I know I don't usually weigh everyday, but I have so been wanting to get under the 180 mark. So I weighed again this morning, and I am owning it. Goal MADE! My shirt size is now Large and pants a 14/16.

morning everyone!!
I like Ralph! We just adopted a lab rescue- she was almost dead when she was discovered in a high kill shelter in SC -- She came as Chiara but her new name is Daisy!

I didn't weigh this morning because i overslept and was supposed to be at work at 6am!!
last night the party for benny was fun- wine and cheese. don't know if it stalled me, but i feel pretty thin today. We'll see tomorrow morning! tomorrow night i fly to san diego again, this time for a rheumatology conference. ugh. very difficult
later!

First started Atkins April 1, 2002.
Lost 40 pounds back then and maintained for almost 8 years...then carb creep crept. I've always been low carb, but went hard core again in March 2012.

Mgjh6: way to go getting into the 170's!!!

Bulldog: I have 9 puppies right now to name so I understand that. It is about 50/50 on if it sticks or not when they get adopted. We usually will pick a letter and name them all that. This time it is "W" so Wolfie, and wilbur and wicket etc. Chime in anyone on W names. I can post a pick of the litter if you guys want. Anyway I voter for GATOR I love that name.

Down another pound today so that is good. Will be excited to get into the 250's soon.

So far so good today. Been a little hard. After doing the yard for a couple hours this morning I have settled in to watch some college football and been having the munchies!!! Stayed focused so far. And of course with my wife coming out of the flu, she wanted Mcdonalds!!! I could smell the fries from the kitchen!!!! She did try and say sorry a lot. LOL Stayed focused however.

OH and the constipation is heavy today also. Day 5 so that is about right. Been heavy on the Pyhlumsylum husk supplements so hoping that does the trick. Forgot that was the last hurdle to smooth sailing on this WOE. I like to go very slow on supplements to try and get things moving so the body adjust quicker and I do not have to take them at all. That is 1 carb per dose towards my total carb count. Ughhhh.

Kemp good job avoiding the french fries. My son's first dog was Wilbur, he was such a good dog. We lived on a second floor apartment when he was little. We did not have a child gate for the stairs. There was a set going down to the door and a set going up to the third floor. Wilbur would lay in front of the steps and then when my son would try to crawl over him he would stand up and it would knock my son back on his little butt and he would stop trying to get to the stairs. Plus it was super cute.

Mycattaz just remember the scale keeps going down for the most part. You are lighter than you were a month ago even a week ago. Our bodies do this weight loss the way they are comfortable doing it and you're gonna have to be good with the scale weight down ya get and the sizes you're going down. When I get discouraged I get out the tape measure. It makes me feel so much better.

MtherGoos you're right this isn't like Trini at all. We need to say prayers for her.

DQ I want to see pics of Daisy.

Alex you'll get there just keep going and it'll come off.

Just got home a little while ago. Spent all day with my MIL and 2 of my SIL's and my kids. Shopping for my girl a dress for her first dance! Makes me So sad! Ate a big salad for lunch so I don't think i'll even need Or want supper. Exhausted and ready to go to Bed! Brought home pizza and tucson bread sticks for hubs and kids for supper and i'm not even tempted. I really Really hope the scale is nicer to me tomorrow but if Not i'll just keep at it! I managed to get a size 4 on today! Tight 4 but dang! Size 4! How the heck did that happen!? Lol! It'll be a while before they'd be comfortable but hey Lol

Laura: Your stats just keep going down and down that is motivating to see. And you are always so positive.

Mother goose:
Every time I look at your stats and see that you have lost a 100 pounds it makes me smile very big. This woe really works and works well. Way to go.

I put a 11 pound brisket on last night at 9pm central time last night. It has been on for close to 10 hours now. Should be super tasty by noon or so for a 15 hours smoke!!!! I had to get up often to check on it so I hope it turns out tasty and moist. I have won BBQ competitions with my ribs, but just never had the patience to do a brisket, I have tried but I always rush and they come out dry. We just had a rain storm come through so that cooled my pit off hope it does not ruin the brisket, either way myself and my friends will enjoy eating that during the cowboys game, or the dogs will be overjoyed eating it!!!LOL About to put on a rack of ribs and a huge chicken so they can get 5 hours of smoking just in case brisket is a disaster. Loss another pound today so happy about that. averaging a pound a day so far.

Wow, you are doing so well. Certainly can't argue with your diet, ratios or otherwise. Obviously it's working for you. Congrats. What amazing progress you're making. Yay for you!! I really have to get the motivation to exercise. It has to make a difference, right? I can go to our "free" gym at work but feel to intimidated to work out beside co-workers. I tried Curves before and liked it but they've gotten very expensive. I think I will try one of the "dance" videos for starters but again kuddos to you on your journey. btw: let's see some pics of your furkids!!

This is day 7 on a FF. and I have gone from 161 to 153. I did gain 5 lbs on a binge before I started so I am back down those 5 plus I lost 3 lbs. I am not sure if I can last any longer on it though I am hungry for some real food. I got major bad breath now so I do think I am finally in Ketosis, Yay! I tried for over a month to get there on induction and it didn't seem to work which tells me I need to play around with my protein and fat %. My fat is probably too low and my protein too high. Hope every one is having a great weekend

So we ended up naming our guy, "Gunner". He is a great dog! A few things we need to train him on but he's smart and will do fine.

evertd, there are so many factors that come into play. I try and analyze what I've eaten the day before but usually its just something else going on with my body. Just keep doing what you're doing and you will lose. You're doing awesome!

Christina, congrats on the loss! I hope you can figure out a balance so that you aren't hungry. I just keep my protein portions to the size of my hand and eat a lot of fat. I'm rarely hungry but eat if I am.

Thanks! I think this whole group is amazing! I look at everyone's losses and where we all started. I'm so glad to be a part of the group. I know I wouldn't have stuck with this as long as I have if it hadn't been for you all. Gunner is a beautiful dog and such a sweet and smart guy. I can't believe a dog like him ended up in rescue. His first family left him in the crate all the time because he was "too much work". We think the man of the house might have been abusive too. Gunner is a little timid around my husband. But once he realizes my husband is a softie, they'll be pals.

Kemp all I can do is just keep going. I figure I'm testing recipes right and left and still losing so I must be doing something right. And look at you go with your pound a day... keep it up. Let me know how the brisket ends up. I keep thinking about gettin a smoker. Might have to they should be going on sale soon it not already.

Bonny-Jean a dance video would be a great way to start... it's a start that's the hardest part of anything .... starting.

evertd, I work 3rd shift so I don't always get the sleep I need. It makes a huge difference on the scale. You can tell which days I didn't get enough sleep by my numbers.

I'm sick today. I woke up with a sore throat and runny nose. I haven't been sick in 2 1/2 years...so this sucks. Went and got some cold medicine after work so hopefully that helps.

Bulldog: Glad you got your furbaby. He looks awesome and happy. Oh and almost another pound down so good job.

Bonny jean: Do not know if this helps but I am also embarrassed when I start back up at my health club. The towels do not fit around me and I am in general the biggest guy in the gym, and I belong to a very large gym. And these people have seen me lose the weight more than once. But it is what I have to do. They honestly are encouraging, never a snide remark. So I hold my head high and say I am doing something about my weight and I should be proud of that!!! So get back in there and get er' done!!! Even if it is the dance video anything will work. We are here for you.

Laura: you are doing great keep it up

Stay the course this really works if you work it. Way to stick with it so far, sorry you are having lots of stress.

Well Inwas not going to weigh until the 31st, with hope of reaching 170 on th dot. However, my clothes were feeling really loose, so I got on the scale & I am just 4 lbs away. I think I can do this!!!

Kemp they are so so cute!!! It's a good thing you don't live closer or I'd have to take one of them off of your hands! And my BF will kill me if we get another dog! As it is, I keep threatening to start sleeping in the spare room because our girls sleep in the bed with us and they're blanket hogs! LOL

Shelly, breathing is optional, just the fact that you can get them on counts!

So much happens on here overnight!

Kemp, WTG! Keep doing as you do. It definitely works. I hope your brisket turns out Great! And so adorable puppies. I am an animal person. We have chickens, goats, rabbits, dogs, and just got a new guinea pig last night. We used to have horses and this fall weather really makes we want another one right now. I miss riding trails in the fall.

Bulldog - I am glad you finally got your baby. He looks so cute!

evertd, haven't talked to you much on here, but it will come down. Stress and no sleep definitely can stall you for a little bit.

christina, start eating again. FF are optimal at the the 4 day mark. Try using a ketosis calculator to know your macros. To me they really help you get an accurate picture of your ranges.

Bonny, exercise is good if you can do it, but you can lose without it. I don't exercise at all because of medical conditions and have still been able to lose. Do what you feel is good and right for you. The dance video sounds fun.

Laura, do you homeopathic remedies? We use Kid's Relief. It all natural and works pretty fast. Tastes really good too. Adults just double the kid dose. I hope you feel better.

Looking through everyones' posts, we are all enjoying losses this month. It may go up at times but the overall picture is a downward trend. So to Everyone KUTGW!!
