Help! Popcorn craving!

Hi everyone! I have been on induction for a week now, and have been doing great with minimal cravings. However, someone at the office just popped a bag of popcorn and I want some sooo bad! Any ideas on snacks I can try to replicate the salty, buttery, goodness?? If it crunches, that's a bonus.

I know that's not really butter they use, but some artificial, possibly toxic, neon orange blend of oils and chemicals. But still. Would love to have a bite. :yummy:

Thanks!
Bren

It's not worth it, try pork rinds instead!

Oh yeah! Pork rinds are my go to crunchy snack. Makes a good substitute for potato chips and such.

Except that my wife hates the smell, and also thinks it is just gross in general, so I try to limit how much I eat at home.

My go to snack t the movies is pistachios in the shell. They are salty and crunchy, a perfect combo and I don't miss the popcorn at all.

macadamias...raw nuts in the shell. pumkin seeds, celery, broccoli, cauliflower. dip in fav dressing.

as odd as it sounds, fried eggs in butter with a pinch of salt did the trick! I think maybe I was just craving something buttery when I smelled the popcorn, rather than crunchy.

I have tried to like pork rinds, but whew, I just can't do it. Just the smell of them grosses me out.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone!!

Krispy fried bacon or kale chips. I have to buy a lot of kale because I eat up the entire batch at once when I make kale chips!

How do you make kale chips?

Even better if you can find the microwaveable bags of pork rinds. Sooooo much better than the usually puffy kind. My local butcher carries them. If anyone complains about the smell, you can always tell them "yeah I have that problem with the popcorn y'all keep microwaving." :D
