be needing them anymore... More determine to make it then ever... Kemp 24 lb you will be there before you know it.... just keep hanging in there you are going to make it

Shelly I don't eat at church, I try to find things to keep me busy like fixing people a drink or getting their plate and putting them in the garbage... I am scared of the hidden carbs..

LauraDavis , mjgh06 its funny cause I have a problem when people start telling me I am too skinny... I too take it to heart and somehow start gaining again.....

the funny thing is after I had lost alot I guess around 150 my husband or family members would be standing a few yards from me in a crowd and couldn't find me.... I guess they were still looking for the old me.... that person is dead and gone...


Oh did I mention I am down to 240 today

Bulldog that is the reason I am scared to eat out... Dh still likes going out but me I am scared of the food.... and I am a very tight person when I go out... don't like spending the money if I can't eat it...haha

Bulldog: That is a tough situation food wise. You did your best. And dressing is a deathtrap for me. I just cannot trust it if it is house made and they cannot tell me the ingredients or if it does not come out of a bottle that I can see with my own eyes. No worries it will all be ok.

I am surrounded by skinny in shape people. I understand what everyone is saying. My brother eats fast food almost every meal, narry gains a pound. Same with most of my cousins etc. When my immediate family gets together for thanksgiving which is 70 plus people just on my moms side (Italian catholic we are) I am one of the fattest that is for sure. My nick names are "fatboy" "buoy" and "FA" for fat ass. But I am extremely thick skined and although it stings a little I let it slide. And when I try and get thin they are very supportive and mention often how they wish I would stay thin and stop the yo-yo cycle. They want me to be around and healthy for a long time which they say and it makes me feel great. It is funny however that when I get down near onderland they all say that I look way to skinny. They are just so use to me being bigger I guess.

On the plus size (no pun intended) I had a mini whoosh and lost two pounds as of this morning.

I have a cousin named Sarah who is 1 yr clear of colon cancer. She's 43! Her diet is Horrible! Breakfast and lunch and snacks are chocolate bars and diet dr pepper! Literally! She will grab a hand full of those mini chocolate bars and a 20 oz diet dr pepper and she's set. Her cancer dr told her to stop eatting that way but she won't! We look a Lot alike now that i've lost weight (we're actually double first cousins lol) she asked me awhile back what kinds of foods I ate so i'm Praying she'll be open to changing her diet to more healthy foods.
Kemp I Hate those names they call you! I was always told I was shaped like my Grandma! She was short and obese! Loved hearing that! Not! She should have been on thyroid meds for over 40 yrs but No dr put her on it after her thyroid was removed! until a young dr discovered the mess up and she lost a Lot of weight after meds!

Shelly: Yea ain't family great!!! Actually I love my family it is the only one I got. Hope your double cousin takes your advice. Lets keep losing.

I am heading to the running store with the wife today to get a new pair of running shoes. We are signed up to do a half marathon at the end of January. a few years ago while training for a full marathon I got into and accident that broke my ankle, tore some tendons and did some nerve damage. I actually did a 14 mile run the morning of the accident and met my wife that afternoon, and that night I had the accident!!! I have been doing therapy and treatments off and on to get back and be able to do at least a half marathon. So today is the day I start the process of seeing if my feet can handle the pounding!!! If not then back to the stair stepper and hitting the weights. Lets all have a great week!!!

haha... I just noticed it and when I posted it I notice you said it... I really don't get hungry much anymore... but I do try and eat.. and trying to make sure I get the fat in my diet... I could live off of turkey rollups.. but I know I need more fat then that...

OMG, I love all the cuteness in the last few pages. Furbabies are so precious!! I fully plan to adopt a puppy in a few years. Waiting for DS to get a bit older first.

Mycatz - good work on your losses!! And I could totally live off of turkey rollups too. It's one of my favorite foods on LC. Turkey w/ cream cheese, turkey with mayo, turkey with pickles and bacon, etc. I could change it daily and be a happy girl.

Kemp - WTG on the woosh!! Have fun picking out new running shoes. I love doing that. I ran a 5k a few weeks ago and want to do a 1/2 marathon sometime next year. I signed up for another 5k in January already. And your puppies are adorable. I wish I could come get some puppy breath but you are too far from me.

Bulldog - your new doggies is adorable. I love the name too. And WTG on that awesome weight loss for October. It's very impressive!!!

As for me, I had a great weekend on plan. It was emotionally hard (family issues), but I stayed strong. My gift to me and my child will be a healthy weight in 2014. I dropped 1.5 over the weekend and I'll take that. I have a long way to go, but with LC I know I'll get there.
