Well I can see that alot of people are getting discouraged.... My husband is the same way right now... I asked him " How do you feel"? How is your energy level.. how do your cloths feel.... all the answers were " GREAT"

Need to focus not so much on the scales as we do how we feel when we are doing Atkins...This week we added in vegetable mostly at night... and trying to up our fat.. and the scales are slowly moving down again.... Hubby not yet, but its coming.. He is good at those WHOOSHES

Sorry it takes awhile to respond, there is a big time difference.

Skinny- I am so scared of carbs right now so tomatoes make me really nervous. This could be one of my biggest problems, maybe I need to add in more carbs

MtherGoos- I just started exercising a week ago because I wasn't losing. I was hoping it would help me out a little.

mjgh06- I drink lots of water, I am not sure exactly how much but I know it is a lot. I refill my bottle constantly. No, I have not figured out my macros. Is there a online calculator for that?

Trinigirl- I add fat into my coffee. I usually have 1-2 Tb of coconut oil and butter in my coffee in the morning. If it doesn't bother anyone I may start posting my menu maybe someone could point out what I am doing wrong

LauraDavis- I have tweaked it so many times it is crazy. Got rid of cheese, HWC, processed meat like bacon and pepperoni, added fat, taken out fat, watched my calories, maybe I have done it too many times??

Mycattaz- I started out following new Atkins but it does seem like I moved to Atkins 72. Right now I am just eating VLC

Shelly we had a hump day party today! Nachos with all the fixings and stuffed peppers and flavored cappachinos with pumpkin bake and peanut butter cheesecake bites for dessert. We went all out tonight!!! It was fun.

Bulldogmom, hope you child feels better today... it seems alot of stuff is going around here in Alabama...

Laura peanut butter cheesecake bites OH MY!

Christina just hang in there... if you are doing everything right, then the scales eventually have to move in the right direction....

Well another lb down for me this morning.. losing is slower this month then last month, I was hoping to lose 15 lbs this month but from the way it looks might not make it... but I am 6 lbs down so I will take it... 5 more lbs to reach the 230's it always seems the scales get stuck for me when I reach the 240's so I am trying to up my fat intake and back away from the cheese some... we are only doing two meals a day right now... we eat breakfast kinda late and I am full until we eat dinner at 5 and fine till bed time...

Thanks! Getting that Back off that came Back! I swear some mornings i'd be better off staying in bed! My 16 yr old son came home yesterday with Soaking wet shoes, they went fly fishing yesterday for a school field trip. But the turd didn't bother to Tell me his shoes were soaking wet! So of course they were/are still wet this morning! Last second too! So he gets sent to school in his daddys shoes! Sam wears a size 15, Dad a size 13! You can guess how that went over! I'm moody as H*ll today! Broke, tired, need a job, need my truck fixed! Ugh! I Know it'll get better! Ok enough of my pity party!! Lol!

Mthergoos, I've just taken that leap of faith also and ditched my bigger clothes. Its not easy because I did love some of the shirts. I can't wait to be in the sizes you are now. I've been in size 16 for a while now.

christina6281, Dig your heels in and stay with us for a while. It helps having this support when the scale isn't being kind. I would have quit a long time ago if it weren't for the group here.

mycattaz, Thanks so much for the good thoughts! From Oct thru March, it seems that we always have at least one person in this house who will be sick. But it isn't surprising since we're all over the place. You and your dh are doing awesome!

Hello

Hello, I am wondering if it's too late to join the October challenge. I really need some support and motivation. I am on day 2 of induction. My doctor says I need to lower my carbs or risk diabetes. I currently weigh 182.2 lbs. I started at 183.0 on 10/15/13. I would like to weigh 140 lbs long term. My goal for the month of October is to lose 8 lbs and weigh 175 lbs.

I sooo know how you feel. My 17 yr old son really irritates me some times, he just does not think. But I always get the comment "I'm grown, mama!" Sometimes my 16 yr old daughter and l just look at him like "Wow, where did you come from!

Like everyone says it will be okay, and this too shall pass. It always does.

Breakfast- bullet proof coffee 2 large cups (1 1/2 Tb coconut oil and 2 Tb butter total) 380 cal
Lunch- 3 egg omelet with 3 oz cooked ground beef (drained and rinsed very good) with home made taco seasoning.
Dinner- taco salad- 2 cups lettuce, 6 oz of taco meat like lunch, 2 Tb taco sauce and 1 Tb of mayo cause I had no sour cream and my Ranch is too high of calories

Shelly hang tough... isn't the saying it's always darkest before the dawn. You are a great person and good things are going to come your way. I thought the move was the worst thing to happen to me in a long time it was a ton of stress all at once, yet I got through it with flying colors got a plan and put it in action. Now I just love my new home! I feel so much more comfortable here than I did at the other place. This is home and it's mine! So just weather through this tough patch and see what brightness comes out the other side.

Like everyone says it will be okay, and this too shall pass. It always does. yeagerdee this is one of my Grandmothers favorite sayings... she has used it a lot on me.

christina back away from the "dirt" do not I repeat do not bury your face in it and slurp up the gummy worms! Seriously your menu sounds fine.

Christina - the one I intially used to get me started was a Keto-calculator. Why are you draining and rinsing the meat. Don't do that, fat good, fat mmmmm other than that ..looks good.
