I really can't believe I continued to go down again! I haven't had these kinds of results since my first week! The only real change that I can think of is that I started physical therapy for tendonitis in my shoulder this week. It is really the only formal exercise I have done and it has been fairly gentle.

I made a really delicious dinner tonight. I used the cauliflower pizza crust and modified it to make as taco shells. 1 cup riced cooked cauliflower, 1 cup taco cheese, 1 egg mixed together and pressed into tortilla-sized rounds and bake on parchment paper at 450 degrees. Filled it with ground beef, lettuce, picante sauce, guacamole and sour cream. Deliciousness.

Here what I got from the JUDDD website: "The two-week induction phase is the most restrictive part of the Johnson UpDayDownDay Diet™ but is necessary to activate the body's genetic response to alternate-day calorie restriction. To begin experiencing the many benefits from "turning on" your SIRT1 gene, it is important to limit yourself to no more than 500 calories on Down Days during this period. Prepackaged diet shakes and bars from Slim Fast®, Atkins®, and other companies can help make sure that you don't go above 500 calories on Down Days during these two weeks.

On Up Days you will be free to eat as much as you would like (without intentionally overeating) as well as the kind of food that you would like. It's important to enjoy Up Days in order to avoid the diet fatigue that often sets in when following other weight loss plans.

Although Down Days in the induction phase may sound challenging, remember that a Down Day is immediately followed by an Up Day. You will never have to restrict your calories for more than one day at a time. You will be able to eat whatever and however much you would like the very next day.

After that, you are free to eat regular food on Down Days. Also, depending on your weight loss goals, you will be able to eat larger amounts. While it is still perfectly acceptable for you to continue eating 500 calories, or 20 percent of your regular calorie intake, on Down Days after the induction phase, many individuals find that eating up to 35 percent is easier to maintain over the long term.

When you have lost the amount of weight that you desire, you can maintain your weight by eating up to 50 to 60 percent of your normal calorie allowance on Down Days. "

I am in induction, and modified it with Atkins and my former woe before the weight gain. I use the Up Day, Down Day but on UD I follow the Atkins 72 Induction plan (DADR) and on DD I fast with water only. Fasting was a way of life for me before I started getting sick and fat. When I stopped regularly fasting is when everything went haywire and it's been that way since. So I figured if I was healthy then, I should return to that woe. Fasting has so many health benefits and can actually work with LCing and boost your weight loss by releasing hormones to cause the body to use energy at a faster rate.

My diet isn't for everyone. For most people it can difficult to fast even for a few hours. But there are more and more people starting to understand the benefits of at least Intermittent Fasting (IFing) with LCing. I fortunately never get hungry and only eat because I should. So it easy for me to fast and then eat LC the next day. I keep a diet journal of everything including how much spice, salt etc. and even on my UD I have never gone over 14carbs or 1200 calories, on average my calories on UD are around 1000. After two weeks, I will reevaluate where I am at and adjust my diet if needed.

Oh and I did check my weight today as it is my TOM. I wanted to see if I had gained some of the water weight back. Nope, down another 2lbs. Now at 184.1. It's all water weight right now. My clothes don't feel different, just the scale moving. I started taking my measurements this morning so I can see if that is changing.
Thanks for sharing JUDDD info & your experiences.
I may give it a try to shake things up if I start to stall.
I have done juice fasts and water fasts before, with success.
I started the week at 184 but have not weighed, so hoping I am around 178-9 on Sunday. Once I get to 170 I think I will try JUDDD.
You are doing great!

Well I had a melt down when I got him this afternoon..we have a very very busy weekend ahead...it's our Thanksgiving weekend.. we are having a harvest thanksgiving pig roast and pot luck tomorrow, for our farm hands friends and family that have helped us all year, we also invite many of our neighbors (also farmers) as well as our buys restaurant owners/operators who purchase our organic eggs, fruit and vegetables, so last night I started getting ready..I'm an organized person, so all summer I plan and purchase what I need so I go up at 2 am and started some chilly etc..I left chores to be done by everyone's.left them asleep an went to work, got home and they had just started..to then to bank it all...Remember I Made the chilly well to stretch out the meat we have add beans..etc.then to stretch it further I add, pasta and potatoes, but I asked my dh to remove some of the cooked meat put it n a container for me...then add the other stuff...well he did not he forgot..now I'm usually even temper but when I said why he did not leave out the plain meat for me he said well all you have to do is pick out the other stuff...(No Big Thing) omg I lost it, I had everyone running to look at their crazy mother..I think I had it...today..it not that he forgot to take out a share for me, or the comment, it was that I am exhausted, will have most of the running around this weekend..And sometimes they just don't listen to instructions..oh and did I mention..that the "family Thanksgiving will be held here as well on Sunday as well..so more running and cooking..well I'm hiding out in my bedroom and I can hear everyone. Four children, husband, the girlfriends being busy outside..so I guess sometimes it's worth the shouting..lol..well that my rant..
So I off for now..
Thanks for reading. Will try to post again over the weekend big hugs all.
...hang in there Trini.
One day they will realize all you do and feel bad for how they acted.

Congrats bolldogmom!

Way to go Fluffy, mjgh06, Laura and Validrouge! KUTGW!

Trinigirl, I hope you were able to get some rest last night!! You certainly have a lot on your plate this weekend! Hang in there lady!

Shelly, hope you have a great time at the wedding! I'm sure you will look amazing!

My pumpkin bake turned out delicious, especially with a dabble of whipped cream. However, I don't think I should make stuff like that during TOM as it was way too tempting to have in the fridge given my extra sweet cravings this week. I ate too much and it certainly showed up on the scale. It will come right back off though, thankfully. I know I didn't gain 3 lbs overnight from a few slices of pumpkin bake, so I'm pretty sure TOM was the main reason. Fingers crossed that it's water weight........

Valid, GJ on the weight loss! That taco recipe sounds so good! I have to buy some parchment paper. I thought wax paper was the same thing and bought it. HAHA joke on me - I tried a cheese pizza crust and it melted into the crust-not edible.

Trini, are you doing any better?

WTG Fluffy, Laura, Julie, and Shellie! You are all doing Wonderful! KUTGW

It looks like a fall day here, but just isn't cool enough. Still in the 80's and high today is in 90's. I want the cooler weather to come on in.
Hope everyone has a Wonderful Saturday!

I usually make pizza using Linda Sue's recipe with the cheese and cream cheese. Soo Good! Last time I just layered cheese then a little sauce then veggies and meat and more cheese on top and baked it for a few min until hot and melted the cheese. S
o good! And faster then what I usually did.

Another pound and another step closer to my goal! 268/263/180
No turning back! I lost a pund a day the first week faithfully, I don't know why I ever stop doing this diet. Oh now I remember why, french fries, noodles, cheesecake etc. So glad I have found low carb versions of all of these things so I don't have to deprive myself again. I can help myself without guilt.

Down half a pound today to an even 208. Just 8 more pounds to the hundred pound mark! Would really really love to hit that this month, but I kind of doubt it. I'll just keep plugging away and we'll see what happens.

Shelly, you're so close to this months goal already!!

Julie, that's why I can't make that stuff. I just have no self control, and I know I would eat it all once I started! My BF does much better, so I sometimes make things for him, but I'm so afraid that if I take even one bite it will be all downhill from there! Obviously my issues with my food have not been resolved!

BulldogMom, Fluffy, and Kimmarieann, nice drops!!!

Trini, how are you feeling?

Laura, how are you liking the new place? Getting settled in?

I'm loving it. Ready for everything to be situated so I can start getting some sleep but soon enough. I moved so quick my head is still spinning. The lil boys seem to like the new place as well. My fox terrier is running down the long hallway having a blast! Plus the rules here are no tie outs so I have to walk them to go potty... they love that!

Lack of sleep is not my friend. But the Directv is hooked up and the new washer and dryer are in the utility room and working! YAY I spent the time that I had to stay awake cooking so that might not have helped. I made 2 kinds of sweet pickles, pumpkin bake, peanut butter cheesecake bites, pork carnitas in the crockpot. Yeppers I was a busy girl.

I had to laugh b/c we are in a similar situation, sleep wise and cooking-wise
I got like 3 hrs of sleep last night (speaking of which, WHY am I STILL up??) and spent today chopping, prepping, and cooking, and will do more tomorrow too. I was even going to make the pumpkin bake too!
PS LOVE crock pot pork! I put some bacon on the bottom to give it a smoky taste/smell, and salt it with red sea salt. SO GOOD! I have one serving left in my freezer so that will be on the menu soon too. Congrats on your place coming together! Cheers

Alex I'm gonna get sleep today! The poor lil boys are so confussed on when to sleep at this point. They only went outside 3 times yesterday. Buddy usually goes out around 6 times a day and more if he can talk me into it. They have to get used to the new schedule because the rules at the new place are strict. They have to go out on a lead, although I have his tie out for morning potty time but I stand out there with them. They are liking the fact that now mom has to walk them a couple times a day. Buddy has figured out leash means we're going out the front door and morning means the back door. Anyway hope everyone has a great day today! (while I'm sleeping)

Oh Alex I'm gonna work on a chicken primavera casserole today... I'll let ya know what I come up with.

Laura, glad to hear you're settling in! Hope you're getting some sleep! Your food sounds yummy!

Congrats to all our losers! KUTGW everyone!

It is STILL cold and wet here in the DC area. It's been raining 3 days straight! I'm ready for some sun! My weight is still bouncing around. Got on the treadmill yesterday and plan to get on it again today. For me it seems to help with the scale.

It looks like I made my goal for October but I've made goal before and bounced right back up. I'd like to think I could hit 189 by the end of the month but I'll settle for making 195 stick.

Thanks for the support everybody! Congrats to all of the losers!

Shelly, Congrats on the loss! You look amazing and I hope you had a great time at the wedding.

Fluffy and Julie1972, great drops!

Mthergoos, I have a feeling we'll be celebrating very soon on you hitting that 100 lb mark. That's going to be quite an achievement.

Laura, glad you're settling into your new place nicely. That extra weight is going to come off in no time. You're in onederland for good this time.

Sounds good to me! Then we'll bounce between 191 and 189 because our scales like torturing us.
