Thanks GailyGail! Even though Jack can be a pain sometimes, he is a great guy. My squash fell on the floor and he quickly gobbled it up before I could get to it. I'm still not over that. Glad you could join us! The more the merrier!

I've been avoiding the scale the last week or so, because the fluctuations were driving me nuts, but I got on today and saw a 3 pound loss! Finally in the 2 teens!

I don't know about all versions of Atkins, but on Atkins 72, I don't believe it is legal on induction. I think it's something you can add in later as go through the rungs of OWL.

thanks MtherGoos... I found out that it was not legal on introduction.... oh well, must do what I must do... I am sticking to introduction Everyone is doing really good... its so motivating seeing all the loses... I need to set me some goals.. wonder how much I can lose this month?

Morning everyone!

Thanks for the welcomes. I'm feeling good today, and hope you are all too!

I think I went into ketosis last night. All of a sudden my hands and feet got super warm and I started having to pee every half hour.

I've lost three pounds since my restart Sept 3. A pound a day (confession: to get today's pound I had to push the scale to a different spot on the floor . I think the first time I did Atkins a decade ago I lost 6 lbs in the first three days. But I've had two kids and am a decade older, right? Patience grasshopper.

Maybe it's the salt. I made a big pot of chicken broth yesterday and had a couple of cups of that and it's pretty salty. Sure was though. I made it from a medication-free chicken I roasted the other night that was so delicious and some celery/onion/wee bit of carrot/garlic.

When I'm doing LC I try to treat myself to the best food I can afford. Organic, local, hormone and med free, free range, etc. Why is that when I go off plan I am happy to eat any old thing from any old store as long as it's super-carbed. I sure have abused my poor body in the last few years.

Okay, now I'm taking my own buzz off. Time to lighten up already!

Today's menu: more chicken broth, bac/eggs for lunch, kale and farmer's sausage for dinner (kale chips for the kiddos - they love 'em).

Kaillean what is Kale chips?

my husband started out yesterday at 289... and he was telling me he thought it was 298, so he got on the scale again today and it was 283.. He lost 5 lbs over night... Awesome He so needed it to keep him motivated...

I brought some Ketosis strips, I haven't had those in years... but wanted to check and see if I am in Ketosis... do you do that first thing in the morning

So I had a dream last nite...I was in the mall shopping naked and very hungry!
It crossed my mind to find clothes but really I just wanted a pizza...so I ate one,all of it... I was sooo upset that I had gone off plan I didn't care that I was naked and everyone was staring...hehe. I was so happy when I woke up and knew it was a dream and I hadn't messed up .lol I still really understand the naked part oh well I didn't eat a pizza so all is well....I dream about food a lot..

Ticker LOL. Wouldn't it be awesome if you could really go to the mall naked? It would make it so much easier to try on clothes.

Cattaz- Kale chips are just kale leaves roasted in the oven (pat them dry well first). I mist mine with olive oil and salt/pepper and you just leave them at around 375 degrees until they crisp up. You have to keep an eye on them. They don't take long. This is the only way my kids will eat kale. (And only because the cool Earth Bites guy from a program at my kids school did it for them first.) I like them too, they're pretty tasty.

ticker9400, I've had dreams about food and waking up thinking I've gone off plan. Thankfully it isn't often!

ticker.. way to funny, I often dream about food too... but never being naked at the mall.....

Well I skimmed my 260 goal last month at 260.6 ill try for 255 by the end of this month I guess. Didn't weight today but was around 264 within last 2 days.
