Shelly: I liked you before now I like, Like you. Hunting and fishing is my life for the next 6 months. Dove season to Turkey season. I let my wife know that when we got married she was marrying the seasons, Dove season, Duck season, Goose season, Deer season, quail season, turkey season, and fishing season. LOL

Two pound whoosh this morning. Feels good, even though I know it is all water weight. Have stayed on plan eating between 3-6 carbs the first two days. Hope to get through the flu and into feeling good by Monday. Hitting the gym today, will need to knock the dust off the locker when I get there. LOL

That sounds good!

I used kelp noodles to make Fettuccine Alfredo yesterday. I ate waaaay too much but it was fantastic. A whole bag of kelp noodles is only 3 carbs, 3 grams of fiber and 18 calories. I topped it with a mixture of grassfed butter, organic HWC, fresh shredded italian blend cheese, salt and pepper.

Happy Happy Birthday!!!
Ah Kemp Thanks! I hunted as a child then got out of it because my Dad didn't hunt but when my Husband and I got together 25 Years ago he hunted and trapped so I got into it again. I usually just deer hunt but DH has gotten into Turkey hunting so i'll probably do that this yr if possible. We usually shoot squirrls and rabbit too since we live In the woods they are plentiful! Lol! We have Bear too but we don't hunt those. My husbands best friend has wild hogs on their property but we haven't had the chance to get after any. Our kids Love hunting too! My 12 yr old daughter brought down a Huge 8 point last yr with 1 shot. Just dropped him!

Happy Birthday DQ! I hope you love wearing your pants!!

Everyone talking about fishing: I'm not much of a hunter or a fisher at all, but my husband left at the spark of sunrise this morning to go fish on Lake Erie. I don't even really LIKE fish that often, but he's taken to "breading" his catches with pork rinds and I feel like I'm having a gourmet meal, lol.

I hope that everyone has a wonderful day. :-)

September goal: 227. (that's another 8 pounds..we'll see if 8 is my magic number?)

9/5- 234.5
9/4-Didn't weigh
9/3-235
9/2-234.8
9/1-235

I went to parent orientation night for my youngest daughter's pre-school and realized that I wasn't the fattest mom anymore. Not that it matters what the other moms weigh, but it did make me self-conscious when my oldest was in pre-school and I was the heaviest. When I had sugar on Monday, I noticed that my running on Tuesday was affected. It was a struggle to power through my workout. Two days off of sugar and my running time decreased by a minute. My first 5k is in a month so hopefully with no cheats and a lot of training, I'll be able to complete the race in under 45 min. That might be stretching it though since there are some obstacles to go through too. How do you train to scale a 16 ft wall? LOL

1moregin, you are doing awesome! You're such a huge motivator for me to keep exercising. Some people will argue that exercise isn't necessary for weight loss. All I can think of is that quote I saw somewhere that said "Skinny girls look good in clothes but fit girls look good naked". Don't know if I'll ever look good naked but its worth a try right? LOL

Shelly, have a burger for me!

FitMommyNow, I have a 7 and 4 yr old also. Its a fun age even though they can be exhausting sometimes.

Happy Birthday DairyQueen!!! I hope its a great one for you!

Everyone is doing great with their losses! I bet we can all make goal with this momentum we've going.

BulldogMom, you're just about back to Onderland, and I KNOW it will stick this time!! You're doing so awesome! I have no idea how you train to scale a wall! LOL Good luck!

1moreGin, you are doing amazing! Your drops this last week are so inspiring!

Kemp, it's so nice to have you back and to be seeing your quick drops. You'll be back to where you were before in no time at this rate.

Trini, is your stomach handling your vitamins any better?

Genie80, Don't worry, I've had many weeks of not losing, it just means a Whoosh is headed your way. Don't let it discourage you!

Hope everyone enjoys a great day!

DQ - Happy Birthday!!
BulldogMom - I'm running a 5k in about a month too. I run them semi-frequently, but for some reason still get nervous before each one. Also, I love the quote

Goal = 169.2 - that will be 10% from the start

Sept. 3 - 180.2
Sept. 4 - 178.8
Sept. 5 - 176.8 (woot!)

Thanks Mthrgoos! Anytime my weight has gone up its because I've eaten something I shouldn't have. Thankfully there are no more holidays anytime soon and the next family birthday is at the end of Oct. I shouldn't have any excuses for a while.

Julianna, glad to see someone else running! Got any tips for me? This 5k will be my first one and it looks exciting. I'd really like to do the military mud challenge but that's years down the road. If the race is fun, I'll do it but if its just straight running, I'd get bored.

Welcome Kaillean! Your story could be my story. My youngest is 4 1/2 yrs old and I've finally gotten the pregnancy weight off. I'm working on the weight gained during the time dh and I dated, and then I'll work off the weight gained when I was 20something and thought I had all the time in the world. LOL

Back on track. Trying to read the new post but 6 pages is slowing me down at work LOL. Gonna post real quick. Was off for a week to spend time with my daughter. We hit the amusement parks etc. cleaned her room and my house!!! No exercise for the week. So ending the month around where I started couldn't be that bad right? And I got lazy and added some carbs that week. Needless to say. No more sweets in the house etc and I also got a new bbq!!! im so excited to finally cook some meat without the burn.

Welcome all the newbies. And looking forward to the losses.

BulldogMom - I ran cross country and track in middle and high school, but then didn't start running again until after my 2nd daughter was born. (Also the time I was in the best shape of my life!) I ran several half marathons and lots of 10Ks and 5Ks. Now, I stick to mainly 5Ks with the occasional 10K I think my best tips are 1) Get good shoes. I got fitted at a running center and my shoes are now awesome. It makes a huge difference and can help prevent injury. 2) The first mile sucks the worst. If you can make it through that, you are golden. 3) KEEP RUNNING! Every time I quit running for an extended period of time, I'm reminded of this one.
Also, are you following a running program? I've had a lot of friends do C25K and like it quite a bit (I haven't done this one).
Keep me updated!

hi everyone! Here is my birthday sandwich. Needless to say, I could only eat a few slices of the pastrami, but it sure is impressive!
