Thanks for all of the nice compliments everyone! DairyQueen, I usually hide behind my kids by putting them in my lap. They weren't with us so I had to use my purse. LOL

Mthrgoos, you are so close to onederland! I'm getting excited for you! Soon you'll be doing even crazier things like scuba diving with sharks!

I do so much cooking/baking too - I can't even remember the last time we ate out, its been months. I have binders too! and I have sooooo many recipes bookmarked its crazy. I back up my bookmarks weekly too so I don't lose any of my delicious possiblities!
I'm a bit techy, not a full-on programmer, but I have been thinking about coding a tricked out recipe database that I can search by ingredient and make shopping lists from, etc. I know there are some apps out there already but I'm a nerd and like the challenge

Just a quick check-in.

OMG - BulldogMom you are Gorgeous! You have come so far. I am amazed.

Mycattaz & MtherGoos - WTG! KUTGW!

I personally have hit a stall - went back up to 184.8 and the scale is not moving since I last posted a weigh-in. I haven't gone off plan, haven't cheated, not near TOM, still drinking at least 10x8 water, measurements the same - there just is NO change anywhere. So, I don't know what is up. I am going to keep doing the same, but if another week goes by and no movement, I don't know.... I get frustrated so easily.

I went with the family to a theme park this weekend and walked a lot. Had my picture taken and even though I have lost almost 20#, I was disgusted with the picture. Everyone wanted to buy it, but I wouldn't let them. Ugghh.

KUTGW to anyone I missed.

Thank you Alex.. No lose today.. still hoping for that Whoosh to come soon.. I just am looking so forward to getting into the 230's... I have mens bluejeans for a long time... Most women I find are the stretch ones and they do not look good on my drum stick legs... haha... anyway.. Last night I tried on a pair of 38 and I finally got them on.. not sure what they would be in a woman size... But I was so happy to get them on...


a friend of mine gave me a bunch of cloths the other day... I have always been bigger then her.... well when I got home everything I tried on was way to big....

I took up a few things... I am still not comfortable in lady's dress pants... that might take a while and she gave me alot of them... my cloths are wierd sizes... I can wear a size 18 skirt, but can also wear a size 12 skirt...all depends on how the are made...everything is always to big for me in the waist and to get a dress it always big on top but fits me on bottom.... so I am always taking up cloths in some way... I have a favorite gown I like to wear... I brought it when I was 416... I have taken it up so many times and even put knew straps on it and now it needs to be taken up again... ... might do that today...

maybe its time you change it up alittle, it helps me... if you are doing introduction add vegetables... if you are doing OWL go back to introduction for a few days... something about changing it up helps get you past that stall

Thank you for the compliment! You all are making me blush! Like you, I hate getting my picture taken. I can point out every little flaw. But I've realized that other people don't analyze my photos as harshly as I do. I'm guessing that we all are like that.

Stalls are frustrating. I agree with what the others said. Maybe its time to switch things up for a little bit. Carb cycling hasn't worked for me because I haven't been in a true stall when I went off plan. But for others it seems to kick start their losses again.

Shelly, I think we're in sync more than we realize. We seem to gain at the same time for the same amount of time. So if I wake up tomorrow and see that you've lost, then I know its safe for me to weigh. LOL Looking back it seems that on my last cheat, my weight went up for two days before going back down again. Oh well, I consider it a Carb Nite Solution experiment that failed.

mycattaz, that's so awesome about the clothes! Always a good feeling when you try something on and it unexpectedly is too big. Of course that means more work for you having to fix things.

Alex, that would be neat to have a user friendly website like you're describing. I know they're a lot of lc menus out there now, but a lot of them still have ingredients that can cause me to gain or stall. So it would be neat to look up recipes by ingredients.

WTG Laura! I'm thinking you'll be in the 80s by November!

BulldogMom, I agree, you look great in pictures. But, I totally understand. After years of being the fat one in the picture, I avoid them at all cost. My husband is the same way. After 18 years of marriage we only have one family photo and I was 150 in that photo and I still thought I was fat.....go figure.

I don't like my picture taken either... easier to take them if its from the neck up..haha... My last picture I took with my husband we were in Gatlinburg and did a wedding photo...it was fun to dress up and I really liked how I looked.. Its a good thing to take picture while you are losing so don't be afraid of the camera...always good to look back and see how far you have come

mycattaz - Our hubbys are doing great. Tell him good job for me They are running about the same in weight loss. My hubby started @ 285 and now he weighs 268. I am happy for him and a little annoyed at the same time.....so conflicted.

I'd like to blame it on my hormones or the hysterectomy but its the darn cheesecake. Gets me every time. We were celebrating our 10 yr anniversary so I had a hard time resisting. I'm trying to convince dh to let me adopt a chocolate lab for a running partner. At least that kind of chocolate won't make me gain weight. LOL

Hang in there!
Stalling can be frustrating & we all go through it.
It may seem unconventional, but I think a "cheat day" may reset your system.
Once a month I eat whatever I want (usually on date nights with hubby or kids Bday party). Then I go back to strict induction the next day & it seems to work.

I love it when you look at the clock and it says 1 pm and you have not even thought about food... we always eat breakfast pretty early by at least 8 anyway... so I am just now sitting down to a Omelet and coffee...
